Why are you watching this lesbian?
-
I have read his work, both books as a matter of fact. It is not the True Christ, as far as I can see. It is a feel-good, no-repentance, pop-psychology/pagan ritualistic heresy. Nowhere in his books does he talk about the redemptive qualities of a contrite spirit. Warren is a dangerous man and will harm many, deceiving them.

Couldn't agree more heartily. well said.

I presume you are being sarcastic? No, I loved his book, and saw no problem with it whatsoever. In Warren

I presume you are being sarcastic? No, I loved his book, and saw no problem with it whatsoever. You mean you didn't pick up on the neo-paganistic elements of his message? or the seeker-sensitive overtone? Saddleback has like a couple dozen services each sunday, last time I checked. If you want to be a goth, you go to one service. "Western style" worship? go to door 3. rock and roll? Go to door 4, etc. its on his site, just look it up. From the Saddleback statement of Faith: God has allowed evil to provide us with a choice, God can bring good even out of evil events and God promises victory over evil to those who choose him. The statement is totally confusing and rife with doctrinal assumptions. The remainder of the site presents a person-centred type of humanism/pop-psychology that denies the existence of REAL SIN and the need for REAL REPENTANCE.

a Charismatic is just a Pentacostal who can read. This is not a helpful statement. The seriousness of the question should allow you to put a gate on your flippancy. The rise of extreme charismaticism is dangerous to the church. Avoid it.

Greetings FC, These are the wolves in sheeps clothing, they have an agenda that is not from above. H. Are you talking of Schuller/Peale/Warren or the website authors? GET OUT OR DIE "If your Church has been plateaued for 6 months, it might take 6 months to get it going again. If it's been plateaued a year, it might take a year. If it's been plateaued for 20 years, you've got to set in for the duration! I'm saying some people are going to have to die or leave" (Ministry toolbox No 263 6/14/06) Rick Warren's concepts of how to be a loving shepherd. Sounds pretty scary to me. This is a very serious thing indeed. Warren's teachings need to be exposed as hatred against believers. FC

Here's a great article that can help answer your question. http://www.fundamentalbiblechurch.org/Foun...icConfusion.htm Stay firm in Christ, resist the devil.

Read this article and let me know what you think. Personally, I wonder if this is in effect what is ailing our Christian walk. http://www.pawcreek.org/articles/endtimes/...eGoldenCalf.htm The effects of Warren's/Peale's/Schuller's writings are detrimental to the true message of the Cross. Comments? discussion? FC

Hamas, Hezbollah, and Hitler
FailedChristian replied to apothanein kerdos's topic in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
Hey, Amor - I was just speaking tonight with a woman who spend the last 3 months in Israel on a prayer vigil. She shared about the spiritual warfare going on. She explained how the Lord taught her what it is like to be a Jew - to be completely hated by everyone just for being, and how a holding hug jsut meant so much. But she also shared an experience where as she spoke about loving the Jews, someone asked her about the Palestinians. It was like something dawned on her, and she said, "You're right, we need to pray for and love the Palestinians, too." One thing she began to pray was that the wicked would be consolidated and separated from the righteous - or the righteous separated out from them - that the righteous not be swept away with the wicked in judgment, whether Jew or Gentile. You have a heart for the Palestinians? Well, how about instead of trying to "one up" the evil from the Israeli side - How about sharing with us the righteous deeds of the Palestinians? How about sharing with us what the Palestinian Christians are going through being surrounded by Muslims? Why not share the good things coming out of the Muslim community? I mean, if you truly want to soften our hearts towards them, as the saying goes, it's best to attract flies with honey rather than vinegar. Instead of defending the Palestinians (And Lebanese for this matter) by attacking Israel and the Jews, how about defending the Palestinians by sharing with us those things which are positive about them? You know? The most important thing to know is that they are normal people. Anyway here's a piece here by the Lutheran Bishop of Jerusalem. I found it whilst looking for something else, perhaps that is a sign that I should post it here. The question is simply this: Are you for or against the existence of the State of Israel? If you are for, then you must be against Hezbollah and Hamas. Period. -
1st: The church you describe is not following the Word of God as far as the responsibilities of an Elder (Overseer, Bishop) goes. See 1 Tim 3. 2nd: This can affect you spiritualy in that the church by necessaity of condoning such charlatans as Elders is preaching a false Christ. Listen closely to the sermons for agendas not supported by scripture. If this Elders issue is happening, I can pretty much guarrantee that the messages from the pastor or reverend are far from scripturally based at times. What to do: Talk to your pastor about it. Pray about the meeting before you do go to him or her. Listen to understand. Then hold up what you are told to the light of scripture and see if what you are hearing is the Truth. Bless you as you seek an answer.

Couldn't agree more heartily Lawyer.. Pauline scriptures are notrious for the "cultural" problem. We no longer own slaves, yet we are assumed to have them according to Paul. According to Paul, women are not to wear makeup, jewelry, heels, stockings, mixed linens or walk without a man (can be and has been interpreted). Remember that it was for freedom that Christ has set us FREE! The law is death, but the spirit brings LIFE. Praise your LORD, Jesus the son of God.

PLEASE HELP: Is church for everyone?
FailedChristian replied to FailedChristian's topic in Apologetics
I was a Christian myself. I was suffering depression and thoughts of suicide. I no longer am. I don't know if it had anything to do with my loss of religion and God. But I am happy now, caring about my family and friends and everyone I know moe than some God. Well since you are an atheist, I'm afraid your points are quite moot to me. It is not my belief in God that is a problem. Thanks for your concern, but hold your evangelism for converts for others, thank you. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. I am telling you what made me happy. I am not being an evangelist. well, it sure sounds like it...my apologies. -
