  1. If it isn't an actual hymn, let it be a poem that celebrates the love of Jesus. All positive and good for the soul...lifting up His holy name. I don't want the poem to give any mention to the adversary (devil) and his little helpers Be they human or supernatural.) This thread is for JESUS only. Praise His holy name!
  2. Some day my brother is gonna post the lyrics to a hymn in here, right?
  3. Come To The Saviour Make No Delay Hymn Come to the Savior, make no delay; Here in His Word He has shown us the way; Here in our midst He’s standing today, Tenderly saying, “Come!” Refrain Joyful, joyful will the meeting be, When from sin our hearts are pure and free; And we shall gather, Savior, with Thee, In our eternal home. “Suffer the children!” oh, hear His voice! Let ev’ry heart leap forth and rejoice; And let us freely make Him our choice; Do not delay, but come. Refrain Think once again, He’s with us today; Heed now His blest command, and obey; Hear now His accents tenderly say, “Will you, My children, come?”
  4. Does anyone have a hymn to contribute? If so, please post the lyrics here. Also, feel free to share how it has touched your life. My desire is to lift up the name of Jesus.
  5. @Revlori I appreciate you letting me know. Praising Him along with you! He is indeed the God of perfect timing.
  6. @mlbrokish @marvelloustime There is nothing I want more in this life than to lift up the name of Jesus. I long to see the lost get saved and to edify the body of Christ. Thanks to both of you for your encouraging words. I praise the Lord that my poem touched you and glorified Christ. GBU.
  7. @marvelloustime Yes. This is imperative.
  8. @marvelloustime Amen! Thanks for posting this. There is a song I love that includes this verse. I will post it soon. "Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you."
  9. Thinking upon a chorus that was well known and often sung years ago. (Written by Bill and Gloria Gaither.) Jesus, Jesus, Jesus; there's just something about that name. Master, Savior, Jesus, like the fragrance after the rain; Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, let all Heaven and earth proclaim Kings and kingdoms will all pass away, But there's something about that name.
  10. @marvelloustime The Lord brought this old hymn to mind today... I right away thought of you. I look forward to the day we will meet for the first time in Heaven. Also, meet each other's moms. I know mine would be tickled to know the Lord brought you into my life. She always wanted me to have a sister. Some Golden Daybreak Some glorious morning sorrow will cease Some glorious morning all will be peace Heartaches all ended, school days all done Heaven will open–Jesus will come Some golden daybreak Jesus will come Some golden daybreak, battles all won He’ll shout the victory, break through the blue Some golden daybreak, for me, for you. Sad hearts will gladden, all shall be bright Goodbye forever to earth’s dark night Changed in a moment, like Him to be Oh, glorious daybreak, Jesus I’ll see Some golden daybreak Jesus will come Some golden daybreak, battles all won He’ll shout the victory, break through the blue Some golden daybreak, for me, for you. Oh, what a meeting, there in the skies No tears nor crying shall dim our eyes Loved ones united eternally Oh, what a daybreak that morning will be Some golden daybreak Jesus will come Some golden daybreak, battles all won He’ll shout the victory, break through the blue Some golden daybreak, for me, for you.
  11. Praise The Wondrous Savior (A Poem I Wrote Today) Created for God's glory How grateful Lord are we That You have made a way That we can fellowship with Thee Ushered into Your presence Through Christ, the Lamb of God We're blessed to walk the pathway That saints of old have trod The cost of our redemption Was one Christ fully met He is our mediator Our priest and advocate He loves us without measure In ways no human can He understands our weakness He, fully God and Man So give to Him the worship That He alone is due And praise the wonderous Savior Who died for me and you
  12. @Dennis1209 I'm happy to hear that. Thanks for sharing it... Reading your comment has put a big one on mine. So I guess it must be contagious...in a good way. lol.
  13. From an old chorus (by Maranatha singers)... Jesus, name above all names Beautiful Savior, glorious Lord. Emmanuel, God is with us. Blessed Redeemer, Living word.
  14. @Worship Warriors Thanks for posting this. Such a wonderful scripture! And the golden Autumn scene is lovely.
  15. Here is the fuller text (the story surrounding my scripture post) from Acts 4. Peter and John Arrested 4 Now as they spoke to the people, the priests, the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees came upon them, 2 being greatly disturbed that they taught the people and preached in Jesus the resurrection from the dead. 3 And they laid hands on them, and put them in custody until the next day, for it was already evening. 4 However, many of those who heard the word believed; and the number of the men came to be about five thousand. Addressing the Sanhedrin 5 And it came to pass, on the next day, that their rulers, elders, and scribes, 6 as well as Annas the high priest, Caiaphas, John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the family of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.7 And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, “By what power or by what name have you done this?” 8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: 9 If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, 10 let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. 11 This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ 12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
  16. Jesus-what a beautiful and powerful name!!
  17. Short poem, but it is the cry of my heart... To be with my Savior and given a new body. Looking forward to that day When I put this tent away In God's presence, made brand new All the pains of life are through There, I'm severed from the past Face to face with Christ at last From my weakened frame set free Oh what glory that shall be! "For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven, if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked. For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee." (2 Corinthians 5:1-5) While I remain on this earth, I'll serve Him gladly... praying I can be used to make a difference and pointing others towards Jesus Christ.
  18. Psalm 100:1-3 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. 2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. 3 Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
