This is a good topic About Christian friends, it's a two way street ! But you can't alway's have your cake and eat it . If i was a minister i would love to preach on this topic. I see too often, and heard also, along been and now in this sisuation. Sorry for the spelling. Maybe God is showing me something here for His Church The word talks about : Donot forsake the assemblies of the saints . Right ! Alot of believers think it has to do with Church. Where does it say "Church " ? The Church is "Christ Himself ". We are the body, the saints. God, is telling us to have "Unity ", with each other . Fellowship together. Like hang around with each other as friends ! Not just seeing friends in the building a place of worship on Sunday's ! But we need each other during the week also ! To build one another up, share burdens, pray for one another, encourage one another. Love one another . We as Christians need contact with one another . I'm not saying everyday, but go out of your way and visit or pick up the phone even if it is long distants. God, would rather see us hanging around with each other than hang around with the worldly people. Also, Jesus, sat with sinners the worldly people. And yet we are too called sinners ! As Christians we have our faults, were not perfect, only God is ! We have to be careful when we get caught up with worldly, so we don't fall into sin. Were to pray for the unsave and bring them to Christ . But back to Christian friends , remember they can hurt you too ! Sometimes they can be your worst enemies, i been their and hurt many times. And i learn to forgive & move on ! And the world can really be the worst !! I have one true friend, that is a two way relationship . Wer both go out of our ways to call on the phone & visit each other. Shes 62 & dying of cancer, she does'nt complain, her spirits are up ! Shes looking forward to going home with the LORD ! Her name is Dee. As she suffers, shes the one who's lifting me up when i'm down. God Bless her ! The greatest friend i have is Jesus Christ, my all & all !!! Then my husband ! I wish i had a friend my own age. i'm 51. But i don't . Am i gonna get down, no ! I had friends one time, they all died of cancer , and yes they were my age. that was 10 yrs. ago . Their with the LORD now in a better place. Pray to the LORD, to send friends into your life, to grow together & lift each other up for God's Glory ! And don't ever forget the assemblies of the saints ! We need each other-------for the Glory of the LORD !!! God Bless !

Sorry but i had to laugh at this ! We have a pure bred German shorthair pointer, she's 7 yrs. old. i don't know what dog that does'nt go for the kitty litter box. They all do ! And we have 1 male adult cat, and we have a 12 weeks old male kitten. Who's better i don't know. But i can say now the kitten is doing everything our dog does. i keep our litter box under our stairs, theirs a opening for the cats to get in their. yes the dog found it's way too ! Now i keep a chair next to the opening, and i keep a bottle of pepper hot, mix with water in a spray bottle. When the dog goes near she gets spray. You'll find out after 3 times, that your dog will stay away, where she does'nt belong ! It even works near the cat food !!! She won't go near cat food. Most hunting dogs are very Hyper !!! Like ours ! That's why i love cats best, easy to handle, and very calm. Our dog sleeps under covers, just like a human. She uses to sleep on the bed, not anymore. She took over our love seat as her bed ! Yes, she even has her own quilt ! That when she's cold, she wraps herself under. She also has a sensetive stomach. her stomach, went into her chest cavilty, almost killed her. The vet re-sew her stomach to the outer walls of the linning , so it won't move into her chest. She eats tiny puppy food, no more raw hides , or bones. cause she will get sick. Nothing like salty foods also. And she misses potato chips. We walk her, even though we have 2 acres , we can let her run loose, she was almost stolen. And as a puppy she has wetten the floor, and as adults, as she gets excited she pees, typical of a hunting dog. But i can say she's well behave, great with children, and a excellent watch dog ! But i can understand what your going through. been their ! Have you try dog obedience class for dogs, they even work with dogs that have been abused. Something to think about ! I'll pray for you ! Thanks Luke, for your understanding. But i still have a question. i know i have God given gifts. But how do i use them for God's Glory ! I was told once that if God gives gifts, and you don't use them, He will take away. How do i use these gifts ? They just come on, in dreams, sometimes when i'm wide awake . And ones that as in a message for the church, I know it's from God ! But i'm scared if i tell this message, people will run away. Cause they don't want to hear the truth . And it's too late now, it was for the other church we went to , and we left to go back to the Assemblies of God. This church, is on fire for the LORD !! And i have other gifts i do practice daily, praying in the spirit, tongues. and i paint and make my own arts'ncrafts. i give away free, with scriptures on it.

