  1. So are you saying that the Perfect One is not Jesus because He is a man, or male? Because yes He took the form of man, He first was Spirit. All I am trying to say is that Jesus is I believe to be the Perfect One and we can't say He isn't because He is male. That would be limiting who God is to our earthly realm. This is a direct quote from the person who started this topic. The word perfect comes from the Greek word teleios which means to complete, i.e. accomplish, finish, fulfil, make perfect. It is also a neuter gender word which means it is neither male nor female. This rules out Jesus being referred to here or the church as the church is female.(bride of Christ)
  2. The Holy Spirit is said to be our helper which is also what Eve was created for. So why don't we say that the Holy Spirit is female. And also apart of the Trinity which is One. I believe King of Kings is primarily an authority term not a gender term. Also, when our bodies are resserected it will be in perfect form, not like now. So how do we know we will have a gender at that time. It also says we are the Bride of Christ. That means men are brides as well. When bride in earthly terms is used it is female only. But in the spirit it isn't about gender it is about position.
  3. I think we cannot really represent the ideal fulness until we are married and the marriage allows us to become one with each other. When we become one with each other then in that oneness we can represent the ideal. I think singleness will have its compensations though. (That may stop the rocks but I bet it don't!) johnp I brought this up earlier with Adam and Eve so I am glad to see that you agree with me. It isn't about one gender, because Jesus is bigger then gender.
  4. It appears to me that you have an anthropomorphic view, and are attributing human characteristics to God who is beyond humanity. The Word says that Adam was created from the dust of the earth, meaning his flesh. His spirit is what came from the heart of God, that is His image in us. There is danger in saying God is like man because then you almost say that Adam himself was a God. And then human kind is the center of the universe. But back to the subject. This is about who is the Perfect One. Spirits have no gender unless we put human characteristics on them. Our flesh will never be perfect but our spirit is what is made perfect. So Jesus in Sprit is the Perfect One.
  5. I think this is the same for those who lash out. There are many who are saved who truely do not understand true love and forgiveness. You can not give what you do not have. Many christians do not understand the unconditional love of the Lord. So it doesn't just go for the lost. Any time I see another believer act in that manner I see a person who does not know the love of the Lord.
  6. Please hear me on this, I am NOT trying to make this a male verses female thing. I am only trying to point out that Jesus was there at creation and that we are all made in His image. When we say the Perfect One is gender neautral we have to be willing to look at it being Christ Himself because how male and female are created in Christ image. This means we all represent the fullness of who God is. We are trying to figure this out in an earthly manner when in all reality God thinks and IS bigger then how we try to limit things. He does not think in, nor opperate in gender thinking.
  7. So Jesus has only the form of flesh and not Spirit? So does this mean we keep our earthly form in heaven? Yes He was resurrected in bodily form but Jesus is more than flesh He is a Spirit. Why would we ask Jesus in our hearts if He only took the form of flesh. Yes His flesh may be male but the Spirit of Jesus has no gender.
  8. Jumping in late but I would like to throw this out there. Genesis 1: 26 Then God said, "Let Us (us meaning the trinity) make man in Our image, according to Our likeness verse 27 So God created man in His own image;in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Mark 10:6 At the begining of creation God "made them male and female". I only bring this up because the Word says we are all created in His image. So how can you say God (Jesus) in heavenly form is male only? Christ was there at time of creation and we all were made in His image. So are only men made in the image of Christ? Because this is what you are saying when you say the Perfect One is not gender neautral. You are saying that women are not also created in the image of Christ because He is not also woman. When Jesus came to earth in human form he had to be male or female because that is how it is done on earth, but not in heaven. He is no longer in human form, so this makes him neither male nor female. Hope I make sense.
  9. I have learned much about dreams from the Lord. There are many times he has given me prophetic dreams but I also used to have very weird dreams. So I started to pray this way. Confusion is not from the Lord. So I pray that if I have a dream that is just filled with confusion then I realize it's source is not from God. But we can have dreams that are very vivid and just not know the meaning....yet. Pray over this dream and ask yourself was it all blury so to say and just confusing, or was it very clear and you remember details. Also, if the Lord is warning you of something you have to make sure and recognize it may not be this guy. It may be a spirit. The enemy comes to steel, kill and destroy. Obviously this mans intent was to steel something and any time you see that you know who is actually behind it, satan. Then the word says I have not given you a spirit of fear but of power and of sound mind. Did you wake up fearful? When the Lord warns me of something I don't get fearful but serious which then is when I operate in the power He has given me. When the Lord reveals a truth it does not follow with fear. Also, some times if it is a prophetic dream His intent is to reveal it to you. I have received the interpertation to a dream sometimes a week or two later. I have nearly forgotten the dream and then the Lord statrs to talk to me about it and what its meaning is. So I believe this is what you have to ask yourself because no one can answer this for you. What was in your spirit after the dream? What fruit was left behind? Was it fear? Or was it a sense of direction to where you may be concerned but confident. Does this help any?? I hope I am making sense.
