Please Pray for Our fighting Soldiers In Iraq! My daughter Shellie and I are leaving tomorrow afternoon to go and visit my Mother in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. It is a 3.5 hour ride from where we live. We will be home by the weekend. I have been praying all week that my Mom will grace us with a smile on her face and a jojful heart! Hold your fingers for me, I mean us. Or add her in your prayers. Mom doesn't have a computer so I won't be on line those days. I hope everyone is happy, joyful and at Peace! Til next time! Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem! There was a little boy who was dying. His parents did everything they could to make his life as comfortable as possible. The parents knew the time was coming to help the little boy deal with his fears. So they sat down and explained who God was. They told their son about Jesus and His death and Resurrection. The Dad decided to teach his son the 23 Psalm. The little boy's memory was very good, for he memorized the Psalm very quickly. The mother decided to share this with her son: Look at your left hand and five fingers. Your fingers represent the following, "The LORD Is My Shepherd!" Your thumb is "The, Your first finger is LORD, Your middle finger IS Your fourth finger My Your fifth finger Shepherd!" The little boy's parents would always hug and hold his hand when the pain was more then he could handle. One night the mother came out of her son's bedroom! She told her husband that their son had passed on. With tears in their eyes they entered the little guy's bedroom. There layed their silent son. He was holding on with his right hand to his left fourth finger, "My!" The little guy died holding on to His LORD's finger knowing, "The Lord Is My Shepherd!" Liz4JC

Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem! As you well know we live in a world that changes by the second. The Grand Rapids Press Obituaries now offers new wording for family members to choose from. Like... Found his true Home with his Heavenly Father.. Went Home to be with her LORD.. Went Home to be with His Lord and Savior! Died and Passed on are still used too. I was just wondering what your thoughts on this type of wording might be. Liz

Pray for our Soliders fighting in Iraq! The US Senate voted on a bill to allow aliens access to our Social Security. The alien would need to get citizenship but not have to pay anything into the fund. Many Seniors now living on SS find it hard to make it thru the month let alone to take more cuts. Webster's Dictionary defines "Mysticism" as doctrine or beliefs of mystics, specifically, the doctrine that is possible to achieve COMMUNION with GOD through contemplation and love. Webster defines "Contemplation" as the act of looking at something intently...2 mediatation on Spiritual things...3 the act of looking forward or expectation. Webs defines "mystery" in thelogy, any assumed truth that cannot be comprehended by the human mind and must be ACCEPTED by FAITH. Now in the Bible there are 3 references to thw word, "Mysteries>" First.... in Matthew 13:11 ~ Jesus said, "You are permitted to understand the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven." in Luke 8:10 ~ Jesus said, "You are permitted to understand the mysteries of the kingdom of God." in 1 Col. 14:2 ...In the spirit he speaketh mysteries. The word Mystery has 22 references from Mark 4:11 to Revelations 17:17. Heavenly Father, I pray that you will lay upon the hearts of my Brothers and Sisters, Your Truth on this topic, in Jesus name. Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem! I KNOW that Jesus Christ, my LORD and Savior is the main focus. The OT and it's make up is what it is. Funny though, in my church we have what is called, "The First Lesson." The information in this Lesson comes from the OT. What is the sense of reading from the OT if we are to disregard what it means. To step out in FAITH in Jesus Christ, within my life, I believe it takes the OT and the NT, to truly understand, my LORD! This is my Choice as to how I will walk in His Footsteps!. Liz

Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem! Okay! There has got to be others out there who are doing something, other then staying glued to Worthy forums. Feed the children & poor. Visit the sick in hospitals. Visit folks in prisons. Help an elderly family fix their house. Visit nuring homes and visit with someone who no longer has family to visit them. Give an ear to your troubled next door neighbour. Knit hats, scarfs and donate them. Help at a Street peoples Cafe. Try doing things of charity on the spur of the moment. The results are awesome! Okay, it's your turn now! Liz

However, I would like to know what my Worthy Brothers & Sisters are doing for others and the world we live in. Most of you know I knit baby hats and donate them to infants all over the USA. Have made over 300 in a year's time. Maybe everyone could share one or two things that they are doing to make today's world better for our grandchildren of tomorrow. Shalom. Liz

Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem! re: Question About three Different Walks I hope I can explain this to your understanding. As you know ny friend Virginia died yesterday. She didn't go to church all the time. Yet she had been in many over her life's span. She new of Jesus. However, I am not sure that He was in her mind 24/7. Maybe more towards the finally days. (I pray!) Now... My neighbour Lois, her sister-in-law SHARON has cancer. She just found this out last week. She is loosing blood rapidly. They gave her 3 bags of blood on Saturday. She told the Doctors if she is going to die then ship her home and not to a nursing home. In all the years that I have known Sharon I have never heard her say anything about Jesus Christ. In fact I just called Lois and she stated that Sharon never went to church, except to go to a wedding. So.... Here we have two different Walks of Life. I am concerned about both of them! Plus I am concerned about my own walk. I pray each night, "The Lord's Prayer," and Life up my family and friends in prayer. I go to church and give to the mission the church supports. I ask for forgiveness of my sins and take Holy Communion. I listen to Christian music and try to watch Christian Family movies. I thank God for the changing of the seasons. I read the Bible more when I am researching something that I don't know much about. (Maybe not enough, though!!) My life walk with Jesus Christ is by Faith. I would venture to say many of you have no problems when it comes to any of this. My finally question is Where do Sharon and Virginia stand when it comes to Jesus Christ.? This question is draped in tears!!!! Liz

Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem! Greetings Brothers & Sisters, I received a phone call today informing me a dear elderly friend of mine, died. Her name was Virginia Robinson. She was visting her grandaughter in Florida. I guess she fell and broke her hip and was in the hospital. She and I became friends about 8 years ago. She was a very nice friend, Mother,Grandmother,Sistern-n-law. She lived about 12 miles north of me in a small town, Sand Lake. I would drive up and visit with her. We'd talk and laugh. We played card games. Many times, she would share her evening meal with me. We even talked about Jesus and the problems found in the churches. I pray that we will meet again in Paradise. We had a Mother/daughter relationship, one that I will truly miss since I don"t have one with my own Mother. Wow! It was hard to write this. Well Please pray for her family! Thanks! Shalom Liz

When I was born in 1946, we didn't have computers or tv's. One thing that was nice is that the Doctors made house calls. The only Doctor that makes house calls in this day and age is the Death Doctor. Liz