I'm not sure on this, but i will give you my experience that has happened many times, but not all the time ! It started in 1998. My father was on a life support in the hosp. In his will was to vote has a family to have the plug pulled on him. As a Christian i was against this, i still believe in Miracles ! Well the plug was pulled. It was a matter a time when he would died. At about 4 a.m. i heard a voice, that awoke me out of bed. I asked my husband and told him i heard my fathers voice. The answer from him was go back to bed. But that voice was my father, saying everything was okay, he's going home with the LORD. The voice called me by name. The night before, i witness to my father, he was half awake in & out of a coma. The next day, my brother called me to say dad died. I told him, i know. he died at 4 a.m. ! My brother said to me how did you know he died at 4 a.m. ? I live 4 hrs. away. When i try to explain he thought i was nuts. Other times, When we would drive and i would get a vision, and i would say to my husband lets take the old route for a change. Glad we did ! If we were to take the road we were on , we would of been dead. A tracker trailer has flip over on a exit, that we would have apporach. And i would always say Thank You God, for showing me that. Then i had dreams weeks before we were going away on a vacation. We always drop our pets at the vet to be boarded. The same dream, is that i would never see my favorite cat again. he would be replace with another cat ! ( Stolden). Sure enough that is what happen. My cat was 8 yrs. old and had a natural darken cross shade on his nose, that look like a tatoo. But wasn't. The cat we came home with, acts like my old cat but the markings on the nose are gone ! When he was 6 months old he got run over by a car. Another vet said: after he was in a body cast, he'll never beable to use his legs, their was no feelings. Both my husband & I prayed over our cat. We know God, healed him. And left a mark on his nose. The cat we have is not him, this happen 1 yr. from last sept. almost a yr. We were told that this has happen before at the same vets boarding, by someone who works their. I forgive, but i still miss my cat. And by the way this cat still goes by the same name from my other. Other times, i see things in the church, that should'nt be the way God, wants it to be. Almost like what George posted on the devotional emails a few days ago. Like Revial. To many pray for revial. To be open for revial one must be open to change, from their hearts. And be open to the gifts of God. And the cold church, etc. i see this so many times within the church ! Christians being cold to each other, and in relationships with each other. I know it hurts God's Heart, to see this. When i tryed to explain about these gifts, 2 ministers baptist, both said i'm of the devil, you speak in tongues, that's error & of the devil. We left and went back to the Assemblies of God. I need to know are these gifts from God ? How do i use it for His work ? I don't believe in esp. I'm a born again Christian ! Help !

Luke, I like your answer ! Mainly, on what you said about : " The Armour isn't something you wear, it's the way you live ". I like i said read Eph.6 many times. I never thought about wearing it either , but i always thought as a Christian this is the way as Christians should live, as a way of life ! Were doing a study on this in our church, so when the question hit me, my mind was in re-reading, that i wasn't paying attention on what was thrown on me, as far as the question. i guess i need to pay more attention more ! And yes i do struggle living Holy and Righteous before the LORD ! I do follow Him, and yes i do have many faults, where i have fallen. But Our God, is Good, and Mericyful, and as we come to Him , He is Just, and to Forgive our sins. I do get distracted alot, from the world around me, and struggle with unsave people who are led by evil, that don't even see it ! So, that's why i ask on how do you use the armour against evil ! Because even the devil knows the scriptures . The devil, will use people who are open to him, to tormanment Christians, only those don't see that the Battle has already been won ! There's alot more that i can go into, but i be getting way off now. So, i'll stick with the Armour. But again , Thanks for your answers !

The full armour of God is indeed our assurance of salvation and God's Truth and Word! To be righteous is attainable by us, it is not something only reserved for God, because as you look through the Word you will see mention of holy and righteous people before the Lord. To be righteous is to be acting in an upright, moral way; virtuous: a righteous and godly person. (according to the dictionary) If you, and indeed all of us, live according to God's commandments and law following His Word thn we could and should be living righteously before God in all we do. I pray most mornings that God will help me be righteous in His sight and help me to be clean and pure in my living and thinking so that I can stad before Him in peace and be a good example to those around me. I strive for righteousness in my life, I read the Word daily and study it also so that my knowledge and memory will be full of it and also so that it resides in my heart. I know my salvation is in the Lord Jesus and truely believe that is assured, I speak truth whenever I can and really try hard not to lie and keep God Truth within me, and to also speak of Jesus whenever the opportunity comes up. And above all I have faith in my God, my shield is always with me so no matter what the enemy throws I have my faith to protect me and the Word of God to fight with, because the devil can't stand the Truth! The armour isn't just something you wear, it's the way you live.