  10. Better yet, if you can't afford to get an internet filter, then trash the computer. Nothing is more important than Jesus and obeying Him. I'm in agreement here! Well you have no money try selling your computer. That will help solve two problems. Alcoholics have to be willing to go through the house and get rid of all the liquor. It's just as serious, get rid of every stumbling block until you are strong enough to fight it yourselves. Once you have gotten rid of it all find your self an acountability partner. Somone who is willing to get in your face and get real with you, because they love you. Try a pastor or someone from church. Yes you may of been hurt in relationships in the past but that is the past and you have to deel with where you are now. The Lord offers His help through His body. If you don't let His body help, then ultimately you aren't letting the Lord help you. All you need to do is go to one person.
  11. Not a problem. We all even as Christians still operate in forms of unbelief. If we didn't then we would never walk in fear. So if you have ever feared anything then you are not "believing" His Word that says,' fear not for I am with You.' There are many more things that I could list that are connected to unbelief. But there is a diference in living a life in unbelieving, never excepting Christ. And then a Christian who doesn't know really know how good their Daddy is. I hope I am not making this confusing. Sorry if I am. There is a diference in habitual sin and sin. Yes lieing is a sin, but it is the habitual liars who will go to hell. Just as the person who is habitual in their unbelieving. A Christian who walks in unbelief when they are new in the Lord will not go to hell for their occasions of unbelief. Does that make any sense???
  12. Jumping in late, sorry. I think the guilt of a lie would be easier to deal with then the guilt of loosing your whole family because you told a dishonest man, with evil intensions the truth of the where abouts of your family. Which is worse, telling the intruder the truth or protecting your family? Is not a husband to cover his wife? How would it be covering her when you lead an evil man to her? Just my thoughts.
  13. Wow! I'm a newbie and it is odd to see this from one year ago. I guess Worthy Boards has been in a constant state of growth. Everyone just needs to be aware. Thanks for bringing this one back up.
  14. Jesus Himself always quoted scritpure.
  15. I hate to use the word cliques......but since you did.. :oww: Actually, just sometimes people get in a place of being comfortable the way things are. Regulars like what they have and "newbies" so to say just want to be apart. I find this happening all the time in churches and it seems that this may be happening a bit here. I could be wrong though. It has been known to happen a time or two.
  16. Yep, this is what I meant. I kept thinking I must be a very poor communicator. I was thinking that here at Worthy Boards there seems to be growing pains. Not just the mods either, everyone who had been here for a long time. Naomi
  17. Amen! Demons would manifest all the time when Jesus came around. It wasn't because He was evil but that He carried the Annointing to set the captives free! I personally have been a sceptic. My husband would start laughing and I would get so embarrassed. I would honestly say to myself I wish he would shut up. Lord forgive me. (this was nothing but pride on my part) Then a couple of months ago it changed for me. The pastor was preaching about how people like their bodage. They actually walk around with this ball and chain around their neck thinking they look so good. Immediately the Holy Spirit revealed to me how I was prideful but I thought it made me look good. I was set free and started laughing. I could not stop! I saw the weight I had been carrying around but then I was set free in an instance. If you can not laugh for joy when you are set free from bondages then maybe you aren't really free. I think it is funny that we are more comfortable with depression then joy. The Lord is restoring His people. Naomi
  18. We have had the honor to be on staff and in leadrship at some churches and there always seems to be alot of fires start in growth. My husband is always talking to me about the 200 mark in churches. Apparently (not all) but many churches when they hit this mark, some people start getting uncomfortable. They actually liked the size they were and don't want to grow because other people may come and threaten the position they currently hold. People start inwardly thinking this is my church and what is happening to it. And new pepole come looking for a place to plug in. With growth there does come change. The pastor then has to preach alot about being the body and that is not about an individual. It seems to me that there are growing pains going on here. We are the body, new or old. Could it be that here at Worthy Boards maybe it is hitting a mark to where growth is a bit uncomfortable? If so, since we ALL make the Body what are some ideas as how we can make the growth easier? (I am looking for positive feed back only) :il: Because obviously growth does not just efeect George and all the mods. I am new here but I want to be a supply and a help. What are ways new and old members cab be aware of each other? I ask this question honestly in hopes to get insite for myself. I am always at church wanting to be aware of what was going on before I came. Typed with much love. Naomi

    ???????????

I agree with Called. Another scripture that has really helped me is this: Phil. 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. Too often we think we are "behind" schedule so to say, but know your not. The Lord has got you in the palm of His hand and His Word promises to finish His work in you. It just doesn't always happen as quick as we would like. I have also noticed in my own life some times I am "working" so hard to fix an issue in my life when He is working on another. get in tune with the Lord, let His perfect work be done in your life. Hope this helps. Naomi
  20. Jerimiah 29:11-13 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, Thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. First off remember the Lord loves you and His plans for you are for your good. He is waiting with open arms. Many times when we stray we think the Lord wont recieve us back but He will. Be honest with Him, seek Him with ALL your heart and His Word promises that He will be found by you!. Praying that you find your peace in Him. Naomi
  21. I have been where you are, more than once even. It is a hard season to be in but remember it is only a season. There are many things I have learned being in those seasons though. God wants you all to Himself first. When I begin to put things before Him or even other people before Him, He then will lead me through the desert. There I find I can do nothing without Him. The Lord leads us through these seasons for a reason and the quicker we realize it the quicker we go through the desert. The Lord will allow you to feel alone to maybe remind you He is always there and He will never forsake you. I think sometimes our focus gets shifted and He just tries to bring us back in complete communion with Him. Hope this helps. This is just my own personal experience. Naomi
  22. Why do you ask this question? Naomi
