I also used the heart emoji a lot. I did ask for the run for the hills emoji and got it! Usually it's people trying to rescue their dogs which fell down the cliff here. And some months back a person got stuck halfway down a cliff and had to be rescued. Can't remember if there was a dog, too.

The proponents of gay marriage were the ones "not getting their way"....so they appealed our votes (twice) until they finally got their way.

You directed your question to @WilliamL but I wanted to make a brief comment. Years ago in California, we voted against gay marriage. Of course, the proponents of gay marriage objected. Again we voted a second time.... against gay marriage. The proponents still appealed regarding our vote. And they got our votes overturned! So even though the majority of Californians don't believe in gay marriage, our votes didn't count.

When we used to take the city bus to Santa Monica pier, the gulls would hover overhead. When we had French fries, we'd toss them in the air and the gulls would catch them.

This video has some captions to explain things like how many cats Onur gets neutered each month. Onur is still trying to catch the black cat he saw a man desert a few months ago along the rocks. He wants to get it neutered. On previous videos the poor cat just hid in the boulders....now it is feeding with the other strays. Toward the end of the video, Onur prayed for someone else to come with more food...as he had run out of food for the first time. A lady with food did come! He says municipalities catch stray cats and dump them along the ocean rocks. @JohnD @ladypeartree

He has also lost a lot of Black voters who mainly vote Democrat. I even saw a video where some homeless people sleeping under a bridge in tents said they will now vote for Trump. The above people were disgusted that so much financial and other help is being given to illegal migrants.

Personally I don't have hatred for others. Not the way I was raised. Plus as Jesus taught us "love your neighbor as yourself." I did vote for Trump initially because I thought he knew about helping the economy. Also, I thought the Supreme Court needed a couple more conservative judges to balance it out. I was very glad when he allowed Veterans to see a doctor near to where they lived.... rather than wait for ages to get an appointment at a VA hospital, which could be very far from them, too. Also, when some companies were thinking of moving to Mexico for cheap labor, I think he put an end to that thought of theirs. And, of course, the current massive flood of illegal migrants needs to be curtailed. There are plenty of homeless veterans and others who could use that financial assistance.

Here in Los Angeles, since I am registered Republican....only Republican candidates appear on our ballots. At least that's what was on our primary ballots.

Yes, Onur does work at getting the stray cats neutered. It's just that there are so many cats in Istanbul. He makes some videos showing the cats in carriers in his car with their ears slightly notched signifying they just were neutered.
