I am referring to events of the past that have been recorded in history. why did the exorcisms not work ?

it is human to feel suicidal. Pain and wanting an escape when it feels like God is not listening is completely normal. Depression is normal.It happens. Suicidal thoughts can be unavoidable in the right situation like the death of a loved one, or loss of a job, or divorce.....It is faith (the power to keep praying and trusting God to come through) that keeps people from acting upon these feelings. Do You ask if feeling sad and lonely or hurt is wrong? It is just an exagerated state of sadness. Some people do not find the right path and cannot find the right help. Desperation leads to desperate thoughts. I have obviously had suicidal thoughts during the harder times in life. I Thank God for giving me his love and a reason to live.

If you do an internet search on exorcisms, posessions, demons that stuff there are documented cases. I have always been taught that we are protected from these things through Christ.So I do not know how it seems to be Christians that are the ones posessed. Can't we just call the name of Jesus and be protected? I am believing that through his name we have dominion. Please explain further.

I am not condoning homosexuality. However, I think this is a Christian website. Therefore is not our main goal to show love?I see homosexuality along the same lines as any other sin. We watch movies about extramarital affairs , drugs, sex, murder , all of the time. How and why would you view homosexuality any different? At least they are not killing people or hurting other people like rapists and murderers.What about the music these days? Show love . Christ is love and he wants us to help people through his love not through hatred!!!The Church as a whole makes the biggest mistake by making people feel like outcasts because they are sinners. I got news people we are all sinners!!!

Tonight our Bible study was on being Thankful to God. Any way it is a great thing to be and it makes you so much happier.I told the children to think of how life would be if they did not have the many simple blessings in their life that God provides daily for us.

Please understand that there is absolutely nothing okay with any form of abuse. Please seek help outside of your family. Your family needs help as well. Any one in your family that is trying to get this person back around you is wrong too. If anyone ever asks you to lie that is wrong as well. I understand that there may be much confusion around you but you were right to speak up about the abuse and very brave .

Great post!!!! I wish all "Christians" knew this as well. My brother and his wife are wiccan. I prayed for a long time. At first when he came home from military leave and told us this news I was angry and I wanted to force him to believe as we were raised. I was scared to be around him and I showed no tolerance. I knew that this was wrong. Through prayers I realized that the only way to help my brother and his wife to see the truth of Christianity was through the love of Christ. Now in my relationship with my brother and his wife I simply show love and understanding. They know that my faith stands firm and that it will never change. I have not had the easiest life but God has blessed me tremendously. I know that one day they will see that Christ has blessed my life and pulled me through the hard times.
