    Shalom Marci,
I'm glad you made it onto the Forums.
Here are some passages for you to look over.

John 16:33 King James Version (KJV)
33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Romans 8:36-37 King James Version (KJV)
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
John 15:18-21 King James Version (KJV)
18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.
Acts 14:22 King James Version (KJV)
22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
    2 Timothy 3:11-12
11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
So the question is how do we overcome?

    1 John 4:4
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
    1 John 5:4-5
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
    I hope this helps you,
    God bless,
    George

The first thing you can do -- is add 7 days to your request to extend it.  So if it's still active ... go ahead and extend your request.
The second question is -- you can always add a praise report to any request(s) if they have been answered ... or in the midst of being answered.

Honestly, it's about renewing your mind -- off the things of this world -- and onto the things of God!
Rom 12:1  I beseech you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service.
Rom 12:2  And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is that good and pleasing and perfect will of God.
2Co 10:3  For though walking about in flesh, we do not war according to flesh.
2Co 10:4  For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds,
    2Co 10:5  pulling down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought into the obedience of Christ;
2Co 10:6  and having readiness to avenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
Part of fighting the good fight of faith, is taking every thought captive!  It's not sinning to be "tempted" -- it is when you entertain that temptation and then it manifests into sin.
Jas 1:14  But each one is tempted by his lusts, being drawn away and seduced by them.
Jas 1:15  Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin. And sin, when it is fully formed, brings forth death.
Rom 6:12  Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.
Rom 6:13  Do not yield your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but yield yourselves to God, as one alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
    God bless,
    George
  12. George's post in Counting The Days was marked as the answer
The Jewish calendar is based on a LUNAR cycle which is technically 354 days in a year -- but the modern Jewish calendar is based on the 360-day prophetic cycle.  The Jewish calendar every few years to add an extra month - 2nd Adar to realign itself with the solar cycle.  The Gregorian calendar is based on the 365 day SOLAR cycle.  So that's why you have divergences.

Instead of searching for televangelists -- look for GREAT churches and watch STREAM their services and sermons.    This is a much better way of finding GREAT content and messages to watch at home.

Perhaps it's best to get a Parallel Bible.  Personally, I believe a good parallel Bible combo is -- the Amplified / New King James Version.

    Elohim -- God
    YHVH -- Yahweh, or Jehovah
El Elyon -- The Most High God
    Adonai -- Lord
El Shaddai -- Lord God Almighty
El Olam -- The Everlasting God
YHVH Jireh -- The LORD will provide

All the moderators follow our Statement of Faith.  The moderators are all Biblical, so many of the issues you'd find in "progressivism" is unbiblical -- so you'd not find that within the moderation team.   I believe you'll find out that you'll find a good place of fellowship with like-minded Christians at Worthy Christian Forums!

    Shalom Kirk,
First of all, welcome to Worthy!
As soon as you've been "born again" and birthed into the Kingdom -- that cannot be "unborn" and your eternal being is within your physical being.  As 1 Peter states,
1Pe 1:20  indeed having been foreknown before the foundation of the world, but revealed in the last times for you,
1Pe 1:21  those believing in God through Him, He who raised Him up from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope might be in God.
1Pe 1:22  Purifying your souls in the obedience of the truth through the Spirit to unfeigned love of the brothers, love one another fervently out of a pure heart,
1Pe 1:23  having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the living Word of God, and abiding forever.
    God bless,
    George
  23. George's post in Life was marked as the answer
    Shalom Tasha,
First of all -- welcome to WCF!
Are you a believer in Jesus Christ?  If not, then that's the first step -- and if you'd like to know more ... simply ask!
If you are a believer, most people are never taught the fact that once you are translated from the Kingdom of Darkness to the Kingdom of Light, you've gained a new enemy of your soul that wants to "rob, kill and destroy you!"
I often read this passage in Peter as it says,
1Pe 5:7  Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
1Pe 5:8  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
First Peter describes the very enemy of our souls -- as a lion seeking whom he may devour!
1Pe 5:9  Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
1Pe 5:10  But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
Notice that believers as they come to faith -- they experience trials and tribulations -- a test so to speak -- but those trials are working for your good -- to make you perfect -- to establish and strengthen and settle you!
I know it's a difficult thing to hear, but you're now at war with spiritual forces of darkness and the way to overcome is through and in Him!
1Co 15:57  But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
This verb in Greek -- gives -- is a active verb which could be translated this way --  who gives us a continually and abiding victory!
Most believers never claim their victory -- it's not in who they are -- but in WHO HE IS!  Walk in His Victory -- in Him, and you'll soon discover the meaning of what Jesus' said when he said, "Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask away,
    God bless,
    George
  24. George's post in Swearing in a song was marked as the answer
One of the greatest assets we have is our conscience!  As we get closer to the Lord our conscience heightens as our mind becomes more and more like the mind of Christ!  You've already answered your own question ... as your conscience is conflicted within you!
  25. George's post in Graham was marked as the answer
From the beginning of creation, God's purposes were always good ... and the end result is for good.  In the beginning, God saw -- and it was good.
Gen 1:31  And God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
Now trying to twart God's plans and purposes, was the great deceiver -- and from the beginning was trying to get mankind to disobey God -- and it continues even until now.   As the serpent deceived Eve -- and continues now -- with the same phraseology -- Has God really said?  Did Jesus really say that He is the "way, the truth and the life; and no man comes by me"?   Is the Bible true?  You see, even from the beginning until now -- is the same question from the beginning - did God really say?
And we see the end result of rejection of what God gives us --
Rev 20:14  And death and hell were cast into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death.
Rev 20:15  And if anyone was not found having been written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the Lake of Fire.
So you see that the vast multitudes of the world will be judged ... just as God said ... and thus we will find out -- Did God really mean what He said?
Now throughout time, the great deceiver has been trying to destroy the people of God, by destroying the "lineage" of the promised One -- the Messiah -- Jesus.  And so throughout the Old Testament, you will see God in His mercy to preserve the lineage of the Messiah -- as he allowed the peoples of the world to die in one fashion or another.
But soon enough, the result after hell and death -- we see once again God's purpose -- in creating what He always wanted to establish.
Rev 21:1  I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth have passed away, and the sea is no more.
Rev 21:2  I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband.
Rev 21:3  I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, “Behold, God’s dwelling is with people, and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.
Rev 21:4  He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more. The first things have passed away.”
Rev 22:1  And he showed me a pure river of Water of Life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
Rev 22:2  In the midst of its street, and of the river, from here and from there, was the Tree of Life, which bore twelve fruits, each yielding its fruit according to one month. And the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
Rev 22:3  And every curse will no longer be; but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His servants will serve Him.
Rev 22:4  And they will see His face, and His name will be in their foreheads.
Rev 22:5  And there will be no night there. And they need no lamp, or light of the sun; for the Lord God gives them light. And they will reign forever and ever.
So while some may look at the judgment of God in dealing with the nations as some sort of "evil", His thoughts are higher than our thoughts, and His ways are higher than our ways -- and the result of all He has done -- was to preserve a people for Himself.  He would go to any length to do so ... and did what was necessary to preserve the lineage of His Messiah.  In the end, we see that His plan was to send His Son to die for mankind ... to pay a debt that we could not pay for ourselves.  So while we cannot fully comprehend all that God has done or is doing, we do know that God is working out His plan ...
