Everyone who loves Christ more than life who has crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Those who have asked the Lord for His Spirit and didn't give up and start following man before they received the Lords Spirit. Everyone who worships the treasure Who Is sitting on the throne of heaven. Fore where your treasure is there your heart will be also. Denise

The answer is in these scriptures. Joh 3 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Isa 30 12 Therefore thus says the Holy One of Israel: "Because you despise this word, And trust in oppression and perversity, And rely on them, 13 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you Like a breach ready to fall, A bulge in a high wall, Whose breaking comes suddenly, in an instant. 14 And He shall break it like the breaking of the potter's vessel, Which is broken in pieces; He shall not spare. So there shall not be found among its fragments A shard to take fire from the hearth, Or to take water from the cistern." 15 For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: "In returning and rest you shall be saved; In quietness and confidence shall be your strength." But you would not, 16 And you said, "No, for we will flee on horses"-- Therefore you shall flee! And, "We will ride on swift horses"-- Therefore those who pursue you shall be swift! 17 One thousand shall flee at the threat of one, At the threat of five you shall flee, Till you are left as a pole on top of a mountain And as a banner on a hill. Christ is no longer in the grave. His body resurrected back to life and then ascended into heaven. I'll bet your body doesn't resurrect back to life until He returns. I don't think the gospel of Zeus applies to Christians so you'll have to sleep in the dust for a while. Revelation 6 9 When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. 10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, "How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?" 11 Then a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed. How many times has the Lord spoken through messengers since the last book of the bible was written and no one listened? This is because man mocking saying "the Spirit of God"" the Spirit of God" when it is in fact the spirit of man and confusion (Babylon). The fact remains that scripture does not save you, nor can it. If you don't have the real Spirit of God you don't even know what the scriptures say or what the word of God is. You can read it and study it but that just makes you a reader and studier of the scriptures it doesn't give you the spirit of God. And if you don’t have the Spirit of God and Christ, You are not saved. If you missed the part in the scriptures where it tells you what to do and how to find Christ and God I assure you it is there and it does not produce imaginary results. Joh 5 39 You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. John 14 23 Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. Ro 8 9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. Lu 11 13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!" Go ahead ask the King for His riches. Denise

“Ruah” is the Hebrew word for breath or spirit, or it can mean the Holy Spirit. "Brit" is the Hebrew word that means covenant. Together they mean “Holy Spirit covenant”. If I had not believed a man that once told me "God will give you His Spirit if you ask him" I would still be simpleminded and illiterate. Denise

Lewis is wrong. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; No man comes to the Father but by me." John 14:6 Amen Only those who have the Spirit of Christ and God are saved. o 8 9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. Denise

Yes. Here is the only lesson of scripture you need to know. Lu 11 13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!" Mt 7 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! Here is what follows once the Lord gives you "His Spirit". Joh 15 26 "But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.(Christ) Joh 14 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. Joh 16 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. Denise Denise, it sounds like you are saying that the Holy Spirit will tell you more than what is in the Bible. Am I understanding you? Peace, Fiosh If there is more truth than what is written in the bible then the answer is yes. Joh 16 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth. Co 2 10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. Denise

If Joel were asking this question. Then my answer would be worth something. But to everyone I would say that "the teachings of Christ are sufficient and everyone should seek Christ and His righteousness. Not any man or woman." Denise

It's really true. The Lord is in charge of the whales and everything else. Jonah was deceived and thought He could run from God. The Lord doesn't use false stories to bring about good. His power and glory are real. Ro 3 7 For if the truth of God has increased through my lie to His glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner? Denise

A young woman in old testament times was always a virgin. Only a wife or widow was not a virgin. The meaning of things today has degenerated to include sin. It was not so in that day. A promiscuous woman in that day would not have lived long being out of the closet. She would have been stoned or hung at the gate of the city. Then you must realize that it was Gods word that told of the young woman who would give birth so indeed He was speaking of a virgin. I told you where you can find the answers to all of your questions. Ask the Lord for His Spirit. Denise

James 4 7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. Isa 22 12 And in that day the Lord God of hosts Called for weeping and for mourning, For baldness and for girding with sackcloth. Denise

