Ok so these things came to me the other day when i was having a "religious" discussion with some people on an IRC channel. One of them was brought up catholic and hes now an atheist. So i said to him: Your an atheist right. So you believe in logic and reasoning? He said yes. Soi i replied: Whats more logical, a plan or an accident? He replied a plan but then took it back after he realized what he had just said. Ask a non-christian what they believe they have to do to obtain eternal life/go to heaven and most people will say something along the lines of: "Well i would help the homeless, go to church more often, etc." So the typical idea of what we must do to get to heaven is based on good deeds.. this is a human conception. In islam, you have to do good deeds.. Islam is man-made? Can a human create a planet from speaking it into existence? No. God is way way way supreme and different to us. His ways our not our ways. So if our ways include "doing good deeds" to obtain access to heaven, surely thats not God's way? Christianity is the only faith where salvation comes by grace of the almighty which is different to all the other faiths/religions. So if God's ways our not our ways and our way of thought is "Do good deeds to get into heaven". Logic proves that Christianity is the one true faith. Please post your thoughts/comments and what arguments you use when talking faith with a non-christian.

Christians believe the Trinity that God is three persons in one. The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. (truth) Muslims believe that God is one person. Allah. (big lie). edit: sorry i misunderstood the terms.

I'm applying to join the British Army because i think it will be a great experience, i'll get to travel, become disciplined, learn a trade and learn to drive for free and one of the positions i've noted down to apply for is Infantry Soldier. The guidance booklet that i got along with the application form from my local recruitment office says: Whats scripture mention about this. If i kill an enemy in battle, is it murder? Chances are if i become an infantry soldier i'll be sent to Iraq or Afghanistan so i'll be fighting extremist islamic sects.

God spoke to Samuel the priest audibly in 1 Samuel 3. Samuel heard God's voice and woke up and went to the priest Eli because he thought it was Eli who was talking to him at first. Eli told Samuel that it was the Lord who had spoken to him.

Video Link That video has opened my eyes.. over the past few days i've not been reading the bible at all or praying much because i've been so consumed with my PC and watching videos on the Internet.. when really i should have been spending time with God. Are you too busy for Jesus?

Earlier i went into town to buy a world of warcraft game card which allows me to play the game for an extra two months, anyway, as i was walking to the bus stop the bus arrived and i was still quite a fair way off. So i ran to catch the bus. As i was running i had the strong feeling i wasn't going to catch it and that i should have just given up. Yet i tried anyway, i ran harder and faster and caught the bus just as it was leaving. I think this is a good example of how we should live our lives of faith. We are running, sometimes we feel like giving up but if we dont give into these feelings and run all the more harder and with more determination then we might just make it.

i know what u feel like angelique, i've been there before and i let it get to me. But then i remembered that wherever i go, as long as i keep his commandments God is with me at all times and that with his Word in my heart i am never alone.

I dont know why but i prefer the KJV. Probably because the first bible i ever owned (and still own) is the King James version.

I thought that as well (that everyone was praying to the same God). But i thought that other religions were just confused because of false prophets.

I've done it again. The things of this world have become too much for me i've let myself fall back into my old ways. Man this must be about the tenth time i've backslid in the past 365 days. Its not just the tempting things of this world that have contributed to my backsliding.. When i read the bible i find the words dull and uninteresting so i tend to go and do something more interesting like watch an Un-Godly dvd. When i pray, i feel disconnected, like im praying to nothing. Something i did many years ago which is the worst thing i've ever done is also causing me to stray from the Lord, when i think of that horrible thing i've done i just want to jump infront of a train. Yet there is hope, if i was completely lost again, i wouldn't care. But i do care.. Why do i feel like im not good enough for the Lord, like i didn't do enough/like im incapable of serving him. We are to confess our sins, but that thing i did many years ago, i cant even say it outloud to myself let alone confess it to others. Any suggestions.

Wow, ok, thanks. I need to spend more time in the Word.

Recently the Lord has been really working great things, hes put me in contact with a youth christian group in my area called CLAY (Changing Lives Among Youth) which are having a get together on saturday so i emailed them and asked if i could go and they were happy for me to. I was so happy i just wanted to shout out "Jesus is Lord", so today at break at college when me and my friend were in town, i tried shouting "Jesus is Lord" just to show myself that i would gladly declare his name to anyone, anywhere, anytime. But when i shouted it, i became very embarassed and something inside just made me tell myself to shut up. Why did i do this? If someone simply asked me if i believed i would say Yes glady but when it comes to shouting it out to random people in public i became embarassed.

Hi all.. I'm having trouble being distracted by things of this world which distract me from the things from God. Since i got born again i've been spending more time with the Lord but i keep getting led astray with what by flesh wants. Inside, i really want to do things like Study the Word of God, Pray & Teach my friends but I'm fighting with my flesh, The Devil knows my fears & weaknesses and i think he keeps exploiting them to keep me in my flesh. Also, i dont have any christian friends so when i go out (mainly for college) im around people who gladly sin, not knowing of what their actually doing. I pray for the Lord to keep me on the right path but its hard when I'm fighting with my flesh and being surrounded by sinful people. I do go to church, its just not very active. Any help or advice you can offer would be great. Thanks.

May i add that using WPA encryption on your wireless router will secure it further, WEP encryption can be easily cracked.
