well, here is the change so many voted for. O'bama's entrance into politics back in Chicago was after all through the Saul Alinsky school of community organizing. When Saul Alinsky used the term "change" it was linked to a redistribution of wealth. I agree, o'bama knows what he believes but he also knows that the majority of Americans do not agree with him across the board. his election by the desperate and misled will be a one term presidency. I pray that the conservatives can retake the congress in 2010 and thereby hopefully limit the damage he can do to this country before we can turn him out. I have not been very pleased by the Republicans as a second party but we do not at this time have a viable third party, although it would be good if we did.

when you give a speech as the leader of a country if seems having a knowledge of how what you say will be received and interpreted by those hearing what you say would be wise. you can look at it as to what you think it means but if you read the article you would have seen where the point was made as to how the quote from the koran was interpreted according to how they see things in the muslim world not here in ours. no one is claiming o'bama is telling the islamist's to participate in the jihad against us, but he should not be quoting what he does not understand, at the least showing his ignorance at the most admitting he was lying when he claimed to be a Christian during his campaign. go check out Joel Rosenberg's site and see what he has to say about how o'bama is being received in the muslim world, or is he a member of a conspiracy network also? there is a lot of good information out there if you look at the information and not be prejudiced against what is said because you don't like the packaging. I have come across information from sources that I would not have considered in the past, but when reviewed and placed alongside Biblical prophecy or Christianity it made sense. Truth, Justice and Tolerance upside down Our President just spoke in Cairo and he said he wanted to speak truth but the speech was a lie from start to finish. He tried to portray Islam as a tolerant religion. Try ask the families of the million and half Armenian Christians butchered by the Turks in the name of Allah, or the Hindus butchered in the tens of millions in India during the middle ages or try telling the 850,000 Jews who fled Arab countries between 1948 and 1973, or what about the millions of Christians and Black Muslims (not real Muslims according to the Arabs) butchered by the Arab Muslims in Darfur Sudan; just a few of the tolerant moments of Islam. Maybe we could examine the persecution of Copts, Maronites and other Middle Eastern Christians over the last several centuries including the current times. I personally have spoken to dozens of families about how their wives, daughters, aunts and nieces have been subjected to unspeakable rapes, kidnapping and imprisonment with no course for redress. John Adams the second president may have signed a peace treaty with Tripoli (morocco) Pirates but did not compliment Islam, the President Obama took those words out of context and then on top omitted the castigation and condemnation of Islam by John Adams' son; John Quincy Adam's, the sixth president, who said quote "The essence of his doctrine (Islam) was violence, lust: to exalt brutal over the spiritual part of human nature." In fact if Israel does do the President's bidding, and withdraws from Judea and Samaria can we expect peace or another Gaza blueprint? You do not have to be a committed right winger or Zionist ideologue, but use ones common sense to be able to understand that the most likely outcome would be another Gaza situation, but this time it will be even worse, because now you have every person in Israel that can be targeted by Hamas Rockets. Yes Hamas rockets, because every person who understands the security situation knows that if Israel hands control over Judea and Samaria to Abbas of the PLO, then Hamas will immediately overthrow him and you will have the same situation as Gaza. Abbas depends on Israel's security forces for him to maintain power. The whole peace process with Abbas is a complete sham. If the American administration truly understood the reality then it needs to be racist towards Hamas instead of the Jews, i.e. destroy the terrorists with uncompromising force then you may not get peace but you will have neutralized the enemy and disemboweled their ability from making war which is much better than the current status quo. NASA & THE BIBLE Thought this was pretty amazing and interesting! For all the scientists out there, and for all the students who have a hard time convincing these people regarding the truth of the Bible, here's something that shows God's awesome creation, and that He is still in control. Did you know that the space program is busy proving that what has been called 'myth' in the Bible is true? Mr. Harold Hill, President of the Curtis Engine Company in Baltimore, Maryland, and a consultant in the space program, relates the following development. 'I think one of the most amazing things that God has done for us today happened recently to our astronauts and space scientists at Green Belt, Maryland They were checking out where the positions of the sun, moon, and planets would be 100 years and 1,000 years from now. We have to know this so we won't send up a satellite and have it bump into something later on in its orbits. We have to lay out the orbits in terms of the life of the satellite and where the planets will be so the whole thing will not bog down. They ran the computer measurement back and forth over the centuries, and it came to a halt. The computer stopped and put up a red signal, which meant that there was something wrong with either the information fed into it or with the results as compared to the standards. They called in the service department to check it out, and they said, 'What's wrong?' Well, they found there is a day missing in space in elapsed time. These little words in the Bible are important, but they were still in trouble because if you cannot account for 40 minutes, you'll still be in trouble 1000 years from now. Forty minutes had to be found because it can be multiplied many times over in orbits. As the Chris tian employee thought about it, he remembered somewhere in the Bible where it said the sun went BACKWARDS. The scientists told him he was out of his mind, but they got out the Book and read these words in 2 Kings that told of the following story: Hezekiah, on his death bed, was visited by the prophet Isaiah who told him that he was not going to die. Hezekiah asked for a sign as proof. Isaiah said 'Do you want the sun to go ahead 10 degrees?' Hezekiah said, 'It is nothing for the sun to go ahead 10 degrees, but let the shadow return backward 10 degrees.' Isaiah spoke to the Lord, and the Lord brought the shadow ten degrees BACKWARD! Ten degrees is exactly 40 minutes!' Twenty-three hours and 20 minutes in Joshua, plus 40 minutes in Second Kings make the missing day in the universe! Isn't it amazing? The Old Man What a fantastic Story As I came out of the supermarket that sunny day, pushing my cart of groceries towards