Hey Suzanne~ Isn't funny how when the Lord reveals something to you and you can't wait to go share it with someone, and when you do they just look at you :sleeping: or :???: or .... Or they give ya the ol' head nod..... One of my favorite words is; refreshing.... Of refreshing anapsuxeoos (NT:403). Only here in the New Testament. The word means "cooling, or reviving with fresh air." Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; WOW~I know that refreshing.... :inlove: OA~I went through the same battle you are now encountering. Small Church and All related. They had all their set programs... Womens ministry, youth ministry, Royal Rangers, etc.... As for the Prison/jail... they had no one. Never had a program, no one there to pick it up either... untill the Lord sent me... It's been over three (3) years.... But I knew the Lord wanted me there. That's how I prayed, You sent me here, I'm hanging on to YOU! The Lord had to see if I was gonna stick it out. Now I have been given a staff position as "Out-reach Prison Minister". The Lord knows there is a need. He will raise someone up to fill it if they are willing to be used of the Lord. I never dreamed the Lord was going to do this in the Church I attend. It didn't surprise GOD! Now I'm a ginny pig of the program... The Lord will send others as needed! Praise the Lord!!! Just something to think about... In Christ, Karen :inlove:

On the BIG Church scale, I believe there is fixin to be "shaken going on" and a true call to repentence. Too much compromise. The Lord will recieve a "glorious Church, without spot or wrinkle..... Individualy, like the scriptures George noted, we are corrected and I have come under that correction many times in my Spirit led life.. I believe failure to recieve correction is dangerous and can lead to quenching the spiriit and a falling away. (or becoming very legalistic :biggrin: ) I know without the correction I could not make it.... I'm to prone to "getting comfortable"... He "shakes" me when I get there... :inlove: What exciting times we live in...! Society is always a representation of what is going on in the spiritual realm. Everytime Israel fell into heavy "other god" worship they were sent out to captivity... If sin and corruption abound don't that mean that our Lord is allowing it to bring about these last days? I think so... The days of Noah were physical and spiritual manifestations of evil.... Sons of God, corrupt secret knowledge, anything to invoke power which the fallen angels are always more than happy to ablige..... Nimrod did it later.. It has cropped up ever so often... this generation will finish it. Blessings...

:inlove: Very well worded. I think the Church has been so scared to preach on demons (bondage) in the sense that even Christians can be oppressed and bound by bondages. Of course Christians cannot be "Possessed" but they sure can be defeated. The word "convert" means that! Come as you are, but be ready to change! It is not an option...... New converts flounder in the struggle to overcome the enemy and without the whole Gospel they wont make it. It takes a decision to be there every time the door opens, set under anointed preaching, and listening when the Holy Spirit directs a change needs to be made. I see it going on across the nation and no one wants to acknowledge it... Ask any Dr. in the E.R. what kind of patients are coming in... they are people TORMENTED by demons... The point being here is NOT what we FEEL is right... That is not an option. It is all about where you are in your walk in being sanctified unto the Lord, pleasing HIM not I. When you are called to do this you will either 1.) listen and obey. 2.) OR do like Israel did, what is right in their own eyes. Quenching the spirit will lead to being into bondage again to the world. You will become stagnant and unproductive in the Kingdom of God. Basically the spirit will quit trying to get you to "regenerate" your mind. I am refering to where I am standing in my walk with the Lord. When He requires us to be sanctified and holy unto Him and tells us "NO" about certain things, hey I listen. Anyone who chooses to be lead of the Lord into this walk WILL hear His voice say the same to them IF they listen to His Voice. This is not an option, it is a commandment, Deut 18:10-14. His word says He never changes. Same yesterday, today and forever... John 14:15-22 15If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. 18I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. 19Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. 20At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. 21He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him ., and will manifest myself to him..... This will be where you hear from Him.... I wouldn't change that fellowship I have with the Lord for any PAGAN ritual that I might PRESUME my opinion is more important than "thus saith the Lord". Agreed~Since my conversion I have sought the answers to the spiritual battle I went through. Through this journey I have came across the "traps" of celebating or worshipping other gods all through the OT. Are we more apt to just say "it seemed okay in my own eyes"? Isn't that elevating our decision making abilities ABOVE what "Thus saith the Lord"? Do we really think the Lord is any less serious about this than He was in the OT? I think not! If any thing because we have His written Word we will be held more accountable than the secular world. Where knowledge is given, it is also required to excercise it. I agree CD, the gates of hell have come up agaist the Church and actually proclaim to have founded themselves on the Rock, Peter. Yes, We have already had the "falling away". Biscuit~I'm researching this topic. I know the demonic realm brings fear. Whatever door is open he will use. You have to rebuke him. You have the capacity as a child of God. She is under attrack. Don't feed the fear and do not be moved from the knowledge of "greater is HE that is in you (a believer) than he (demonic forces) that is in the world. It is true above all that you SEE or HEAR. !on those! .....my question being...All those under the altar have been martryd though out history of the Church, so WHY would they be crying for vengence on folks living in that PRESENT time? Wouldn't it be more logical that the vengence they are asking for is against satan and his principalities and powers, demons and all that he has used to afflect mankind, God's creation??? Biscuit~I believe they HAVE to want to be delivered... From experience, mine (demons) left when I recieve Jesus as my LORD. Prior I had believed and even confessed to a degree, but when it came from my heart the demonic had to leave. Holy Spirit came in.... Other people I have met wanted to be set free, but not make Jesus LORD. God knows the difference, He looks at the heart. Read my testimony on this thread... "Warfare going on my testimony"
