I am a widow of 21 years. My children are out of the nest. I see them once a month or so. I used to go and visit a older friend of mine but she passed on in March. I don't work and I am at home most of the time. My neighbours are married or a few are single yet they seem busy all the time. It's hard some days. Sometimes, I jump in my truck and drive around the park. Just to take my mind off of my loneliness. I have been in church and heard someone ask a friend to dinner. I hear myself saying, "I'd like to go too!" I haven't been on a date in over 8 years. Yes, you read that statement correctly. I guess you could say we are living in another season. The desire to change what we do in that season is left up to us and GOD! For me I am going to take a ride out into the country and find an Amish family that could use some extra help and friendship. I have been thinking and praying about this. So I need to jump into my truck and go exploring. There's an idea for you jump into your vechile and see where you end up. Have Fun! Liz

Yes, it works well topically. The open sore on my arm was bleeding and within 1 hour the sore was closed and healing. Liz

Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem! I read an article that stated honey was a good healing agent for diabetics who have foot uclers. Well I don't have sores on my feet. I do have ucler like sore on my right arm. So today, I cleaned the area and then applied honey to them. I left the honey on for about 60 minutes. Yes, the areas were sticky. I just made an effort to pay attention to where I put my right arm down. Anyways, after that short period of time, the uclers that were open and bleeding had closed up. I plan on treating them again tomorrow. Who would have thought (besides GOD) that honey would be a healing agent! Liz4JC

I watched about 30 minutes of T.V. this evening. For the better part of the day I listened to Christian radio. Sermons from different Pastors and churchs. It was nice, peaceful and the message of God filled my ears. Awesome!! Liz4JC

Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem! Has anyone thought of this ~ that due to high price gasoline, people staying home more. Making it very suitable for a Terrorists attack coming to the nearest city. I just thought of this the other day and it sure does make sense. More people at their homes, cooking out and partying. There are some big subdivisions in the area outside of Grand Rapids. Just a thought since things have been very quiet for some time now. Liz

You may think the gasoline hike is because of the holiday but I don't think so this year. I think that we are going to see the price go over $4 per gallon. Showing the rest of the world that the US is catching up with their prices, sort of. Europe is paying alittle over $6 per gallon. Ofcourse, their cities are very close together. One can bike to the store if need be. I would never make it to a store if I had to ride a bike. Closest store is 5 miles. One other little point ~ God does provide knowing we will make the right Choices. Liz

Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem! Summer Outdoor Furniture I live outside of Grand Rapids Michigan. On the TV I have seen all kinds of ads for outdoor summer funiture. This stuff isn't cheap. It is made in iron, wicker and material cushions. My point is............................................................ That the owners of these companies got wise and decided the time was now to push their things. With gasoline the price it is a vacation at home might be what most folks with choose. Having a nice pool and great looking outdoor furniture. Well I would have loved to have been the fly on the wall when the decision was made. Or maybe they had a MOLE in the oil companies. Liz4JC

The word here in Michigan is that our gasoline is going to go up another 20cents per gallon We are waiting to see if it will happen this week or next. If it does happen this week it will be a 40 cent increase in total. We would be paying $3.69 per gallon. I think it will be up to $4 per gallon by July 4th. Liz

Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem! I live in Michigan. Gasoline went up by 20cents today. I paid $3.49 per gallon. I understand gasoline is going to go up more because of refiners being shut down for repair and other reasons. Diesel fuel in Michigan is $3 per gallon give or take a couple of cents in both directions. Gas goes up, Food goes up, wages dropping! Come Lord Jesus! Liz

Repent and be humble. Everyday is a new day of mercies. Everyday requires repententence even more than just mornings and evenings for the Lord will come in the twinkling of an eye. We all must be ready to recieve Him. Praise the Lord for His forgiveness! Every night I read the Death column in my newspaper. Many people are dying suddenly and I am always wondering if they were ready to meet The LORD! We think about it more often because we know HIM. I pray folks are making the effort and preparing to meet their Maker at all times. Liz4JC

Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem! Hello Everyone, I am back home in Michigan. As I told you last week my daughter and I were going to visit my Mom in Windsor Ontario. Just outside of Wayne county limits(Detroit), I remember that My PASSPORT is sitting in my desk drawer at home. Oh, boy, will the Canadian government let me in? The Canadian Customs Officer did let me pass thru, except he told me that the US Customs might give me a hard time since I couldn't prove where I was born. Well, that comment left me not feeling too good and the worry started to slip it. I finally asked GOD to take care of this problem via His Son, Jesus. Each night I was in Windsor I prayed and sang songs of Praise. During the day there were times when I could feel and hear the concern slipping back. I quiclkly said, "I believe and I Trust My God!" We were crossing the bridge from Canada to the USA just about 12:30.p.m. A traffic guard flagged us over to the far lane and I went to it. Two cars ahead of us went thru and then it was MY turn. The US Officer asked where we had been and if we had any articles to declare. Then he told us to have a nice day!!! Oh, Jesus ~ Thank You! How Great Thou Art!!!! Liz4JC
