Hi Everyone, Just to set the record straight.....I wasn't trying to "bash" Halloween it's just really hard to deny the fact that others were arguing......that it celebrates things of the dead. It DOES do this. Just look at a lot of the costumes to wear. I don't necessarily support Kim Clement....but the New Orleans prophecy sure was correct. I don't think he is an "evil" man, though. I've spoken to him personally and he does claim that Jesus Christ is Lord. The Bible tells us to test the spirits that way. I'm sure he has made mistakes......in fact......a few pointed his mistakes out. But, we all do. I personally don't believe that one sin is greater than another to God and I think we should be careful of calling another "evil" Only God truly knows the heart. We sure can watch and wait and pray about all of these things! I just don't think Christ would be "bashing" anyone.....he always did the opposite. I would agree with that. We have to always remember GIGO! Garbage in = Garbage out. What we choose to edify the most...our flesh or our spirit? The more things or activities or music or anything else that we consistantly expose ourself to..... we begin to grow more and more tolerant of. Actually...I've done some checking....mind you, not extensive research...but some checking.. and Kim Clement has been very accurate. If you read the ENTIRE prophecy....not just take excerpts.....it really lines up. He really did talk to the president and he really did prophecy about New Orleans, a year ago. Now....I'm not saying, don't test it....yes!! Absolutely do!!! But, I don't think it's any coincidence that this next storm has to be named ALPHA because they ran out of names for the english alphabet and are turning to the greek Alphabet now. All the while there is somthing "unusual" he actually says...coming for October 31st and to watch the news, he also says, and see what God is saying to you. (He also is saying) I know this is just a man but, I do believe that knowledge in the end times is increasing and we should at least be aware and check this out. About Halloween....I know a man that says that "CHrisitans celebrating Halloween makes about as much sense as a Jewish person celebrating Hitler's birthday" He says this because Halloween....regardless of where it came from...IS by all practical terms all about ghosts, goblins, witches....even if you say "no, my kids just get candy and don't dress up as those things......it is still.....by everyone else in the "world" standards...a night for "haunted houses" and everything scary and dark and anything that is about the dead. No one can deny that....it's everywhere.......vampires: an eternal being who is damned and cannot die....drinks blood. ghosts: a belief that when people die, they roam the earth as ghosts or spirits. witches: self explanitory. All these things are in direct contridiction to everything Jesus Christ stands for: Life , Light, not darkness, when you die, you go to heaven or hell...the bible even talks about drinking blood!!!! Dearest Kitty, Rest assured that everyone who reads your post will be praying for you and your family. Also, if you have to, reapeat to yourself the TRUTH. The Truth is THE WORD OF GOD! Also remember, it NEVER returns void. God will NOT leave or forsake you. We can't always see why God allows trials and tribulations....in fact, most times.....when we are in the midst of them......it seems overwhelming. The truth is this...... God will turn ALL things for good for those who love him and are called according to his purpose. If you belong to Christ and cry out to him.....I don't care where you are.....cry out to him......he will hear you, he will answer you. HE will provide the time you need with him.......some how some way......remember, HE is perfect.......we are the ones who generally get in the way or are not intently listening. Sometimes the world around us drowns him out if we let it. Turn your eyes upon Jesus, Look full into his wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim....in the light of his glory and grace. Sing Kitty. Sing his praises. HE inhabits the praises of his people. That is also the word. Do you know, Put on the garmet of praise for the spirit of heaviness, lift up your voice to God, Praise in the spirit and with understanding, OH magnigy the Lord? That's how it goes the whole thing. If you truly desire to be with him......he already knows the desire of your heart.......he will provide your peace......focus on him....focus on the word.....repeat any verse you know by heart.....say it in your head....pray it......God has not brought you here to drop you now! Failing him or not........if we were perfect why would we need the death of Jesus on the cross? He stands in your place Kitty....he already took the nails for you.....just give it all to him. Lay it at the foot of the cross and leave it there. Before you close your eyes for the night....ask him to speak to you....ask him then...in the quietness of the night. Hi! I haven't had time to read ALL of the posts either....all though I FULLY intend to, because some that I have read are really really good! My question may have been asked or addressed but, what about tongues. I mean