my car, I saw an old man with the hood of his car up and a lady sitting inside the car, with the door open. The old man was looking at the engine. I put my groceries away in my car and continued to watch the old gentleman from about twenty five feet away. I saw a young man in his early twenties with a grocery bag in his arm, walking towards the old man.. The old gentleman saw him coming too and took a few steps towards him. I saw the old gentleman point to his open hood and say something. The young man put his grocery bag into what looked like a brand new Cadillac Escalade and then turn back to the old man and I heard him yell at the old gentleman saying, 'You shouldn't even be allowed to drive a car at your age.' And then with a wave of his hand, he got in his car and peeled rubber out of the parking lot. I saw the old gentleman pull out his handkerchief and mop his brow as he went back to his car and again looked at the engine. He then went to his wife and spoke with her and appeared to tell her it would be okay. I had seen enough and I approached the old man. He saw me coming and stood straight and as I got near him I said, 'Looks like you're having a problem.' He smiled sheepishly and quietly nodded his h ead.. I looked under the hood myself and knew that whatever the problem was, it was beyond me. Looking around I saw a gas station up the road and told the old man that I would be right back. I drove to the station and went inside and saw three attendants working on cars. I approached one of them and related the problem the old man had with his car and offered to pay them if they could follow me back down and help him. The old man had pushed the heavy car under the shade of a tree and appeared to be comforting his wife. When he saw us he straightened up and thanked me for my help. As the mechanics diagnosed the problem (overheated engine) I spoke with the old gentleman. When I shook hands with him earlier he had noticed my Marine Corps ring and had commented about it, telling me that he had been a Marine too. I nodded and asked the usual question, 'What outfit did you serve with?' He had mentioned that he served with the first Marine Division at Tarawa, Saipan, Iwo Jima and Guadalcanal . He had hit all the big ones and retired from the Corps after the war was over. As we talked we heard the car engine come on and saw the mechanics lower the hood. They came over to us as the old man reached for his wallet, but was stopped by me and I told him I would just put the bill on my AAA card. He still reached for the wallet and handed me a card that I assumed had his name and address on it and I stuck it in my pocket. We all shook hands all around again and I said my goodbye's to his wife. I then told the two mechanics that I would follow them back up to the station. Once at the station I told them that they had interrupted their own jobs to come along with me and help the old man. I said I wanted to pay for the help, but they refused to charge me. One of them pulled out a card from his pocket looking exactly like the card the old man had given to me. Both of the men told me then, that they were Marine Corps Reserves. Once again we shook hands all around and as I was leaving, one of them told me I should look at the card the old man had given to me. I said I would and drove off. For some reason I had gone about two blocks when I pulled over and took the card out of my pocket and looked at it for a long, long time. The name of the old gentleman was on the card in golden leaf and under his name........ Congressional Medal of Honor Society.' I sat there motionless looking at the card and reading it over and over. I looked up from the card and smiled to no one but myself and marveled that on this day, four Marines had all come together, because one of us needed help. He was an old man all right, but it felt good to have stood next to greatness and courage and an honor to have been in his presence. There was a certain Professor of religion named Dr. Christianson, a studious man who taught at a small college in the western United States. Dr. Christianson taught the required survey course in Christianity at this particular institution. Every student was required to take this course his freshman year, regardless of his or her major. Although Dr. Christianson tried hard to communicate the essence of the gospel in his class, he found that most of his students looked upon the course as nothing but required drudgery. Despite his best efforts, most students refused to take Christianity seriously. This year, Dr. Christianson had a special student named Steve. Steve was only a freshman, but was studying with the intent of going on to seminary for the ministry. Steve was popular, he was well liked, and he was an imposing physical specimen. He was now the starting center on the school football team, and was the best student in the professor

I reveived this in an e-mail today and I wanted to pass it on. Guess our national leaders didn't expect this, hmm? On Thursday, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton , Colorado , was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee's subcommittee. What he said to our national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful. They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert! These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness. The following is a portion of the transcript: "Since the dawn of creation there has been both good & evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the20seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers. "The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain's heart. "In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA - because I don't believe that they are responsible for my daughter's death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel's murder I would be their strongest opponent. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best. This was written way before I knew I would be speaking here today: Your laws ignore our deepest needs, Your words are empty air. You've stripped away our heritage, You've outlawed simple prayer Now gunshots fill our classrooms, And precious children die. You seek for answers everywhere, And ask the question "Why?" You regulate restrictive laws, Through legislative creed. And yet you fail to understand, That God is what we need! "Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc. Spiritual presences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation's history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact. What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine's tragedy occurs -- politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties. We do not need more restrictive laws. Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts. "As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person in America , and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him. To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA -- I give to you a sincere challenge. Dare to examine your own heart before casting the first stone! My daughter's death will not be in vain! The young people of this country will not allow that to happen!"

