  1. Anything that you wouldn't alow someone to do in your house should not be on your t.v.
  2. Any music that causes you to move your body in a way that you would not move it before the Lord is a sin. Any lyric that are about worldly things is a sin, too.
  3. I would have to agree with Robert J. Sargent when he wrote on this subject that the only English version of the Bible accurately translated from the Masoretic is the King James Bible of 1611 A.D., also known as the Athorized Version; then again I'm realated to the guy!lol(King James) Not to mention I'm one of the last born poet of this day, so the language agrees with me.
  4. Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence. -Helen Keller Helen Keller was afflicted at the age of 19 months with an illness (possibly scarlet fever) that left her blind, deaf, and mute. She was examined by Alexander Graham Bell at the age of six; as a result he sent to her a 20-year-old teacher, Anne Sullivan (Macy) from the Perkins Institution for the Blind in Boston, which Bell's son-in-law directed. Sullivan, a remarkable teacher, remained with Keller. Her education and training represent an extraordinary accomplishment in the education of persons with these disabilities. March 1887 until her own death in October 1936.
  5. I'm not sure if the following has anything to do with animals killing animals, but that's how I'm understanding it. Is it, how do you understand it? Genesis 9:5 And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.
  6. So, let me get this strait, if your saying what I think you're saying then we are only physical beings. Or, do you believe that there is more to a human than that?
  7. I do think that video games impact a person! I also think that most of them are harful. Anything that is of the world is automaticly evil to me. At one point I swore that I would never alow a game system into our house. However, that was before they started to reproduce the old game system Atai. Then I caved being swept off of my feet by happy childhood memories. Now that we own one I believe that it depends on the game more than the system. That is the game should be educational I think, or at least they should be challanging (without breaking any of the ten comandment).
  8. I don't know what to say and I know that someone out there must have something better to say then that, but I felt like I should say something. I'm guessing that we have all been in some simular situation, or another. If it helps The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. And maybe your best friend did come to repentance? Just like Idonna did. I know that this isn't exactly the situation that you've been through, but I lost my best friend, too. Long story short, during a phone call I juged her for her sin (this was before I came to repentance). Now I can't tell her that I found Jesus, either.
  9. Will we ever see our beloved pets again? I thought I knew. I didn't believe that we would ever see them again. In fact I used to say that that made the time we have with them here on earth even more special. However, the more I grow to miss my cat the more I want to believe that we will see our beloved pets again. What do you all believe? Please, be as scriptual as possible on this one, because I'd really like to know the truth.
  10. Because conditions didn't change in a way that necessitated a genetic shift. Horseshoe crabs are basically living fossils - they've been just fine. Excuse me, but I couldn't help but to notice that you didn't touch that original question. Why?
  11. An English naturalist named Charles Darwin published a book about evolution. Darwin said that God did not create the living world as we know it and as the Bible says. Darwin believed that all living things developed somehow over vast ages of time. He said that invertebrates like insects and jullyfish slowly turned into invertebrates like fish, lizards, and horses. He said that there were no people at first, but then some tree-dwelling, monkeylike creatures with tails, hairy bodies, and pointed ears gradually developed into people. - Understanding God's World by Laurel Hicks and Dawn Mereness Now, could someone please explain to me if this is true (which it's not) then why hasn't man developed (evolved) past our sinful nature?
  12. Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. In Matthew 16:18, the Lord Jesus did not change the meaning of ekklesia, but He distinguished it from other assemblies of the day with the personal pronoun "MY". Thus a New Testament church is the "Lord's Assembly". There are four important facts concerning an "assembly": First, people cannot "come together" and yet be all over the world! For example, an automobile is an "assembly" of many and various parts: How absurd to think of it as being everywhere - a "universal car"!!! Second, In all but about 15 instances, where it is used in a "generic" or "institutional" sensethe word "church" or "churches" is always used in connection with definite, geographic localities. Third, look at the following Bible references note the actual cities cities or regions where some real churches were located: 16:1 I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea: 1:2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours: 16:1 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye. 16:19 The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house. 8:1 Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; 4:16 And when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye likewise read the epistle from Laodicea. 1 Th 1:1 Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians which is in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. 5:13 The church that is at Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you; and so doth Marcus my son. 2:1 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; 8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; 12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges; 18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass; 3:1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. 7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; Fourth, for these reasons, the Bible knows nothing of a universal, world-wide "church". The New Testament mentions many churches, all of which were meeting in different localities. I would highly recomend that you read the entire source of this information personally. You can find it in a book called The ABC's of Christian Growth by Robert J. Sargent. I know I sure did enjoy it.

