  1. The House of Israel, as you probably know, are the 10 lost tribes. They were scattered after going into captivity and some teach that they went over the Caucasus Mountains, settled in Europe and eventually went to England and then to America. (Sax-ons......Isaac's- Sons) It is interesting that we are One Nation Under God and very, very blessed. Also when you consider some scripture it seems to point to the Christian nations being the House of Israel today. Rev.12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Those of the Jewish faith do not keep the testimony of Jesus Christ. We know God doesn't lie and He is telling us that Satan is coming for those that keep it......that has to be Christians. Who are the Christian nations of today? Where else can the House of Israel be except in those nations? God also tells us that the two, the House of Judah and the House of Israel will be joined together again: Ezekiel 37:16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, anf for all the house of Israel his companions: 17.And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand. Something to think about.......Whirlwind
  2. Yes, I believe we should. As He tells us, among the things we should follow are the food laws, worship on the Sabbath (Saturday) and: Deuteronomy 16:16 Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which He shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread (Passover), and in the feast of weeks (Pentecost), and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty: When Yeshua came He fulfilled some of the ordinances, the blood ordinances such as circumcision and sacrifice, but He did not change the Law and Statutes. For whatever reason the church has allowed the changes and added some traditions of man. .........Whirlwind
  3. What if she does'nt get the nomination? Then........Whooo Hooooo, Yaaah! Then Republicans have to beat the Breck Girl or Barack HUSSEIN Obama and if they can't do that then we are in terrible, terrible trouble. I don't know yet who has my vote but I know who doesn't have it. .......Whirlwind
  4. In answering this with what I believe is clarification of your question, at least it is what I believe it means, I stepped off into interpretation. I didn't mean to but it became very difficult to explain my thoughts without doing that. Please forgive that and don't read past the first paragraph if you need to skip the interpretation part. In my understanding of Revelation there are two different beasts, both mentioned in Chapter 13, one from the sea and one from the earth. The beast in chapter 17, I believe, is the same beast mentioned in Chapter 13....the one from the earth. As the first beast (13:1) rises from the sea (usually meaning people) and had crowns (rulers) I believe that means it is political, a political beast or as some have called it - one worldism. The second beast (13:11) comes "out of the earth" and "he had two horns" (power) like a lamb, (he looks like our Lamb - Christ), and "he spake as a dragon." He is the dragon pretending to be Christ. There is no need for interpretation of the beast in Chapter 17 as God tells us who the beast is: Rev.17:7 And the angel said unto me, "Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. 8.The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. That beast can only be one entity. Satan was on earth, he is not here now but he shall ascend out of the pit and he has already been condemned to perdition. The woman riding the beast is, in my opinion. religion....false religion. Satan uses false religion when he comes to earth pretending to be Christ. So...I believe that 13:11 is the same beast as 17:7-8 and that is Satan, the false prophet, in the guise of our Saviour. He uses Babylon the Great, false religion, as well as the power of the first beast (13:1) which is the political system. Sorry I went on so long. .......Whirlwind
  5. Thank you for posting this. It's a great deal for my old brain to gather in but I'm going to print it for further study. .........Whirlwind
  6. Lately, each time I go to a link, my computer freezes up so I'll go to it next as I'm about to say goodnight anyway. The last time I saw the milky way was about twenty years ago way out in the middle of nowhere.....Copper Breaks, Texas. We sat out under the stars and WOW, I have never seen anything like it before or since. It was breath taking and almost frightening to see so many shooting stars. The closest I ever came to that again was after a hurricane when all the electricity was off but it still wasn't the same as that one magic night. Well.....I'm going to give your link a try. ...........Whirlwind
  7. 'yzf-r1' Whose tribulation is the first one... if not Satan's? Mark 13:24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light. 26.And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. What is the first commandment? To have no other gods before Him. If we fall for Satan's lies and worship him instead of waiting for Christ then we break that Commandment. If we don't... then we have His promise, we have "kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing." Notice that 3:10 tells us that hour comes on the "whole world." It doesn't say we'll be whisked away but He does promise that we will not be harmed. Those being harmed during the time of Satan's tribulation are not physically hurt....it is spiritual. They are spiritually taken when they follow him. Rev.12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. He can't do that if we are gone! I see nothing in those scriptures that hints at rapture, except 1 Thess. 4 and it was refuted by Paul himself in his next letter. You shouldn't have to "carefully examine these texts" to find rapture. It astounds me that anyone would use the Olivet Prophecies to promote rapture. In Matthew 24, Mark13 and Luke 21 the apostles asked; what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled? What was the first thing Christ said? Take heed lest any man deceive you. He then laid out exactly what would happen in the end of days and NOWHERE in them did he mention coming to take anyone away. Instead He told us what was expected of us during that time. But, as I said, if someone wants to believe in the rapture also be prepared in case it doesn't happen. I truthfully don't see how both can be accomplished as it sounds like an either / or situation to me....we'll see. .........Whirlwind
