  1. What a great question! Perhaps I can answer it with some questions, just like Jesus often did. Which is greater and more 'dangerous', the Spirit of God in you or any spirit in the wiccan? If you and your kids know the Truth can a lie overcome The Truth? Is your experience of God real (like the wiccan's may be of the 'spirit world') or are you 'playing church'? Did any believer in the new testament ever have a problem that they couldn't handle involving an evil spirit or someone involved in paganism? Whom are we told to fear, God or satan?
  2. I know that Bible versions is generally a hot topic but it may well be worth asking ourselves a few questions when thinking about this: 1) What version of the 'bible' did the early church use? A. They only had the Greek or Hebrew OT and then it was held by the synagogue as it was handwritten and extremely expensive. 2) When the Apostles and others spread the gospel into the non-Jewish world what scriptures did they have? A. Probably none. 3) If God can reach the whole of the known world in the lifetime of the NT apostles without the 'bible' in the way we understand it is He going to be bothered about which version you read? 4) Which is more important, what version you read or how you act upon what you read? Be blessed.
  3. Hi David, I know exactly what you mean when you say "but look totally uninvolved in the order of worship". But isn't that the problem 'order of worship'? If these same people were at a meeting at work and were not 'involved' then why would they be there in the first place? The problem with most churches is that they actually expect passivity from the 'audience'. If you were to ask a question or make a comment (assuming the meeting were small enough for you to be heard) you would be ignored or asked to be quiet. We, the church, need to be asking ourselves some serious questions about participation and 'ministry' etc.