    Salvation

I could hear the laughter of a happily ever after I approached a fence that was keeping me hence only seeing a vived vine never ceasing to entwine curiously I started to leap intermediately catching a peep I could see a picture perfect pure in all aspect There were children there that I would have recognized anywhere sparking auqamarine light danced with all it's might and as it pierced my view in that moment I knew I wasn't able to consort not without a resort John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: I actually had this happen to me in a dream when I was a child. It has always stuck with me, but it wasn't until after I recieved my salvation that I could interpet the dream. If you are saved then you probably all ready know the interpetation. Somewhere inside of me I knew that I was missing something. What I want to know is is the anyone else out there who had a similar experience before they received their salvation?
  14. Why do people insist in corupting their own minds with R rated films? My Preach always tells this story about a native american who claimed that he had to dogs (one white and the other black) fighting inside of him. When asked which one was winning he replied, "It depents on which one I feed the most." - Get it?

    Sin

That has to be the most simplistic understandable yet read between the lines darkest poem I've related to. Meaning simplistic, as a Christian I knew right away it is the serpent and temptation, understandable because I am a believer and I have discernment, and dark because it is so intimate with the truth of temptation and satan that it brought tears to my eyes. If you don't mind I need to have a copy of this, would you mind? It's well.. beyond words how you wrote it. Great job. Thank you for the confirmation that I so desperately needed that I do in fact have a gift at writting poetry. God has told me many times to write a book and until now I never had the confidence to do so. No, please help yourself! My work is for the glory of God I would never dream of taking a dime for it.
  16. A dream of water can relate to the emotions or the unconscious. In the Freudian perspective, water relates to sexual matters, usually the female genitalia.
  17. Okay, this is kind of silly, but I can remember my gandma always used to say, "Oh, horse feathers!" Then I would alway say, "Grandma horses don't have any feathers?" That still makes me smile twentysome years later.

    Sin

It's the pool of sin so, come on in take of your shirt what could it hurt come have a seat please, wet your feet and if you should feel so good come again to the pool of sin come now follow me why not, for you it's free go on take a swim sorry, the lights are dim we don't like light but, I promise not to bite what's your pleasure find your treasure it's the pool of sin So, come on in The door is alays open here at the pool of sin So, don't be afraid to have a seat in the shade Or, have a little fun please, don't shun there will be regrete but, I'll just bet that won't stop you from doing what you do Have a blast it won't last but, you will come again to the pool of sin Why doesn't matter you'll still climb down that latter After all we knew Paul It's the sin of your choice but, ignore His voice Or, els you'll have to go until once again we'll say, hello and you're welcome to stay this is what I mean when I say It's the pool of sin so, come on in This is a poem that I wrote a few years back. I get a tickle out of reading it in a dark mysterious voice, but it's real. Sin is real and it's no laughing matter either. You know the Bible says: Matthew 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. We all know that Christ died for our sins. What I want to know is do we really try to remember that? I mean getting through a day is like a scourging for me. My flesh, oh how I hate my flesh! Is anyone out there relating to what I'm saying?
  19. I would give the interpretation that you were giving yourself the assurance of your salvation that you needed at the time. However, I would recomend you make your own dream dictionary. This will help you to become more attuned to yourself. Just write the first words that come to mind next to the following list of words: Altar . . . . Bridge . . . Church . . . Door. . . . Food. . . . Grass. . . . House. . . . knife. . . . Lamp. . . . Mirror. . . . Ocean. . . . Plane. . . . Street. . . . Table. . . . Water. . . . Zoo. . . . Show the list to friends and family and ask them to do the same. You will see that not everyone interpets things in the same way. However, I think you might want to know that a death dream usually indicates that your letting go of something, moving on. On the other hand, a corpse can indicate a lifeless routine.
  20. The word "church" (or churches") is found 114 times in the New Testament, and is rended from the Greek word "Ekklesia". This word 'ekklesia' has only one meaning- "a company of people called out to a specific place for a specific purpose". Colossians 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. A church is figuratively likened to a body. What use would a toe be if it was on your head? An assembly must be organized! Also, It has to have a head. Hebrew 13:7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation. According to Hebrews 13:7, We are to remember our pastors and follow them. 17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you. According to Hebrews 13:17, we are to obey our pastors and submit to their leadership and oversight of the church. If your church has a program for teaching children the gospel. A program that your pastor supports by faith as being the best way for children to learn about the gospel and their not in it, then you might as well find a church that doesn't have that program. I believe that if you don't your not in God's will.
  21. I interpret this to mean "the time leading up to the end...just before the second coming of Christ" Okay, that's what I thought, too! Now, if you don't mind I want to ask you if you agree with the following statement: In a dream Angels represent help from the higher source inside a christian. The appearance of an angel may suggest a growing spiritual awareness.
  22. And it shall come to pass in the last days, Can anyone tell me what this means?
  23. What does the phrase, "Last Days" mean?
