that's a good thing Richard, most women aren't real happy about sharing

And indeed, I feel tomorrow will be fruitful for you. How do I put or say this? <chuckle> There is more yet to learn. You are taking in the Word at a great pace right now, and if I may, I am indeed truly blessed to witness it. What I have witnessed in you has blessed me more than I have known in a long time now. With regard to communion, there is yet more to learn. I do not know if you read it, but I had shared of a time when I felt as you do now with regard to an issue. However, I had missed one key verse, a 'keystone' if you will, and as such, I was in error and made a mistake which required repentence and truly seeking forgiveness. It caused me a lot of pain. I would not see this in your life nor wish it for you. So please, do not allow this to trouble you. I also had one of those days and was "just a little teed off". It had occurred to me to write with regard to communion in a recent thread. However, that thread was not the appropriate place to write that which I felt to write. You have my word, I will write upon this topic and submit it unto you. I truly understand how you feel, for I have been there. If there is anything I can do to help, do not hesitate to ask. I have had much time to consider these things, much time to come to understanding. I have spoken with, studied with and known many Pastors. I fully understand their duties/position/responsibilities. Perhaps sometime we may speak of this. Please, do not feel harshly toward anyone, for in truth, it only hurts us when we do. Actually, I have nothing to show you <grin>. However, I will share with you. I will, to the best of my ability, lay out some Scripture for you to read and study. It is between you and the Ruakh ha-Qodesh (Holy Spirit) from there. You are truly a blessing to us all Jackie. I get what you have said about getting too involved in the feeling of being "teed" off or even outrage and it is not growing into that, please be at peace that I will not go ballistic about these things and will keep my heart and mind open only to what the Holy Spirit is teaching me. It is down the road that these things will benefit others, this I know and for now I am a student and will keep it that way.. well then, I look forward to what you have to share with me.

that was my question too.

well I didn't get any further in my study today so I'll dig into it again tomorrow. I found myself just a little teed off today after learning what I've learned and the great lack of truthful teaching in the churches I've attended regarding both the Crucifixion and the lack of true teaching in regards to the communion and its great significance. Gonna have to get over that though, I guess. Looking forward to what you have to show me next Richard. blessings

It is a commentary book on the entire bible called "the Concise Bible Commentary" by James M. Gray, D.D. the quote above is what the commentary gives as I was searching Leviticus...the rest of the post is what God made a point of enlightening to me while I was studying..isn't it amazing.. We can see the end of the Old Covanant and the beginning of the New Covanant even before Christ was crucified.. Mat 26:26

Richard, your reference to Leviticus 23:5-7 took me to this information in my Commentary book (I'm just loving this book!) which says that the slaying of the lamb and the sprinkling of the blood secured deliverance of separating the people from Egypt, eating the flesh was for strength of the journey before them. The unleavened bread has the spiritual meaning that the leaven is a type of evil or moral corruption and it's removal signifies that the redeemed nation must be a holy and separate people. In Leviticus this equates to the Israelites or chosen people. In Matthew 26:26-28 this equates to all who partake of the flesh and blood of Christ or chosen people. whew! I cannot even begin to tell you the impact this is having on me. Before I go further, let me explain that I never had experienced the impact communion signifies. Or what Jesus was really saying when He passed the wine and the bread....I have taken communion many times while in church but never understood what it REALLY means... The wine, is the sprinkled blood of the Lamb securing deliverance to us by separation of "Egypt"- the world-and that eating of the flesh of Christ would be our strength on our journey before us-enduring to the end. Christ's flesh is not only the flesh of the sacrificial lamb it is also the unleavened bread as He was without "leaven"-sin or moral corruption. going back to study more ....

I like the book of Job for the reason that God makes sure each and every player in the book understands that none know the mind or might of the Almighty. He makes sure they each understand that there are no boundries put on HIM....makes me shiver with joy!!

yep..I don't think anyone here said they did nor were any of us alluding to it. read the post again...I think you'll see that too. the point being made terter, is that I don't believe Adam and Eve knew it was a spiritual death at all....

Originally, the months did not have names. The names of the months in the Hebrew/Jewish calendar do not seem to have come about until the Babylonian captivity. They were simply, just as the days of the week: Yom Rishon: First day: Sunday Yom Sheni: Second day: Monday Etc. Aviv, or Nisan is considered to be the first month of the year. LOL, This could get complicated, I think I will leave off full explanation for now. Anyway, the first month was appointed in Exodus 12:2. It was simply called 'the first month'. It is from Exodus 13:4 in which 'Aviv/Abib' comes from. It is not truly the name of the month. It actually or more correctly means, the month of the green ear. Today is the 1st day of the twelfth month, or 1st of Adar. The first month, or month of Aviv/Nisan: The 1st will fall about the 6th of April this year. Some years it is much earlier. May you be blessed in your studies, Richard How do I get a hold of Josephus' work... I found the information you just told me in the Commentary book I was telling you about. Pretty interesting and awe inspiring to see the passover lamb and compare it to the Passover Lamb. Gives a much deeper meaning to all those years before He came, up to the day He resurrected. Gives me goosebumps.. will look at the verses in Leviticus tomorrow. Thanks for your efforts and don't be surprised to hear from me again about these matters. how do you know this and where do I get this information?

