I imagine that came from humanities ability to adapt to his surroundings. For instance, people from a sunnier climate would develope darker pigment than those from a cooler climate. An example. I have a blood disease called Thalasemia. The disease is caused by a mutation of the blood cells. You get it through heredity only. The origin of the disease is from the meditterenean sea region. One aspect of this disease is that those that have it are immune to malaria. In the area this blood mutation took place malaria killed a lot of people. There were a group of people who were able to adapt due to this blood mutation which made them immune to malaria. Greetings in Christ! You were told correctly. Jesus, who knew no sin, became sin, that we would become the righteousness of God (2 Cor. 5:21). And, since Christ became sin, or the sin-bearer, God could not look upon Him in that moment (Hab 1:13).

Actually, Jesus gave us some visible indicators that we could look for in the last days. They're found in Luke 21 and Matt 24. Also, the term "last days" has a dual meaning. Aside from the short period leading right up to Christ's return we also have the term used of the entire post-Incarnation era. So. we have technically been in the last days since the coming of Christ (Heb. 1:2; Acts 2:17; 2 Tim 3:1-7). /\ || ||

My personal opinion is that we are in the last days. Jesus gave us a snap shot of what the world would be like just before His return. Here is what He said: Mat 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? Mat 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. Mat 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. Mat 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. Mat 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. Mat 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. That sure sounds a lot like the situation today. Just today there was another 8.7 earthquake in the islands off of Asia. We cannot know the day or the hour, but Christ did say we could discern "the times." Mat 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: Mat 24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Hello, my brothers and sisters. Has anyone heard of this Recommendation 666 thing? Yesterday at Easter dinner a member of my extended [by marriage] family brought up some interesting things. The first was regarding Javier Solana as being the EU's head guy. It was interesting to learn that his name says quite a lot. Javier means "Savior," and Solana means "light-bringer," or something to that effect. Interesting, indeed. Then, there's the Recommendation 666, which is much like a House or Senate Bill or Resolution here in the States. I wouldn't actually call this thread "gossip." Gossip is saying behind someone's back what you would not say to his face. It is a secret, dirty little thing that has malicious intent. Rather, I think it good that those who listen to, or follow, Mr. Hinn's teaching would be wise to his devices. Remember, your sin will find you out. And, Mr. Hinn's certainly has. Not that we don't all sin. But, we don't all rake in millions of dollars from the Lord's people under the guise of "ministry" and then splurge it on the "lifestyles of the rich and famous." It is never unloving to identify the wolves amongst the sheep.

If you are so unsure about yourself Trinity it sounds like you need to get into the Scriptures. I'm pre-trib and I'm quite certain of it. But, I wouldn't call someone a heretic who thought otherwise. Nor would I burn them at the stake.

The Bible teaches that we are all guilty in Adam. But, the Bible also teaches that Christ was made sin for us so that we could become the righteousness of God. Problem = Sin Solution = Christ Pretty simple. Remember, we sin because we are sinners. We are not sinners because we sin. No child has the chance to live a sin-free life.

And the less-wealthy use the same public roads, signals, emergency services, public schools, etc.. etc.. So, you just made our point. According to your logic a nation would work better if all public services would be given to only those who pay the most for them. How would you like a 1000$ toll on every bridge you crossed. The only people who do not really suffer from that are the extremely rich.

I understand the frustration that comes with repeated failure and breaking the promises that we make to ourselves and to God. Let me just tell you that there is deliverance out there. God can and will deliver the one who is seeking deliverance. I do not try to minimize the stronghold of pornography addiction. I know first hand how destructive this sin is. Satan is using it to completely nullify the dynamism and witness of countless Christian men, many of them being pastors. This is such a huge topic that it is impossible to cover all of the issues. But, if I were you I would start by getting on my knees and asking God's forgiveness. Then, I would ask him to completely purge this addiction from your life. I would also begin fasting regularly. Fasting will help you to "reign in the flesh" and dedicate yourself to God. Then, I would recommend you getting a top-quality internet filter service hooked up on your computer. Here's a good one: BSafeOnline Internet Filter. It sounds like you also need some solid Christian accountability and fellowship. If you Lone Ranger your Christian walk you will continue to fall. Christians are like charcoal briquettes. When they are lumped together they burn bright and hot, but if one falls to the side alone it will begin to burn out. You need the encouragement and uplifting influence of godly brothers. Your family situation is difficult. It doesn't sound like you have much choice except to be there and endure it. All the more reason for all of the above. Each and every day wake up and spend time with God in His word and through prayer. Do not neglect this for even one day. If you wake up late and have to run out, then at least throw in a Christian poptart (Psalm or Proverb). He is the vine and you are the branch. Your strength is directly related to how well attached you are to Him. We are the body and He is the head. A headless body is dead. We must be connected to Him at all costs. He is our life. Life is in Him. Without him you can do nothing. Joh 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. Keep your mind on the things of God. Minute by minute, hour by hour think of things heavenly. Col 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. I am assuming your problem is with the computer, so take steps now to prevent another relapse. Place the computer in a high-traffic area in the house. Maybe the kitchen or living room. Do not use the computer alone. There are other online services you can sign up for where you have an "accountability partner." These services will email your internet activity to a chosen person. This serves to provide accountability in that others will be seeing what you are viewing. But, do not let this take the place of God. He sees everything and it is He that you are grieving. He alone can deliver you from this. You must come to the end of yourself and surrender yourself to God. I know this is easy to say, but you must be broken before God. Mat 23:12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. 1Pe 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Jam 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Jam 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Jam 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Jam 4:9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Jam 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. I hope this helps and maybe gives you a starting point. Do not ignore the exhortation to move the computer to a visible place. You want to make accessing it difficult, not easy. May the Lord richly bless you. Just praise Him that you are deeply convicted over this and are seeking to be set free. Soon you will be. It didn't happen to you overnight and it won't leave you overnight. It will be a slow, uphill, and gradual process as God purges the dross from your mind, heart, and life. But, you must take positive steps in this direction. You must put feet to your desire to be free.
