I thought the quote was worth a laugh. Treasury secretary wants to dump pennies He says, "The penny is worth less than any other currency." No doubt a Harvard or Yale man. After the penny goes I predict the nickel will be worth less than any other currency.

Marza, May I suggest that it appears you are confusing the beast in Rev 17 with the woman who rides it. I am not denying that the Unites Nations or some other world entity will come into play at the last days. In fact I suspect it will happen. The beast has ten horns. Scripture tells us the horns are ten kings that will come into the picture at the last days, (Rev 17:12). I am not confusing the beast, the heads or the horns with the woman. The woman rides the beast, controls it, influences its movements but they are not the same. You say,

Mystery Babylon is the false church. Rev 17 and 18 is the same woman. She does not know she is the false church.

Marnie and man, you miss my point. What Michelle wrote 20+ years ago has nothing to do with the position her husband takes today. What his position is on various issues. I suspect if the Democrats dug up something on Mrs. Huckabee or Mrs. McCain or Mrs. Paul that they wrote while in college you would be crying,

As Christians we are to be looking for the return of Christ, not for the anti-Christ. It is the Blessed Hope of Titus 2:13. It is the One Hope of Ephesians 4:4. It is the Hope we are to hold until the end in Hebrews 3:6. It is our final Hope in Peter 1:13. Debate the Rapture all you want. It is wasted effort. 1John 3:2-3 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Bush drove from Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv to Jerusalem instead of taking a helicopter as original planned because of fears that the peace-loving Palestinians may shoot the copter out of the air. Bush will not spend any time in Sedrot while in Israel because the peace-loving Hamas freedom fighters are daily sending rockets into that city and surrounding areas killing and wounding civilians. Bush will not go to the Temple Mount to pray as that would upset the peace-loving Muslims who control the mount and probably would start World War III. Instead Bush will meet with peace-loving Mahmoud Abbas, head of the Palestinians who wrote a book denying the holocaust, and worked with that peace-loving Nobel Prize winner Yasser Araffat. Instead Bush will nudge Olmet and Israel toward the cliff of a two-state solution that, if God allows (and He won

To know the true voice of Israel
Old Timer replied to nebula's topic in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
Smalcald, your comment is most interesting and we may be just debating semantics. To say we do not worship the same God is a bit confusing to me. True the Jews do not recognize Jesus as the Messiah and in that they are certainly mistaken. They cannot see the triune nature of the One God. However, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is the Father, the One to whom Jesus prayed. I certainly do pray to that same God in Jesus -
To know the true voice of Israel
Old Timer replied to nebula's topic in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
The show is presented by Jews, featuring Jews, from Jerusalem. The show glorifies the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob - the same God I worship! The show supports the State of Israel. The show glorifies the prophecies of Scripture. If you don't see the return of our Messiah in this then check your Bible. -

Yes! I watched the first show. It was great to hear the Jews who had made aliyah speak of their experience. I look forward to watching every broadcast. Glad you mentioned it, Nebula. -

What I am about to suggest sounds un-Christian, I admit, but I see no other solution. Bomb the living daylights out of every terrorist stronghold in Iraq. Declare victory and bring every U.S. soldier and citizen home! What's unChristian about that idea? That solution would involve killing innocent women and children and would take the same type of courage displayed by Harry Truman when he dropped the atomic bombs on Japan. I do not see anyone in politics today with that fortitude. Perhaps it is not un-Christian but it would certainly be declared so. Put the same effort now being wasted on Iraq into securing our boarders and we would be spending our money against terrorism in a much more effective way without the cost in American lives.