Got another one ! On Eph. 6 On the Armour of God . i have read this many times ! And i have heard of many sermons on this topic ! Some read this as a prayer daily, using all the scriptures of the full armour of God, putting this into their lives every morning. We all go through Spiritual Warfare ! i was asked in church : "Do You Wear The Armour Of God " ? Do you put on the "Full Armour " ? I said of course. But afterwards thinking i was confused . How does one wear the Armour of God ?? My salvation is in Christ, the helmet. The brest plate--- to be honest, i could'nt say i'm righteous. Only God, Is ! But i know the difference between right & wrong. I put on the waist band-- of God's truth, everywhere i go. I shod my feet, and walk & share the gospel, to the unsaved & help believers. i carry the shield, cause my faith in Christ. And i carry the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God, with me, inside of my mind, heart, soul, spirit. Now, i need to know how do you other Christians wear your Armour ? Am i doing mine right ? lastly, how do you use your "Full Armour of God", against the enemy, when he strikes you ? i pray ! Hi Everyone ! 1). I Have a question. What is the difference between : Gifts of Discerment ? And what it means ? And how do you know if you have this gift ? And how to use it ? 2). What is the Gift of Prophecy ? How do you know if you have this gift ? And how do you use this gift ? 3). What is the gift of Word of Knowledge ? What does it mean ? And how does one use this gift ? And above all how does one tell & use these gifts ?

I question this too ! And it's a very confusing topic. The Baptist believe that tongues in the Bible, are a error. They claim that the Bible came from the regional text : from the greek Bible. The Greek Bible : say's the word "Lanuages", and not the word Tongues. What it was explain to me was languages were spoken in different languages of different nationallys ( like if i spoke in Jewish, or German, and if someone can speak that language they would know what i was saying. Where as someone who did'nt speak that, they would be confused, and would'nt understand. ). I never seen a greek bible if that was the regional text that was translated for todays Christian Bible. I guess to be a Baptist minister in their schooling this is what they are taught. And taught to preach to go against it. Do i believe in tongues yes! is it for today yes ! but i'm not going to debate on it , but i found out to be very carefull in judging it. But i love to see a greek bible and see what it say's on this ! All i know their were Jews, Romans, Christians, & greeks, during the time of Christ over 2000 yrs. ago. All i know is the KJV Bible today was translated from the regional Greek. So i guess you would have to look at a greek bible, and hopefully you can translate it !

Well we all agree on something here ! Is it Blasphemy or not? I'm beginning to wonder ! Some of you wrote well if this happened in the pass, it does'nt happen today. Hold on their ! Doesn'ent the Word say God is the same yesterday, today, & forever ? Would'nt that be the same with what we read from all the books of the Bible , it is our direction, our guild, on how to live, and hear from God. So, saying something happened yesterday, over 2000 yrs; ago-----Would'nt you think that happens today ?? And tongues, the baptist, ( I'm not putting anyone down, don't take me the wrong way ), I uses to be a catholic, when God, choosed me, i asked Him to come & dwell in my heart as my LORD and Savior, i left the catholic church, after i was married, i went to a baptist church, with my husband, then we left again to go to the assemblies of God, we were both filled in the presence of God their, with gifts, tongues. My spouse friend is the local minister of the Baptist church, told my husband that tongues were of ERROR, after that my husband got us to leave the pentiscol church, rather than go to his friends church, which is VERY COLD, we went to A indenpent Baptist church,this minster said to us: that tongues are from the devil. Talk about confused ! here i am. I been reading 1 Cor. 14, you will see all about tongues.as God said( sorry about that, meaning Paul, ) it was his desire for all of us to have a desire to speak in tongues! and desire for the rest of the gifts ! So, you see i still believe, i may go to that church, but in my heart i'm not baptist or such & such : I'm a child of God ! A Christian, NOT Religion that man had a name for different denonamations religions. Man made religion not God. But back to the unforgiven sin : I do believe it can happen today !
