  1. I think so, ever had a thought pop up in your mind urging you to sin? It's just my guess, but I don't think that thought is all you
  2. Wow, I know the west coast here was put on alert to. They really just expected a rise in sea level, which is probably all that happened.
  3. My opinion We've watered down Easter to bunnies and chocolate. While I don't find anything wrong with celebrating Easter, let's at least celebrate it in a more appropriate manner. We've turned the celebration of the resurrection into a holiday of our own convenience. I'm so surprised at how many kids today don't even know the true meaning of Easter. They see chocolate and eggs, which is all these big corporations like to flash on tv. We haven't quite turned it into a disaster like Christmas yet but we're slowly getting there.
  4. Right, America is great but won't always be great. At some point, Christians will no longer be able to support America at all (unfortunately, that's how history works). For now, however, we should criticize the bad, offer a solution, and appreciate the good (especially our history). Did Jesus say to try and change your country, or, did he say to serve and not try to be in control? We can dislike how things are being run but it's simply not up to us to try and change things. Serve your fellow people and be the light of God wherever you go, that's our true mission. You know its an americans responsibility to participate in the way this country works. This country was founded by christians and we should be very involved in how it runs, how it grows or if it starts falling. Abdication of ones responsibility is not right. this country was founded by the same principals that christ taught in how a NT church should be. if we don't work to change our country for the better, it's the same as turning your back on christ. We have no power on todays corrupt government.

  6. When people love their country more then their savior, they have a serious problem. Just in general, I'm not pointing fingers.
  7. I'm sorry, but I can't exactly see how there is persecution or mocking in this post. It seemed a sincere question from a member who wished their child to have some form of religious education. That said, I think the best way that a child can be learn about Christian values and beliefs is to be brought up in them. The only way that you can do this is to be Christian yourself, attend church, live a CHristian life. Without a CHristian model to follow, teaching a child Christian concepts can be tricky (I'm sure the same can be said for any other belief - Muslim, Hindu, Judaic, those are the ones you mentioned in your post). If the poster wants his child to live a Christian life, he (or she) will have to model that life themselves, for their children to learn and grow from. I could be wrong, but that's just me. Regards, PA The way he describes it led me to think he was mocking us somehow. Don't be so surprised.
  8. Christianity isn't an after school activity, this is a relationship with God. Is this a joke? Are you mocking us somehow? It was foretold that we would be persecuted for our beliefs, even in insult form. I do not believe that only him but your entire family should attend church and I pray that it opens your eyes to what God wants to share with you. Open your heart to Jesus and you will never be the same.
  9. No no, it's based on the 300 Spartans that held off 30,000 Persians in a narrow mountain pass.
  10. I've never heard of it, but I can give you a recommendation on 300.
  11. Yes, He sure did! In Matthew 6:34 He said, "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble." (NKJV) Right! I'd rather enjoy my Christian walk as I know it here on earth...because I really am enjoying my time here! If the time comes, it comes...I'll be ready. But I'm not going to try and say that I "feel" it is going to happen in the next ten years...because God said he is going to come when we least expect it (like a thief in the night). People have been predicting the "end times" ever since the Bible was written and the "end times" were mentioned. I seriously don't think we are supposed to be doing that... Yup, I can't put a timetable on it, because I don't know! hehe I just enjoy looking ahead and thinking about how great it would be.
  12. I've had nightmares like that a lot . I've never been through a spiritual attack, yet. Although I'm really starting to get into the Bible and Jesus. A couple weeks ago I was still living a sinful lifestyle, as satan probably liked . Before I really started getting into Christ I was hearing a lot of strange noises downstairs, where my room is. Once I began learning more and more of the Bible, the noises subsided.
  13. Seeing movies- just saw 300 and I must say it was awesome Bowling Playing pool Sight seeing Games Internet
  14. I'm not sure on this one. I think we can be blessed with that kind of compassion, but I'll admit that I don't walk around and see strangers that I Truly care about. I really wish I could have that kind of compassion since the Bible says Love thy neighbor as thy self. I guess the way to get things started is to just be nice to people around us and not get upset when they do things that typically annoy us. That's what I try to do, and I Do get upset with people sometimes but I feel bad about it afterwards and apologize to God for my actions.
  15. Nice, I was wondering about this the other day. I didn't exactly think God wanted us to rub vegetable oil on ourselves.