praying in tongues. I know there are rules in the word about where and how.....but...it seems to really help me. I know the Word is sharper than any two edged sword and that is the sword of the spirit...so it's obvious that this is the best with constant communication with the Lord. WOW! Did I ever need this!!!! I've been soooooo struggling with balance! Actually, my husband and I both. Seems like we woke up one day and asked ourselves.....when did life get so hectic? I don't remember it always being like this? It just seems to get worse.......everywhere. It's hard to know where the line needs drawn. Alot of "work for God" or for your church or a lot of small groups or meetings turn into hassle....then you balance that with regular jobs, kids, their schedules, sports schedules for kids, homework................. jeesh. I know seek first the kingdom of God........ it just seems like those areas get gray with areas of church. Does this make any sense at all? Does anyone get what I'm trying to say? Church, our relationship with Christ, fellowship........it all gets mingled together......and it gets hard to see where one starts and the other stops. Make sense? In Christ, Lorie

So, Denise...... You believe satan is many individuals. Do you believe he is one entity/spirit/individual that the bible talks about? Do you believe that there is God, his Son, Jesus and then the enemy, satan and all the angels that God cast out of heaven with him? So, if satan is many individuals.......who is the enemy of the Lord that Christ himself fights and wins against and casts him into the lake of fire? A lot of different individuals? I can see your point that many act on satan's behalf or are behaving like satan.....but satan is an individual who started it all.......it's not merely several people acting adversly to God. There are people and have been individuals who oppose God........Satan started all of this by tempting Adam and eve.......he took on the form of a serpent.............this was not many individuals who did that...but, Satan himself. Stevehut~ Personally speaking........Thunder's posts, whether his own or the posts of Herb's articles........are very helpful to me. They are also very relevent to what the original post's subject addressed. This last article posted was quite possibly the biggest clue to who or at least who's position we ought to be looking out for. We don't need to know who the AC will be but, it does give good insights to the timeline of prophecy and makes us (if we are at all paying attention and want to "see the changing of the seasons") desire to be prepared and literally LOOKING for the coming of Christ!!!!!! WE ARE TO BE AWARE OF THE SIGNS OF THE TIMES. And if ANYTHING shows the signs of our times.....it's this European leader who rising to the top has just begun and whose goal is to bring peace to the world under one unified group of leaders ultimately under one head........himself. Even going as far as outlining a seven year time period in which this could occur!!!!!!! I would say that.......IN MY OPIONION........ALL of his postings are helpful, relevant and very on target to the bible prophecy coming to pass more and more every day in these last days. Hi everyone! Even from the last time I posted......prophecy seems to be coming fulfilled at an alarming rate. Check out Rollin Thunder's Post April 8th prediction....He posts from a website that has news events of Europe that isn't getting attention from the regular news. (no big surprise there) It is VERY interesting!!! Regardless of the timing of the rapture........things seem to be picking up speed. I've seen things a little differently myself even from the last time I posted! Lookin up too!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (although I believe things are going to get a lot worse around the good ol US first!!) The Elijah List folks are "New-agers"?????? I thought new agers beliefs were primarily....like....Kabalahists, and Middle East beliefs....."we are all going to heaven", "we all have the power within us"????? I don't see that on the Elijah List website. In Christ~ Lorie

I posted something similar to this in another topic about the rapture. Thess. 4 and 5 are CLEARLY talking about the rapture. We all have different views about the actual timing of this event....pre, mid and post tribulation theories (and probably more that I don't even know about) but....they are at most....very educated and studied theories...some just speculation....and all....are different views about what the word says in different ways on a time line that is impossible to nail down when the word clearly says......know ONE knows the day or hour, not even the Angels of heaven nor the son.......only the Father. With all that said...let's look at the awesome hope of our Word of God..... Thess. 4:13 (New Living Translation) And now, brothers and sisters, I want you to know what will happen to the Christians who have died so you will not be full or sorrow like people who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus comes, God will bring back with Jesus all the Christians who have died. I can tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not rise to meet him ahead of those who are in their graves. