  1. Would this apply to Hitler if you were living in Nazi Germany? If I lived during that time, and I was German, I would probably have been loyal to him as the leader of the nation. Now let me ask you a question: Do you think Hitler was used by God to bring about the nation of Israel?
  2. So, how did that first case of beer taste?
  3. I'm not saying that earthly authorities are to take the place of God. But I do believe that God indeed puts all leaders in power all over the world to serve his purposes. I also believe that we are to give them the respect they deserve for being God ordained. I mean, my head will explode if Hillary gets elected President, but I will give her the respect she is entitled to as our leader.
  4. I wouldn't want to go back that far for a few reasons. I don't like the idea of living without electricity, or bathroom tissue, or pads! I want to go far enough back to a more innocent time, but not so far back that I have to bathe in a river! Now whatever is wrong with bathing in a river? If you went far enough back, it probably wouldn't be polluted -- so you would not dissolve. Might want to watch for alligators or crocodiles though! I don't want to take a bath in anything that fish pee and poop in...

  6. I Peter 2:13 "Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority." Romans 13:1 "Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves."

  9. That happens to me all the time and I'm only 20! Many times when you sleep awkwardly and your leg (or arm) is pressed against something, it puts pressure on the nerves and you get that sensation that it's "fallen asleep." I've gotten out of bed and BOOM! Right on the floor!
  10. Thank the Lord that you were allowed to live to accept the gift of salvation! Amazing testimony, Marn!
  11. While atheistic liberals are busy here and in Europe trying to bring about a Christian free WORLD.
  12. I'm speaking as a Christian here. Biblically, we are to support our leaders, as they are appointed by God, and not try to slap them in jail on trumped up "war crimes" charges.
  13. If you could go back and choose an era to live in (besides Jesus' time! ) what would it be? I would love to have lived in in the 40's and 50's. It seemed like America's golden age. The only sex you saw on the screen was a romantic kiss...the worse curse word you heard was "damn" (Gone with the Wind)...and NOBODY took their clothes off! When family was the ideal, when parents, teachers, and all authority were respected. The worse violence in school was running in the halls. (The only "school shootings" were rubber bands and spit wads). When families ate dinner together (at one table!) and you didn't even have to lock your doors at night! When Sundays wern't for hangovers, but for Church. When kids actually played outside without any video games, iPods, computers, or cell phones to distract them. When children read books, instead of staring at a glowing screen. When cartoons were actual cartoons, and not just commercials for toys. Or steeped in sexual inuendo. When children were allowed to be children, and not forced to grow up so fast. When you were still a "kid" until you got married. When brides wore white, and most could pull it off. When people actually respected and admired their President. When you had real stars like John Wayne, with not a Paris Hilton type to be found. When it actually took talent to write a song, and not just a beat laden piece of filler whose lyrics are 90% "Yo Yo Yo." *sigh*
  14. Activists in Vermont town want Bush, Cheney subject to arrest MONTPELIER, Vermont (AP) -- President Bush may soon have a new reason to avoid left-leaning Vermont: In one town, activists want him subject to arrest for war crimes. A group in Brattleboro is petitioning to put an item on a town meeting agenda in March that would make Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney subject to arrest and indictment if they visit the southeastern Vermont community. "This petition is as radical as the Declaration of Independence, and it draws on that tradition in claiming a universal jurisdiction when governments fail to do what they're supposed to do," said Kurt Daims, 54, a retired machinist leading the drive. As president, Bush has visited every state except Vermont. The town meeting, an annual exercise in which residents gather to vote on everything from fire department budgets to municipal policy, requires about 1,000 signatures to place a binding item on the agenda. The measure asks: "Shall the Selectboard instruct the Town Attorney to draft indictments against President Bush and Vice President Cheney for crimes against our Constitution, and publish said indictment for consideration by other municipalities?" The White House did not immediately respond to requests for comment Friday. The press office did not immediately respond to an e-mail. Support for the measure is far from universal, even in Vermont, where the state Senate voted earlier this year to support impeaching the president. Anti-war rallies are regular occurrences here, and "Impeach Bush" bumper stickers are common. "I would not be supportive of it," said Stephen Steidle, a member of the town's Selectboard, which oversees its government. "It's well outside of our ability. From my perspective, the Brattleboro Selectboard needs to focus on the town and the things that need to be done here." Daims has been circulating documents that claim the community acquires a "universal jurisdiction" to take such steps "when governments breach their highest duties." "We have the full power to issue indictments, conduct trials, incarcerate offenders and do all other acts which Independent jurisdictions may of right do," the statement says. Vermont Attorney General William Sorrell, a Democrat whose office has repeatedly sued the Bush administration over environmental issues, said the move was "of very dubious legality." "I have not seen the proposal, and I've done no legal research on any of the issues," Sorrell said. "But at first blush, if this passed, they'd have really uphill sledding trying to have it be legal and enforceable." http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/12/28/ver...=rss_topstories ******************* Welcome to Brattleboro - all visitors must leave brains outside town limits.

  19. His Ph.D, B.Sc., et all and education came from an accredited secular college like any other scientist out there. http://www.victoria.ac.nz/home/ Another atheist tactic is to attack the messenger, not the message. Refute what he wrote with more than it's "actually very simple." It's self-explanatory, Jukia....and actually very simple.
  20. Don't you ever sleep?? 4:37 am??? I have bizarre sleeping habits. One night I can get two hours and be fine all day, other nights I crash for like 12 hours! My brain and body DELIGHT in working against each other...
  21. I am very fascinated by the subject of NDE's (Near-Death Experiences) and I am quite curious to know if anyone here has had one, and if so, what was it like? What did you see and experience? Thanks!
  22. I wasn't wrong. I said Einstein dropped out of high school, and I was correct. From a bio: "In 1894, when Einstein was fifteen, his father's business failed, and the Einstein family moved to Italy, first to Milan and then, after a few months, to Pavia. During this time, Albert wrote his first scientific work, "The Investigation of the State of Aether in Magnetic Fields." Albert had been left behind in Munich to finish high school, but in the spring of 1895, he withdrew to join his family in Pavia, convincing the school to let him go by using a doctor's note. Rather than completing high school, Albert decided to apply directly to the ETH Zurich, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, Switzerland. Without a school certificate, he was required to take an entrance examination, which he failed, although he got exceptional marks in mathematics and physics." He eventually completed it. But my off the cuff comment that he was a drop out, was true. Jukia, you really need to stop making claims like that. You are embarrassing yourself. Not only must there be the code itself present, but the mechanism for translation and copying as well. Dr. Jonathan Sarfati, B.Sc. (Hons.), Ph.D., F.M. (Victoria University of Wellington, NZ) writes: "Those four types of DNA bases, A,C,G and T, or
