Forrestkc, I just wanted to say that many of us here do not accept the doomsday predictions of today's scientists for many reasons. One of them for me is reading that back in the 70's, those scientists were telling everyone that the earth was actually cooling - and they had all the data to prove it! So why are you like a pitbull with a bone when it comes to Global Warming? Do you have some insatiable need to be proven right? Do you need the ego-stroke THAT bad? If you are THAT sure of it - go off the grid, use a horse and buggy to get around in, and go build a Ted Kaczynski type cabin way back in the woods and await our fate. Then when the flood waters start rising from all the glaciers melting, and we're all dogpaddling to stay afloat, you can stand on the roof in your sackcloth and scream, "I was RIIIIGHT!" You claim to be a Christian, yet you WON'T accept how the Bible says the world will really end. Hint: It won't be from Global Warming...

Take it up with God. Read Revelation lately? All the signs point to the imminent return of Jesus for his church. What prophetic sign needs to yet occur before that happens? This world will be burned up by fire. And God will create a new earth. When was the last time you actually opened your Bible and read it? And why do you seem to resent it when believers say they are not worried because "God is in control?" In your opinion, is He or isn't He? Could anything happen to His creation somehow against His will?

Whatever happened to presumed innocent before being proved guilty? If someone commits a crime, gets a record, then perhaps they have a right to monitor them. Other than that, they need to keep their noses out of one's private life.

AKA - Game players with too much free time and not enough brains... game players as in gamers? I know many Christian gamers, and they drive me insane. Yet I would never call one brainless. By "game players" I meant that they seemed to be the type that toy with Satanism.

I don't know what the big deal is about this. Marriages and children conceived between siblings or close relatives is only a problem if it persists for generations, i.e. if a brother and sister's children grow up and marry their own brothers and sisters, then any "bad" genes in the family would be perpetuated, and this is pretty unlikely in this day and age where people don't spend generation after generation in the same town. Marriages between relatives must have occurred a lot in the past, unknowingly. Some years ago a girl I knew decided to trace her family tree as her husband had finished doing his. She found that the two families had been related by marriage in the past three times and then drifted away. She actually found to her surprise that her and her husband's great grandmothers had been sisters. And this had nothing to do with sperm donors or IVF treatment, just people not talking to each other so much. Well, as a Christian, from a Biblical perspective, God said don't do it. That's good enough for me.