I am in agreement with loving them and allowing them into your home as long as they are showing you the respect you described in your original post. If it becomes a problem in the future you can always rescind your invitation of them based on an actual event. until then you are a witness for the Lord.

545 PEOPLE By Charlie Reese Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them. Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits? Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes? You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does. You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does. You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does. You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does. You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does. One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country. I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank. I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes. Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party. What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it. The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to. It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist. If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair. If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red .. If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ , it's because they want them in IRAQ If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way. There are no insoluble government problems. Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do. Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible. They, and they alone, have the power. They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses. Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees. We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess! the first 1/2 may seem boring to some. if you like history I think you will enjoy it. the last half is something that everyone should see. actually the shi'a hate the sunni passionately and historically and I feel fairly certain that when the "common enemy" is gone that will continue, even as it goes on today. to add to this mix the wahabi (sp?) sect of Islam of which is the vast majority of Saudi Arabia is the most virulent form of islam and they hate all other factions of their faith and they all hate the dervish. while the list goes on and on. those being encouraged by the signs written in English to "become Muslim" were most likely the members of the military such as yourself or possibly some private contractors. it is not necessary to post a sign in a foreign language encouraging others to "become Muslim" in a country where it is illegal to be otherwise and any conversions to Christianity draws death or prison either at the hands of family or the govt. And I have not shot, stabbed or blown up any methodists for at least a month now.

Man...You are so right!!! Wouldn't getting up and moving as soon as someone sits down be considered rude? I would think that is the epitome of rude. Doesn't the Bible tell us that love is not rude? How is this showing Christian love? Although, I do agree that sitting in the middle of others would be a good solution. For a while, I was purposely coming in late to church to avoid him, but I really don't like doing that!!!! I HIGHLY recommend that you stop worrying about being rude. this man appears to becoming dangerous. you have been given some really good solid advice here in this thread but you keep falling back on worrying about being rude. obsessive behavior is not love. it is not of God. it is a mental and/or emotional disturbance and it must be dealt with. he must be dealt with from a position of strength and authority but he does not see you that way and he must be dealt with immediately. let the pastor decide what is the best way to deal with this man. Ushers in most churches also serve as security, once you go to your pastor they will keep an eye on him and if necessary outside legal forces can be brought in. his possible embarrassment is less important than your personal safety and your freedom to live unimpeded by him. If you have not already noticed he has severely interfered with you ability to worship and seek God and you are no longer experiencing any peace of God. what he is doing is neither of God nor Christian nor brotherly love. he is using your faith and the scriptures to manipulate you. he Must be dealt with now. before he gets worse and he will get worse if you continue to hesitate. Stop letting this man make you feel guilty. he will not step back, he only adjusts his strategy. it will continue with your trying to reason with him and his acting innocent and hurt and giving you the puppy dog act, and your feeling guilty, like it is your fault, and your trying to smooth his feelings. then it will start all over again. he will continue trying to just keep his foot in the door while believing that "eventually you will fall for him once you get to know him". He already has you wanting to quit your church to get away from him yet you worry about his choosing to not attend bible studies and you feel guilty for his actions. he is already manipulating you and you are reacting pretty much the way he wants. he thinks he is still in the game. I am pretty certain you are not his first victim and most likely you won't be his last. If you were to stop going to church to avoid this man, it sounds as though he knows where you live anyway so the pursuit would continue and possibly then escalate. Addressing the 'Mess We Inherited' Slogan From GOPUSA-THE LOFT Posted by Bobby Eberle April 3, 2009 Working late yesterday, the House and the Senate passed budgets which more or less follow Obama's plan. We are now on the verge of seeing the largest budget in the history