thanks for your reply Mike... I have to disagree on this point you made...I don't think it had anything to do with protecting her feelings...remember the Lord said, should you eat of it you will die. But LOOK Eve had already eaten of the fruit and she was not dead at all. So, Eve at this time basically played the role the serpent had played with her. The serpent convinced Eve she wouldn't die and she did not. Eve proved to Adam that God's word couldn't have been true for she was standing right there alive and well... I have had people argue with me about this but I truly believe that what stopped them from eating the fruit was that God said they would die. When I am told that I will die if I do something, I assume that the death would be immediate. The first death they experienced was not physical death but a spiritual death caused by sin creating separation from God. Just as Jesus said those who take part in the first resurrection will not taste the second death. Paul let's us know that those who are baptised die to our old lives and are reborn-spiritually-in Christ. So back to Adam and Eve...the first death of being separated from God through their sin would lead to second death which of course would be a physical death of body and soul to perish in eternity if not restored to God through Christ's offering and sacrifice.... sorry I got a little off topic.... Now I do believe you are right about people being concerned about how what they have been given will be received. We simply need to get over ourselves and follow in obedience to the Lord in these matters. Something that I have been given for a long time now is dreams. And I have learned that my responsibility is to simply tell the dream and leave it to people to discern it on their own. Whatever they want to take from them, if anything at all is on them. I've been obedient and it can end there...there should be no blood on my hands in this approach... again, thanks so much for your reply

your words and attitude reminds me of the guy who was quoted as having said "not even God can sink the Titanic.".........

I don't like websites, but so far most people give links and sites so I assumed. I spend most of my study time, with the Word, Strong's Dictionary and Concordance pen and paper, thus far it has been the very best way for me learn...plus I don't have a bunch of isms screaming in my face! I picked up a book today that is commentary from Gen. thru Rev. Looking through it I think it will help greatly because the author makes a point of explaining laws and traditions. See I'm not interested in the mainstream teachings of any of the Word, much of what I have been "taught" gets tossed out...God always takes me back to the place He and I began and directs me in the things He wants me to understand. Does that make sense? So tonight I will copy your earlier post and look through the scripture you added to your post and study what you have given me...I so do appreciate what you have given me so far. I have a view of the western sky as I live in the west, problem is that where I live Winter months are mostly cloud covered and we're unable to see the sky. But now I know sunset today is the beginning of a new month. How fascinating.

Not true. Our economic growth is artificial just like our rates and our home values. The world has 6 billion consumers (U.S.A. is 300 million) ready to consume and produce. We have been lent our lifestyles. It's produced by the world. Production, commodities and materials are true wealth. We don't produce much and our home based companies have gone global and don't need our nation for much. In fact they have cheaper labor, materials and taxes elsewhere. We have been used. As our economy faulters, others will replace it as a reserve and rise. We are arrogant to think the world is dependant upon us, it isn't. Without us consuming so much there will be more consumption for the rest of the world. And the banks will be happy to lend them a lifestyle. If the United States has been "used" we did it to ourselves. But personally I believe it is the other way around, we have done the using. We have borrowed, made alliances with other countries in order to have profit and gain for our country, our government has bullied and conned these other countries and their own citizens nearly to the point of economic collapse. Even if it did start out as some kind of conspiracy theory the effects of what this country has been and done is evident. Our country needs much prayer and a huge change of heart, mind and attitude.

I have worked with many Phillipina women Dave, all of them have been Christian and lovely people. God bless your union and your family.

yes but that was before Christ died on the cross and made all things clean....other races at the time of Solomon were considered gentile and unclean. Let people date and marry who they date and marry....if God is invited none should have issue.

Richard, Thank you so much for your efforts on this post and hope you weren't up all night doing it. I will go through it and study what you have provided. It certainly sheds more light on the OT laws and commandments when we see how it brought forth completion with Christ's death and resurrection. It also changes my perspective on Easter and what is taught by many regarding time line, the day of death and the things that happened between His death and His resurrection. a day began at sun-set and not sunrise? If you have links that will help to give me in this study I would appreciate them. You can post them here or PM me with them. Tell me please if you can, what month does Aviv translate to us today? Again, thank you for your time on this.... be blessed and remain in HIM.

ROFL Since you are using a saying that I use all too frequently: I hope your 'bait' is fresher than mine. I can't promise to get it out tonight as I am tired. However I shall do the best I might and you may count on it by this time tomorrow. LOL!! that's something I'll keep to myself thank you and I'll keep my eyes peeled for your post...blessings

I will agree with that statement 100%...and you found the root of the problem...ARROGANCE! It will be the ruination of the US as we know it.

Certainly. In fact, if you would like, I would gladly lay it out from the Scriptures for you to the best of my abilities. It would have occurred upon a Wednesday though. Give me a couple of hours please to put it all together, has been a while. okay...thank you and I'll be waiting with baited breath