  8. adding a cup of oil on a 20 foot burning inferno isnt going to make any difference. I hardly think it was to upset Christians, look at the bigger picture. It has been created by Satan to promote to all children around the world that homosexuality is acceptable. I very much agree. It is apparently an agenda of hers as it is of so many others. .........Whirlwind
  9. Exodus 22:18 Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. Deuteronomy 18:10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, 11.Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard or a necromancer. 12.For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee. There are other scriptures about witchcraft but those let us know how God feels about it. I'm sure you already know those about homosexuality. It can't be a good thing to give these books to our children when it is about something so against what God teaches. Rowling weaves a story where some see good things in it. That sounds a great deal like the serpent in the garden! So.....I, as you, question why they are addictive, "for some strange reason." Why have those books so captured people? Why do some children stay up all night reading them when they never liked to read before? Why would parents buy and condone these books when God is so against what the book is about? Why has Rowling become so wealthy in such a short time? Would the books have been so accepted if she, at the beginning, stated what she did about the character being homosexual? What do you think she will do in the next book....how much farther away from God will she take it? Does anyone really believe those books are worth all of that? Strange indeed! It is, as you said, a choice everyone makes on their own but it does concern me. .........Whirlwind
  10. My understanding of Daniel and Revelation tells me that the anti-christ and Satan are one and the same. The anti-christ, which is instead-of-christ, is just a role Satan plays. He pretends to be Him....he is the instead-of-christ. I believe we will all be here through the tribulation of Satan. Paul tells us: 11 Thessalonians 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto Him, 2.That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter, as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3.Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition. 4.Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the Temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. So....Satan is sitting in Jerusalem playing like he is God and Christ is telling us that we do not gather back to Him until after the apostasy "falling away" and until after that "man of sin be revealed"....and that doesn't happen until His second Advent. For that reason we should know who he is and what he plans to do or we might join the rest of the world and mistakenly worship him. ...........Whirlwind
  11. Sweety Cakes, I'm surprised at you. It is good to see that so much of Diana's genes took part in the looks of the two boys (although it appears Prince William is begining to lose some of his hair, like his father)......they are attractive children though. .........Whirlwind
  12. Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. The reason his coming will fool so many is that he comes pretending to be Christ....and he will "deceive the whole world." It isn't pointless at all but imperative that we know some things about him so we won't be included in that number. He will pretend to be Christ, will preceed the advent of the true Christ and is coming for Christians: Rev.12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Be prepared because he'll be very, very good at what he does. .......Whirlwind
  13. I heard that this morning. I read the first book and couldn't understand the fascination with it but there is, what I believe, some type of strange, weird hold that book has on children. My grandchildren read it and I know I must sound like an old "fuddy-duddy" to them but I try to hint at why it isn't a good thing. I'm going stronger than just hinting now. I'll read the passages about "wizards, and sorcerers," that God has written to them, along with a dose about homosexuality that we are constantly bombarded with as being so wonderful......no more Ms. Nicegal. They'll have to sit and listen and I pray I get through. Thank you for posting this. Whirlwind
  14. I don't understand the "unknown" part. Acts 2:3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4.And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. 5.And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. 6.Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. When they spoke everyone, no matter what language or from what nation, understood them.....it was not unknown to them. Therefore I believe that the "unknown" means the language was unknown to the speaker, a language he had never spoken in before. Shouldn't we be able to understand whatever someone speaking in tongues is saying? Isn't that the point of tongues? When and why has it become something that no one can understand? What am I missing?