of the country signed into law. All that's needed is for the House and Senate to iron out the differences and for Obama to sign the bill into law. With passage, America will move one step closer to socialism, with taxes going up and freedoms going down. And what do we hear from the Democrats? The same tired line that they are doing this to fix the "mess they inherited" over the "past eight years." It's a line that plays well in the media and resonates with the American public. But, as usual, the phrase is not only misleading, it's just plain wrong. First, a little perspective. For most of the Bush presidency, the country experienced economic growth. In the first quarter of 2002, the economy grew at 2.74 percent. In the third quarter of 2003, the growth stood at 7.49 percent. The first quarter of 2006 saw growth at 4.82 percent. Then, at the end of 2007, we saw the effects of the housing mess starting to take hold. The fourth quarter of 2007 featured "growth" of -0.17 percent. There was a rebound in the next two quarters, and then everything went south. The last two quarters of 2008 had negative growth (recession) of -0.51 and -6.34 percent, respectively. For real economic analysis of what happened, I recommend The Heritage Foundation and other similar web sites. However, from a logical perspective, I'd like to pass along a few Friday tidbits for thought. First, Obama and the Democrats love to blame the economic collapse on Wall Street and those evil "derivative" traders. When someone is out of a job, it's easy to point the finger at "the rich guy," and the Democrats do this with precision. What Obama doesn't tell the American public is that trading on Wall Street is something that goes on everyday. The problem isn't that some people were trading... the problem is what was being traded. With lending institutions being forced by the government to make bad loans, it was only a matter of time before the trading of these "assets" would lead to problems. Is this a problem, Obama inherited? Yes. But it was a problem he inherited from the Democrats going back to the Clinton administration. Their push to put people into houses they couldn't afford is a major component of the mess we're in today. Then, there are the "Bush" budgets. Yes, the budgets were too big. No doubt about it. The spending, spending, spending, and more spending are four reasons why Americans turned away from the Republican Party. They expected fiscal discipline and, in return, got more spending and more government programs. As FOXNews.com reports, following the passage of the budget, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) said, "It's going to take a lot of work to clean up the mess we inherited, and passing this budget is a critical step in the right direction." First of all, there is the key piece of information that liberals love to forget, and that is that Democrats controlled the House and Senate for the last two of those "terrible eight years." Did they exercise fiscal discipline with their budgets? No. Second, and more to the point, during the first six years of the Bush presidency, did they put forward budgets that spent less? No. There was always debate over any Bush budget, and in that debate, the Democrats always wanted to spend more. Had Bush relented and passed Democrat budgets instead of Republican ones, the "mess" that the current Democrats say they "inherited" would be even worse. Now, Obama basically has the budget he wanted. We will soon see plans for massive health care spending, environmental taxing, and more and more. The deficits will reach new heights and the debt will be massive. The Democrats will say that it is necessary to "fix the mess we inherited," but in reality, they are spending, spending, spending, and taxing, taxing, taxing in order to advance a socialist agenda that will cost even more in the upcoming years. Perhaps in 2010 or 2012 or 2016, Republicans can run on the message that we need to "fix the mess we inherited." But will it be fixable by then? I certainly hope so.

I have never heard it called "successful Theology" either. I usually refer to it as "name it, claim it", but that is not the normally used and recognized title. The movement that I think you are referring to is "Word-Faith", also called Positive Confession, Health and Wealth Gospel, Faith Formula. One of the ways to know if you are in a Word Faith Church is by their doctrine. Word-Faith teachers claim that God operates by spiritual law and is Obliged to Obey the faith-filled commands and desires of believers. He not only reveals prosperity teaching supernaturally to the Word-Faith teachers, but personally and verbally confirms their unique interpretations of Scripture. (Copeland, Laws of Prosperity, pp 60-62 They say the Abrahamic Covenant is the basis for commanding God to do his part in the covenant. Robert Tilton says, We make our own promises to do our part, then we can tell God, on the authority of His word, what we would like him to do. they also teach, that not only is God a big man, but man is a little god. E. W. Kenyon is generally recognized as the founding father of the modern Word-Faith Movement. Kenneth Hagin is called by some the "grand-daddy of the faith teachers. some other authors and teachers of this doctrine include Kenyon, Kenneth Copeland, Capps, Fredrick K. Pray about this specific church and as always compare all things to Scripture. I clicked on the link provided in the original post and it does appear to be a "Church of God", so it is definitely Charismatic or Pentecostal as you would call it. I never knew of any difference between the two either. My grandparents were Church of God when I was small so I went with them a few time and my wife and I attended a Church of God here in Tennessee for a year or less and then left for a Calvary Chapel.