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the call of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, all the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and remain with him forever. So comfort and encourage each other with these words. Thess 5 Talks about the time when all of this will happen......5:2~For you know quite well that the day of the Lord will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. When people are saying, " all is well; everything is peaceful and secure," then disaster will fall upon them as suddenly as a woman's birth pains begin when her child is about to be born. But, you aren't in the dark about these things, dear brothers and sisters, and you won't be surprised when the day of the Lord comes like a thief. That is through chapter 5 thru verse 4. I really agree with Cats (I think it was) that said it well when The word compares the end times with birth pains for a reason!! They come in waves...contractions. Interesting when you look at history and the accumulative "birth pains" of the earth that grow more intense as the time grows closer!! One thing is for sure.....more and more is happening everyday and everyday is a day closer. It IS exciting to discuss all of this and the possibility of it being soon.......that is a good thing!!!! Knowing the signs of the times is what we are CALLED to do! Trying to nail down the exact timing of the event is and will be unknown, until it happens. The bible clearly tells us to encourage and comfort each other with those words!!!!! (directly above!!) I personally would LOVE to be " caught up in the clouds and meet the Lord in the air" from standing on the earth to "bye bye in the clouds" AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our future....if we have the assurance and salvation of Christ Jesus...is ultimately with him....which FAR outweighs the "vapor" of a life we have here. In Christ~ Lorie

The facts that the Bible is clear about is that we who are believers will, after the dead have raised from their graves, be all caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air!!!! In Thess. 5 it goes on to say that this will all happen like a thief in the night, the twinkling of an eye. Thess5:4" But, you aren't in the dark about these things, dear brothers and sisters, and you won't be surprised when the day of the Lord comes like a thief. (5)For you are all children of the light and of the day; we don't belong to darkness and night. So be on your guard, not asleep like the others." I don't think it's possible for people to not notice millions suddenly vanished.....right before their eyes .....or a baby from a non believing mothers stomach....or an infant nursing from it's mother's breast. This will cause mass chaos....car accidents, plane crashes, millions missing from their jobs, homes, beds, hospitals.....whatever and whenever. No matter the timing.....it will be devastating to the world....a vast majority in the US. Regardless....millions everywhere. If this happens in the twinkling of an eye.....the believers will not know what hit......except maybe those who had been warned and finally realized it happened. ????? Only God the Father really knows exactly how it will all play out. But, surely....it could never go un noticed. It will be mass pandemonium!!!! Mass destruction, and depending on the actual timing.......the start of someone having the "clean up" and repair of millions of people's missing loved ones.....who could explain? Maybe the Anti-Christ? Will they "buy it" or will some see the truth? ?????????????? Everyday is a day closer!!!!!!!!!!! Wouldn't the rapture pretty much devastate America? I know that a lot of people in America profess to be Christian, and only God knows the heart of a man, or woman, but....there are the majority right here in USA. That would be a lot of people missing and some of the people left behind will realize....maybe from hearing their missing loved one talk about it, or maybe from someone who was close to excepting Christ (just some examples) then either the devastation will turn one left behind to God or to the Antichrist.(Who will be then able to overcome the once great America and begin to patch the broken world (in the world's eyes) by bringing a so called peace to the world and a so called unified world. the rapture of the church of Jesus Christ would certainly be a big enough event to cause some serious catastrophe's. Just a thought. Also.....someone on this thread wrote about it happening in the twinkling of an eye....and very unexpected.....a thief in the night.......yes! The Bible does say that but, it goes on to say that we who are Children of the light....(the christians) should not be caught unaware...it should not surprise us.....instead we should be watching and waiting and keep our lamps trimmed and burning. Pay attention to the "turning of the fig tree leaves" and the signs around us that point to the time. One thing we know for sure.........everyday is a day closer!!!! We all have different views on pre, mid, post.....so on....but.......He is coming and everything around us......"earth's birth pangs" screams, " the king is soon coming".