  15. One thing you can consider is the following scripture: 1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: 19.By which also He went and preached unto the spirits in prison, 20.Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. I believe this scripture tells us that after His crucifixion, while His body was in the tomb, He preached to those that were in prison (their souls were not saved). In doing this He offered them the same grace He offers us. ........Whirlwind
  16. 2 Peter 3 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. The "new" heavens and earth here have the same description as before....it means to be rejuvenated, refreshed, renewed. It's the same earth but put back to it's original purity. It is speaking about the birth of a new age - the third one. From reading a few of the things you have written I see that you believe in rapture. I don't. I believe we will be here when He arrives at His second Advent....however, when He arrives we are all changed into our spirit bodies so we won't experience the change that takes place. We won't feel all evil things being consumed. Again, this "new heaven and earth" are the renewed ones....the third age but the same earth. No, they are very different floods. Peter is talking about two separate creations. Allow me to add another scripture for you to consider: Jeremiah 4:22 For My people is foolish, they have not known Me; they are sottish children and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge. 23.I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was (this should be became) without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. (It became void but God created it to be inhabited) 24.I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. 25.I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. (This was NOT the flood of Noah. Here there was NO man and NO birds.) 26.I beheld, and lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by His fierce anger. (there were cities in that first age) 27.For thus hath the LORD said, "The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end. He wanted salvation to come forth and in this age we must all make a spiritual decision on who we follow.....this is the reason for this second age. ........Whirlwind
  17. it's on the first page of this section: "Why the Gospels Make it Clear the Genesis Account Is Literal" Thank you....I just read it. I must say though, I believe the Genesis account is quite literal. I have for the last few years but I don't believe most understand everything written therein. So...I agree with you that God tells us exactly what happened but I believe that includes an age before our present one. I found the following quote from the link most interesting:
  18. Sorry...I can't get there from here. Lately when I click on a provided link my computer freezes up (not always but often and it did in this case too.) I tried to paste in the link and search....but it didn't go anywhere. So I'm afraid I can't get to your argument. I don't believe I am force fitting millions of years into scripture as the scriptures themselves tell us the story. I believe in His word implicitly. I could be wrong but I don't agree with you about God destroying the current universe. We will go into a new age but it is the same universe, the same earth. Revelation 21:5 And He That sat upon the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He said unto me, "Write: for these words are true and faithful." New - Strong's #2537 ~ kainos of uncert. aff.; new (espec. in freshness; while 3501 is prop. so with respect to age - new It sounds as if the earth will be rejuvenated, refreshed.....put back as it was when it was created.