Now you sound like a mormom, they say read the book of mormom and seek god, if you get a burning feeling then you know god is telling you to follow him. I want answers to these tough objections, why can christains duck the tough stuff, but if its other religions stealing material from the NT, ex:mormons, Islam, Witness then its about finding the facts and what the word says, not how you feel. I gave you the meaning of the two most important excerpts out of all translations of the manuscripts that make up the scriptures. They tell you where God is and How to find Him. God created every man, woman and child. He has said that everyone should search for Him, find Him and follow Him. Being found wanting answers to question that will not lead you any closer to The truth is a further exercize in futility. The Spirit of God is the first and final truth. He has said that He will give His Spirit to those who ask. Lu 11 13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!" Lu 11 9 "So I say to you, keep asking, and it will be given to you. Keep searching, and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you. Denise

Mt 12 31 "Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Mt 18 22 Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven. Lu 17 4 And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, 'I repent,' you shall forgive him." Why would our Lord teach such a thing? Because He taught what our father in heaven does. Some will never get it and will die in their sin. So while there is still life in you Repent fore the Kingdom of heaven is at hand. Ask the Lord to forgive you and strengthen you against sin and its temptation. Ask Him for His Spirit. Then when you have received the good gift from heaven all of the desires for this world will leave you and you will learn of the true riches that await you. Denise

So why not search for God instead of all of this trying to understand the flesh. Ask God for His Spirit. Keep asking and don't stop until you receive what you ask for. Then you will understand everything. Denise

There are Spiritual facts that need no context. They stand alone and will consume the flesh of the nonbeliever. Denise Then why don't you start teaching them? Such is the responce of the natural man. 1Co 2 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. James 3 13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. Denise Doesn't explain why you have yet to teach a concept with scripture behind it. The scriptures were translated sufficient to be understood. If you haven't picked up the spiritual meanings of the teachings of Christ by being a scholar of the languages then how in the world am I going to restructure that language to get you to understand? The Spirit of God doesn't come and teach you by the cleverly devised words of man or woman. The Spirit of God comes and teaches you if you ask Him for it. Joh 6 63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. Lu 11 13 how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!" Denise

Well at least you recognized you misused them. Thank God you realize that was talking about people selling for profit in the church and how that's irrelavent to the topic at hand as we are talking about willingly giving. willingly giving? Then I doubt that these scriptures will mean anything to you on that subject. De 32 9 For the Lord's portion is His people; Mt 22 21 He said to them, "Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." Denise

Here is some more missuse of scripture for you. 15 When He had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers' money and overturned the tables. 16 And He said to those who sold doves, "Take these things away! Do not make My Father's house a house of merchandise!" 17 Then His disciples remembered that it was written, "Zeal for Your house has eaten Me up

Here are a few. Ge 6 3 And the Lord said, "My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; 1Pe 1 24 because "All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flower falls away, Joh 6 63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. 1Jo 3 6 Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. Joh 14: 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. Joh 15: 26 "But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. Joh 16 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 1Jo 4 17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. Ro 6 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Ro 8 10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you James 3 11Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening? 12Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh. 13Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. 14But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. 15This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. 16For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. 17But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. 1Co 2 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Joh 3 13 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven Ro 8 9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. Lu 11 13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!" Denise

If the thorn was actually a physical infirmity. Then it was inflicted by a person who was a messenger of the adversary of God (satan). It could have been inflicted in the stoning. Paul prayed to be healed many times and God said "No". Otherwise it is a Spiritual likeness about those who were against God and Paul that tormented Paul in the flesh. Denise
-
Yes, the Greek does indicate a physical affliction. And yes, it has been mentioned, that it was probably a physical problem... and most likely a visible physical problem, seeing as how some that Paul wrote to did not reject him on account of it. Nevertheless, because of Paul's eloquence in referring to his affliction as being from the devil, there are now, and always will be those who try to make his thorn in the flesh spiritual. How about this in its simplicity.... Paul's physical affliction was most likely a painful, permanent disability as a result of having been beaten and stoned and left for dead ... who did this to him? Well... the enemies of God ... men who wanted to stop Paul from advancing the gospel message ... so whether they knew it or not, they were doing Satan's work. (But Paul did know who was behind it). THe problem is that it wasn't people. It was a messenger of Satan that placed a physical sickness on Paul, most likely in the eyes. It isn't that hard to read. The problem is that, God wounds and God heals, So who was that messenger of the "adversary of God? God? How can God be the messenger of the adversary of God? Even in the book of Job Satan told God "Streatch forth your hand". De 32 39 'Now see that I, even I, am He, And there is no God besides Me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; Nor is there any who can deliver from My hand. Denise

Amen Add those who were constanly seeking to kill him and I think you have it. Denise
