  1. Belinda86, As you can see, you are not alone in this. Many have been in the same place. You have been given some good advice in these post, continue to pray. Some of the best advice that has been posted: Stay away from this person. It is not your fault! Often the abused feels that they caused the abuse. YOU DID NOT CAUSE THIS! That is a lie strait from hell. Do not write anything that is not true. I suggest that you do write something, but write down what did happen. Seek Christian Counselling. Talk to a Pastor and see if He can or if he knows someone who can do this type of Counselling. Most importantly do not hide this issue, anytime abuse happens it needs to be reported. Finally seek God! Ask Him to begin to show you how He is going to use this part of your life for the Kingdom work He has for you to do. I was abused as a child as well, you may read the beginning of my testimony in the testimony section, titled "God's Grace (part 1). God has used that time in my life to make me who I am, and I praise Him. I am now a Associate Pastor and Youth Minister at a small Church in Florida. God has used my life to reach others, and for that I am thankful. Let me know if I can help in any way. In Christ Service, Humilis
  2. Since the KJV is out of the question, The MacArthur Study Bible in NKJV is a great one of someone who is a new Christian, it is a bite large however. Also, there is a new translation, the Christian Standard Bible (CSB), published by Holman, it is a good modern english translation. I personally have both and use both. In Christ Service, Humilis
  3. Good Replies, I'm glad as well to see someone correctly identified the fact that the church at Laodecia is a false, unsaved, apostate church, a church of the unsaved. "I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire." The fire mentioned here is a refining fire which tests our faith. We often incorrectly focus on the gold and miss the fire! Many in our churches today do this same thing, focusing on works, the material and sometimes the results(numbers) as an indicator of faithfulness. The emphases here is on the purity because of the fire. All these replies are very interesting. I love to read what others believe. I wish I was wise enough to respond with clarity. Great thread....and I read on! In Christ Service, Humilis
