There's nothing wrong with sharing the love of God with our fellow man, but when you get in someones face and try to push your belief's on them, it only casts a shadow on the Word. Look at how street preachers are made to look in movies and TV. They're usually portrayed as a fanatic carrying a sign and yelling at cars. Where do you think they got that impression? And how do think people will react toward sidewalk ministers after seeing how Hollywood portrays them? I don't know.....I just believe it's not a very effective way to witness. These are just my belief's. If you want go out and preach the Word, go for it. As for me, I'll keep talking to the ones who want to listen. For the ones that don't....well, that's their loss. The best street witnessing I've seen is people who hold up signs. They are getting their message out and also available to talk if someone has any questions. I recently saw a man down town holding a big sign stating Heaven or Hell its your choice. I honked my horn and waved to him and gave a thumbs up as I went by. I just felt it was an non-intrusive effective way to get the word out.

I agree too. It is also not being demanded to put it on out of loyalty to the gov. The beast will use this to demand loyalty and will kill those who do not receive the mark.

That's great yomo that you are seeing this on your own. The holy Spirit must really be moving in you. Yes, the bible is God inspired writing to the people at that time and is like a journal. It gives great advise, teachings and we can see that their daily struggles are no different to us now. We use this to help us understand how God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things. When we are in a crisis or need help, it is the best place (besides prayer) to go to for insight . We have an awesome God!

It must be really hard. Maybe things have calmed down since your husband now has no personal belongings at her home. She also may be feeling lonely since he got married and her husband is out of town a lot and getting resentful since the only consistent man in her live (her son) is no longer there. This will take time and a lot of prayers Although your husband has you and you are his primary responsibility, he is still obligated by God to honor his parents. That doesn't mean he should allow verbal abuse, but try to love and respect her. Kindness kills evil. Even though you haven't heard from her, call her. Just tell her that you wanted to say hi and hope she's doing well. If she starts yelling or ranting on something. Just calmly let her know that you will have to end this conversation, since you will not tolerate being yelled at. Keep praying and keep in contact. Let her know you love her. Send an inspiration card. Drop off some flowers at her house. Hope this helps. May God guide you to do what is right. I'll be praying for you.

I've seen this debate before and actually the risk is very minimal to the advantages. If we stop immunizing our children because of some small risks, we will enable the diseases to come back. Then What??? IMHO Immunize your children and make sure you get your tetanus every 10 years.

Actually, I remember a bible class we had a church a couple years ago on Paul's letters to the Corinthians. During that time, any woman with dignity would wear their hair up and covered. Only the prostitutes would wear their hair down. The gentiles were going through a cultural change and women started wearing their hair down. It was a big thing. There was some other things going on, even with what the men were doing. So Paul had addressed this in his letter. There's more to it, but I can't remember it all. Maybe I can dig up my notes from that class.

I definately seen that. But I always feel bad for anyone who sits behind the women wearing the monster hat because their view to the alter must be blocked. It's nice to have beautiful hats, but atleast remove them like the old men used to do many decades ago with their hats. The covering was never meant to be a display. IMHO
