In effect, that whatever you give to the Lord, you are going to receive it back while you are on earth. I just want to hear you views on that. Answer Open your Bible to a very important portion of Scripture that has to be considered in any discussion like this [tithing], on that question, and that is 2 Corinthians 8-9, because this is where the issue is discussed. The principle that is laid down here has to be brought into thought. The whole section of 8 and 9 is talking about giving, by the way, there is nothing in here about tithing--there is nothing in the New Testament any place to advocate tithing. Prayers on behalf of the dead have no meaning, for nothing can be changed by them. God's Word shows that the dead no longer have any physical or mental activity (Psalm 146:4; Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10). Each person who dies sleeps in his grave in unconsciousness until the resurrection (John 5:28-29; Daniel 12:2; Job 19:25-26; 14:12-14; John 3:13; Acts 2:29, 34). Clearly, prayers should be for the living while there is still hope of repentance, not for the dead, who can do nothing.

I have couple of so called christians that I dont like. And its not them but their doctrines that I hate. One of the biggest ones is Benny Hinn Kenneth Copeland and many more of the false faith teachers.

I attend Grace community Church of Sun Valley California. Our pastor is John Macarthur. We are a non denominational church. I used to be in the word faith Charismatic movement till God opened His Truths.