  19. I believe Christ answered this Himself. We know that He is the Word. He came in the volume of the Book.....and He told us: Mark 13:23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things. All things about God's kingdom, that He wishes us to know, are written and if one claiming to be a prophet tells us things that don't align with His Word then that one is a false prophet. .........Whirlwind
  20. yzf-r1 I don't disagree that it was spiritual. Everything will be spiritual in that third age. I believe the world is much older than folks believe is written in the Bible. In 2 Peter 3:6-7 we have a definite statement that there was a social world before Adam, which is called, "the world that then was." The Greek word for world is "Cosmos," meaning social system. This social order had to be before this one we now know, or it could not be called "the social order that then was." That it was one which existed before Adam is clear from the next statement about "the heavens and the earth, WHICH ARE NOW." The two statements prove there were two separate social systems on earth. One was BEFORE the one WHICH IS NOW, and the other, AFTER the one THAT THEN WAS. I just don't see that there can be any dispute that the earth is ancient. I agree with you in that I don't put a great deal of validity in the dating methods used (and I say that with the disclaimer that I am in NO way a scientist it's just that the figures thrown out seem like wild guesses.) But, with that being said, tacking on an actual date of millions of years wouldn't surprise me at all. ...........Whirlwind
  21. I can tell you what I believe the scriptures tell us about this earth. There was an age before our present age, that was the age of the dinosaur. In that age Satan rebelled and God destroyed it. He destroyed the age, not earth although it was greatly shaken. Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. No where does it say when this happened, just in the beginning. 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void, and darkness was upon the face fo the deep The word "was" is thought to have been mistranslated and should be "became" and is footnoted as such in some modern bibles. God did not create the world void as He tells us: Is.45:18 For thus saith the LORD That created the heavens; God Himself That formed the earth and made it; He hath established it, He created it not in vain, He formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else Then we come to the second half of verse 2: 1:2 And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3.And God said, "Let there be light: and there was light. When the Spirit of God moved....that began the first day of this age. So, the scriptures agree with the part of science that tells us this earth is ancient. I don't know how old that is but it is much more than the 6,000 years some believe. There are other scriptures that point to that time and if you are interested I would be happy to list them for you. I believe completly in the Word of God. It is truth but some of the truths are deep in the verses. One of the verses that really hit home with me about this subject is found in: 11 Corinthians 12:2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. Paul tells us that there is a third heaven, the next age. If the next age is the third then we must be in the second age and if there is a second age....there was a first age! This earth is very old and that does not disagree with Father's Word. ...........Whirlwind
  22. because he claims to be the Messiah two horns like a lamb and performs miracles...keep in mind the Jews are still waiting for the Messiah to arrive the first time, and many of them will buy into the deception anyone claiming to be the Messiah would need to be a Jew, and perform miracles in Israel I agree. I thought you meant there was another reason he had to be Jewish. Thank you for the clarification. At times I have wondered, as "the whole world" will be deceived. If he, with his supernatural abilities, will appear as each religions idea of their promised one. However, seeing as he comes in such a visible way while performing miracles.....everyone should be taken in even if he appears as Christ and not the one they have worshippped. .........Whirlwind
  23. Thank you for your reply. I believe we are thinking in the same vein. My understanding of Revelation is that the first beast is a political system while the false prophet, is a role Satan plays, pretending to be Christ (or anti-christ). Both those powers, or roles, are thrown in the lake of fire. So...although Satan will be released again, at the end of the millennium, he will never have the same power he has in this age. Actually, I see we aren't thinking alike after all. I went back to your previoius post: You see the first beast as the anti-christ while I see it as a political system. You see two different entities....the anti-christ and Satan while I see only one....Satan as anti-christ. Gosh, sifting through Daniel and Revelation is like being interviewed by Chris Matthews.....you can get a head full of oatmeal for brains before the night is over. I'll keep sifting and hopefully come up with a clearer understanding. ............Whirlwind
  24. My understanding is that the "first beast" is a one world political system that brings in a false peace, is wounded (people no longer believe in it) but is healed by Satan. He uses that system. The second beast is, as you stated, a religious beast....the false prophet, Satan masquerading as Christ. My question to you is, why do you believe he will be a Jew? He will certainly be pretending to be one as he comes as Christ but what was your reasoning? ...........Whirlwind
  25. I never realized that. Isn't it odd how assumptions can take over? But....didn't John refer to the anti-christ, just by another name? Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. If this was the deceiver then isn't he also the anti-christ? ...........Whirlwind
