A Broken Heart Jesus said in Luke 4:18-19, Jesus quotes Isaiah, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord." Whew! I am so sorry how your pastor treated you. I don't think you should have had to leave the church. My heart goes out to you and the people not responding to you in your greatest time of need is the result of the heart of that church (pastor). I believe that you and your husband need to talk to him with other witnesses and resolve these things with your pastor. A pastor is there to help not send away.

Hi Philip! It could be that you have suffered trauma or you have a need that your flesh is crying out to be met. Read on my teaching on this about hurts and how strongholds are formed and then we act out of those strongholds (lies faulty belief of meeting the flesh need). People hurt because a person's primary present emotional pain comes from the misinterpretations (lies or stronghold of thinking) learned during life experiences and not from the memories of these events themselves. For example, a child feels shame not because his father divorced his mother but because he may believe it was his fault (the lie or stronghold of thinking). When I have negative emotional response in the present, it can almost always be traced back to an earlier event. In this earlier event there will be a belief that was established from which this negative emotion is rooted. My present feelings are generally indicative of what I believe. It is believed that behavior is greatly influenced by the knowledge stored in the mind. emtmedgrl There could be several reasons. I know my parents, when I was growing up, moved into this house and I felt the presence of evil. My dad was tormented and I had a visitation to something that was evil and it scared the witts out of me. I was so young in the Lord at that time that I didn't know what to do. My parents only lived there for one year and I was never so glad to move. Anyway, that area where my parents house was at one time was a big lot where witches would gather and do sacrifics. There could have been a familiar spirit on the land where the house was. I had the authority to tell that spirit to go but did not know it. Now, since I'm older and wiser in the Lord, have learned many things. I've studied under a guy that does deliverance and he has written a book called "PORTALS TO CLEANSING." The house I live in, I took the time to buy four stakes and put scriptures on them and hammer them in the ground on each corner of my lot. Our bodies is a temple of the holy spirit. What did Jesus do when the temple was being defiled with trading? The word says to surrender our minds to Christ. Why would you want to fill it with Satan's stuff? The Word says to: Romans 12:2 - We are transformed by the renewing of our mind.( through the Word.). Not by experiences, this means it is not subjective but objective. So, with Romans 12:2 - it says to fill it with Him and not with other things. I've done deliverance for a long time and done deliverance on people that thought the same thing as you. They wanted to know more and the more they read about Satan's work the more they wanted to know and read and got sucked in big time. Working with people that are SRA (Satanically Ritually Abused) to get them free, I heard too much about the abuse the enemy does on these people. It is horrific and I guarantee it is not nice. Why would you go seek the things of Satan? I would say it is a trap of Satan to get you to doubt.

The mind of a man is like a TV screen that pictures various thoughts. Thoughts come from different sources: a. From God. b. From physical stimuli (the five senses). c. From self (memory & imagination). d. From the powers of darkness (evil spirits). Man, unlike all other earthly creatures, was given a conscience by which he can judge the purity of thoughts. (Rom. 2:14-15). Man was also given the power of his will to choose which thoughts to entertain or reject. When one chooses (by the will) to entertain a specific evil thought, then he leaves his door (the will) open for an evil spirit to enter. I don't think you can make a deal wilth the devil in your sleep. It could be a warning dream for you to realize you need the Lord and to seek him.

To answer your question if it was working: Yes, I had been praying protection (putting everything under the blood of Christ - I usually pray a certain prayer every day) over everything including my finances for at least 6 months and lately been having breakthroughs in finances. It used to be when I got an extra dollar I couldn't even save any of it without something happening. It happened all the time. The issue with generational sins of the forfathers is a new revelation the Lord gave me recently. I felt the dream was a warning for me and that I had to take another step. It was a revelation from the Lord.

I also studied and worked with Dr. Henry Malone for about 5 years. I learned a lot and also still involved in deliverance ministry on my own and with other ministries. Here are some information about deliverance/demons, etc. The Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke abound with accounts of Jesus casting demons out of people. A major part of His earthly ministry, perhaps as much as one-third, was devoted to deliverance. His purpose in becoming man, dying on the cross and conquering the grave was to defeat Satan in our behalf. "The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work" I John 3:8. Believers in Christ have been entrusted with a spiritual "power of attorney": authority to act in the absence and interests of Another. All authority in heaven and on earth belongs to Jesus. Jesus said: "I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions, and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you" Luke 10:1. Spiritual Warfare over Finance and/or other areas where there seems to be a repeat. Just to give an account to what transpired for the Lord to give me more revelation over finances. Yesterday, June 16, 2004, I thought my car was stolen that would have made it the third time in 2 years. The good news is that it was not stolen and that I had parked it in a different place even though I did look all over the garage.
