  1. I can kind of relate (in that I know younger girls whom i care very much about, sisterly, who have had sex with older guys). It makes me sick and angry at the guy, and very sad for her. It's not because I envy the relationship the guy and the girl have, but more that I abhore it. How could he do something like that to her; how could she let him? Does she understand? The loss (or destruction) of innocense is a very, very hard thing to deal with (most people in situations justify it to themselves through lies, or some other means; drugs, cutting etc) especially when it's someone of whom you care a great amount for. Usually it stems from lack of self image/self esteem. They don't feel they are good enough, or that he is better, etc... Feelings of love are not easily changed, but in this case I suggest you change them. Love her as a sister, but nothing more because as someone else said she will probably hurt you very badly (as she already has once). It would probably be worth taking the time to explain to her how what she did makes you feel, and why you think she shouldn't have. However in the end you should respect her decision, and try to help her self image/self esteem (no offense but as I said before these problems arrise from not accepting yourself, etc...). God Bless, Sam

Some of that is pretty rediculous, and the ACLU isn't exactly the best thing at times, however they do some good. A lot of what you mentioned appears to be seperation of church and state, perfectly legit (although a bit over reactive, but still). The other complaints deal with homosexuality and pornography are just your personal views. They are trying to (I think...) support free speach. The only issue I would have is with child pornography. You shouldn't need filtering systems for your children if you raise them properly (to an extent). They will understand it is wrong and that you do not wish them to see it. If you claim they are going to be tempted, then so be it. By removing blocking this temptation you are hurting them in that you aren't teaching them to fight temptation. Just my thoughts on the matter. God Bless, Sam
  3. Wow! That is a very interesting theory 2bba . God Bless, Sam
  4. If you feel comfertable, invite someone who is lonely to join you for some of the holidays, get them a gift, make them feel welcome (this is key; if you don't they will most likely sink deeper into depression ). Also, be availible; give them your number and let them know that any time they can call it if they need help. Another good hotline (for suicide) is 1.800.SUICIDE (1.800.784.2433 - http://www.hopeline.com/). I think these people exist for a good cause and they have people who are trained to deal with someone who is suicidal. As Leonard pointed out if try to get them to go to Church. You should probably go with them the first time as you suggested it, and if they go alone they are more likely to feel isolated because they don't know anybody. Last but not least, learn how to spell unlike me . Sam
  5. Regardless of what God does for you, do something for yourself and get away from him. You have forgiven him and he has been disloyal repeatedly. It might be harder to be alone (at least in this aspect) because of the holidays. I am really sorry to hear it went like this (I will try to pray for you but I forget a lot of stuff ). Sam
  6. First, it has some discrepencies in certain parts. Anyway's you two (dnd and nebula) need to break that up. You are 100% off topic (and I'M TELLING YOU...). So maybe if you tried discussing the matter at hand. Tess, much appreciated. I will probably only read the first (most of my money goes towards future life together or college..., sorry). The library seems like a good source from which to obtain those as well. Later guys. God Bless
  7. Hrm Tess, someone decided to pull a blitzkrieg on my account so I have like 0 priviges (Spelling maybe?). So if you could post your list I would much appreciate it.
  8. And a closed mind is ignorance. There is not problem with changing your mind as long as you stick with your beliefs (although people change those once or twice in their lifetime, but that is usually a different story). Anyway, the gyst I am getting from most of you is that I'll mess her up, however the majority (maybe all) of you who say that are intolerant (and more, but yeah...) so I am not going to listen to you. I will probably read that book (thanks God-man and Tess. Also as Dr. Luke pointed out, UndecidedFrog, very well said; thanks to you four very much. -Sam PS: Dr. Luke, get on YIM more plzzz!!! I like talking to you .
  9. All right, so the description has nothing to do with anything except pirates, however, I have a slightly more serious topic of discussion. My girlfriend (fiance in about... 4/5 weeks), is Christian. As of now, I am athiest (and may continue to remain as such), however this causes a slight conflict. I have no problem with believing in God, but I am not a big fan of organized religion in general, or the Church Doctrines, etc. Anyway, I feel that the kids should be exposed to an assortment of beliefs and be allowed to choose their own instead of being brainwashed from an early age. She would like them to go to Church exclusively, etc from an early age. What are your thoughts (namely of those you who are less indoctrinated)? Is there a possible coexistance of both (after all the pagan religions and christianity coexisted for a long time together, why not anymore?)? -Sam
  10. Yes. The problem is two parted. The terrorists being there is a part of the problem, however 100% of the responsability of a rampant goverment is the public. The fact that people voted for Bush is moot at this point, there is are not enough people saying no to things like the Patriot Act (1 & 2). The goverment is touting that going against the Patriot Act is going against peace, justice, right, our very country, and sadly people are listening; possibly even intimidated. Just my thoughts, thanks for the article.
  11. I see you guys saying what god's will is, but if god is this omnipotent, perfect being, how could you possible comprehend his will.
  12. The major problem with IE right now is not viruses and all that (although there are a fair number of abitrary code execution flaws), but phishing. IE allows for people to phish like crazy and catch the unsuspecting and unknowing.
  13. Lol, jew yes, black no, goth no. There are plenty of people that claim it to be rebelling :| and like you said people emulating singers and taht crap. I know all people aren't like that because I know plent of gothic people that aren't at all. Anyway, being yourself is always better than being someone else . Don't let them get to you eh? 14. Wait until your a black, gothic, jew, that lives in/around Illinois/Kansas (KKK HQ), then you're in for it . Anyway, a lot of people are goth because they are "rebelling"... Go figure that half the school is dressed like that, to be different (you've probably heard it before, no offense intended). That gymnastics stuff is messed up, although it does depend on the age, but I'm guessing like 15-16 ish. To each their, more people should respect that.
