  1. well I guess you could say I'm into crafts...I make and sell jewelry...does that count?
  2. You made an interesting point! while one might think that anyone bringing a case like this to court would be fighting a loosing battle, you have to first look at it as a trick of the devil. I say this because he is going to make it harder, and harder for us, (CHRISTians) to witness to the lost. They will be able to take us to court because we have offended them by telling them what GOD has commanded us say in order for us to win souls for CHRIST. WE NEED TO PRAY!!! <---This will not due!
  3. I'm glad to hear that someone is rejecting this as a valid lifestyle, and I pray that other theatre owners will follow the same example.
  4. Excuse me, but I wasn't the one bragging about my intelligence as you did in my original thread. I was asked why I didn't believe in the Bible and gave a sample, which was a sincere question and hardly deserving of such an arrogant response. I'm not trying to be mean but, I really don't know what you want us to say! I'm trying to understand why you're even here, in a CHRISTian chat room sharing YOUR beliefs, when you already know that we disagree. I don't think anyone minds witnessing to you, to encourage you to Repent of your sins, to receive The LORD JESUS into your heart as your personal Savior, and then tell you to study the WORD of GOD, by reading the BIBLE. What I hope is that GOD has drawn you here through HIS HOLY SPIRIT to give you the opportunity to turn your life around by excepting HIS Son JESUS into your heart. Other than that what do you want us to say?!
  5. Hi George, I'm praying for you along with the other worthychat members. GOD bless you!
  6. I would hope that CHRISTians would write/call and complain to get it off the market.
  7. Well, while I would not refer to JO as not being a man of GOD, I will say however, that the reason his church is so full is because he does not preach the full Gospel. He's too busy trying to be polite! He "touches" on the subject of salvation, and sin without really getting deep into either subject, and I agree that he would make a great MOTIVATIONAL speaker.
  8. Hi, Our church recognizes our youth, in fact they have their own department, a monthly service, and even a Youth Convention which I think is very good. The problem I have with the Youth is that they don't give the same respect they want to their Elders. They are very disrespectful of the adults, yet when you approach them, they are always saying things like, "Why are you disrespecting me?" They don't want to follow directions, yet they want to give orders, even though most of time they don't even know what they are doing. I'm not saying that this is true for all young people, but it is true of many. What they fail to realize is, when they become adults they will get the same treatment from the kids that are coming behind them. I definitly think the Youth should be recognized, but I also know that they have to be willing to meet us half way.
  9. I think the point of the movie was to show people how much more of a mess the world would be in if we had GOD'sl power in our hands. I can't say I cared for much of the movie, however, I did love the part when Jim Carey's character crys out to GOD, after he realizes that GOD knows what's best for him, and then surrenders his life to HIM.
  10. German cardinal elected new pope Joseph Ratzinger is Pope Benedict XVI Tuesday, April 19, 2005 Posted: 1:51 PM EDT (1751 GMT) Cardinal Jorge Arturo Medina Estevez of Chile made the announcement to a cheering crowd in St. Peter's Square. Ratzinger, who took the name Benedict XVI, appeared on the balcony of the Vatican Basilica to greet the people and deliver his first papal blessing. "Dear brothers and sisters, after our great pope, John Paul II, the cardinals have elected me, a simple, humble worker in God's vineyard," according to a translation of remarks he made in Italian. "I am consoled by the fact that the Lord knows how to work and how to act, even with insufficient tools, and I especially trust in your prayers. "In the joy of the resurrected Lord, trustful of his permanent help, we go ahead, sure that God will help. And Mary, his most beloved mother, stands on our side." Once the archbishop of Munich, Germany, and for many years prefect of the Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith, Ratzinger, 78, was one of the most powerful men in the Vatican and is widely acknowledged as a leading theologian. Ratzinger served for 20 years as John Paul II's chief theological adviser. As a young priest he was on the progressive side of theological debates but shifted to the right after the student revolutions of 1968. In the Vatican, he has been the driving force behind crackdowns on liberation theology, religious pluralism, challenges to traditional moral teachings on issues such as homosexuality, and dissent on such issues as women's ordination. The dean of the College of Cardinals since November 2002, he was elevated to cardinal by Pope Paul VI in June 1977. (Profile) White smoke, bells Earlier, white smoke rose from a Sistine Chapel chimney and bells rang Tuesday, signaling the selection of a new pope. The crowd clapped and waved flags as the smoke began to billow over Vatican City about 5:50 p.m. (11:50 a.m. ET). Suspense built as the throng waited for the symbolic ringing of bells, at which point the crowd broke into a roar of jubilation. Let's pray for The CHURCH as a whole, and ALL of its Leaders!
  11. Ayin Jade, AMEN!!! That's my point exactly!
  12. Hi IreneM, It's not necessary for any "broo ha ha" to get started, i just want to give us a little something to think about. Thanks so much for responding! ConCo
  13. I think the Church, should pray that the Cardinals choose the right person to replace Pope John Paul II, even though the Pope will mainly rule over the Catholic Church, he would also have a great impact on other parts of the world. Many have said that who ever is chosen as the new Pope will have big shoes to fill, and I agree, but not because he would following in the foot steps of Pope John Paul II, but because the new Pope will need to follow in the foot steps of JESUS, and this is no easy task, BUT, with GOD's help, it can be done.
  14. Hello Fellow Worthychat Members, It was hard for me to believe what happened to Teri Schiavo. I just can't understand how the courts could agree with her husband to allow her feeding tube to be removed. How do you justify starving someone to death??? To me that's MURDER, but I guess it's just another sign of the times. If anyone of us owned an animal, and it was found out that we did not feed it, or take proper care of it, we could be arrested. I've seen Animal Police on cable that go to people's home and either fine, or arrest them for mistreating an animal. Shouldn't human life be much more important? It's a very sad day when if someone gets tired of you they can just let you die.
