  1. If after commanding the devil to "depart hence" and he remains, and losses transpire because of his disobedience, do you agree there's a legal right for compensation? I've been experiencing a situation similar to the one described in the Bible 2Timothy 3:6...where certain personalities "creep into houses". I believe it's my marital estrangement that have them wishing to steal spoil. How ought a Christian respond if so overwhelmed even in their home?
  2. 1Pe_5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. Do you think this is a stage of tribulation that the Christian may face and then relax? Or do you think we endure hardship to the end?
  3. 1Th_5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Psa_103:14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust. I feel we're to identify with the former as transformation is expected, plus a new creature. 2Co_5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
  4. 1Co_2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Most, I think see it as the finance and the business and the city life. But I also see that it has aspects like the humanism and the various new age type religion that all try to find commonality etc., and even a universal consciousness which many might esteem as God. I believe the Christian faith is at difference with all that, claiming that our faith is set apart from all that, having definition. I has to be like that as it's a quality of life found no where else.
  5. Sometimes we are called the Body of Christ, other times the Bride, other times a temple, other times living stones... In other places trees of Righteousness, we're a chosen generation, a Royal Priesthood a Holy nation....? A Church... I know Paul explains the Body regarding Joints and ligaments and such, but isn't he hinting at the harmonious, complementary functioning of the church as would a human Body? How do you see it? I find some might be burdening the Lord and others by a kind of cumbersome claim to one another that seems a bit too binding. Our binding together ought to be a covenant thing imo. rather than some kind of soul tie. What are your thoughts?
  6. The verses I'm considering are these Mat 13:57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. Mat 13:58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief. Relating it to real life. It's like some who maybe knew you from young may quench you not realising that you have changed and are changing. I find a similarity that way among others.
  7. There's an ex friend of mine insisting that it's the "I". Personally I see it causing confusion as he seem to have list orientation as in being such an "I"hog he intrudes on the identity of others. This seems to be his challenge against the Christian faith. 8. There's some who suggest that becoming acquainted with the "I" and you've found God, but this sounds wrong to be as there can be intrusion in your life which is undesirable among other things.
  9. Personally I feel it's when new Hope in Christ is birthed, because at that point one's whole world becomes new.
  10. Those that are in the land of Israel today are not all Israel, I know this is a hot topic and everyone thinks that small amount of people are Gods chosen, but the fact remains God's Israel are scattered all over the world and not just sitting in that small piece of land right now. Those that sit there today are Judah their captivity or judgment is over and they are now living there mostly in apostacy where one day they will cry out to Him. When the Messiah comes He will have His angels gather all of His from all four corners of the world and we will be taken to Jerusalem to be with Him forever and we will rule with Him. We need to quit thinking of the people in the nation of Israel as Israel that God calls His own they are not all Israel. Some of Israel may be yet scattered across the world, but I learned a technicality the other day of how God said He'd bring them back "first" and then begin to cleanse them from their sinfulness based on Ezekiel 36:24-26 Eze 36:24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. Eze 36:25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. Eze 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. Just that, we're significantly to esteem, that which is gathered in Israel. Judah would return to the land first in unbelief of the Messiah and at the end of the age God would gather the scattered of Israel rejoining the two. Eze. here is speaking of the renewed covenant with Judah and Israel where He will write the laws on our hearts, its not complete yet but will be when He returns. You see I see a difference in Judah and Israel, just as the bible describes, the two 'houses' were never reunited, sure there was and probably is some of Israel mixed in with Judah right now but it is God that brings them together at His return. I see the believers in the world as Israel, there is no gentile covenant can't find a covenant of forgiveness of sins or eternal life apart from being grafted into those God calls His own and over and over again God calls His own Israel. Gentile believers are not Israel this is a mistake some make. God recognises the historical process Israel has been put through and will not have them robbed of that credit. These are called "the Israel of God" (who have and will receive Messiah). Gal 6:16 And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God. This is why Messianic Jews consider themselves a seperate work as Messiah means more to them than to gentile Christian(if I could say that for emphasis) as being the culmination of a historic process, (we gentiles don't have that same claim). This, God particularly values and calls them the "Israel of God".

We need to quit thinking of the people in the nation of Israel as Israel that God calls His own they are not all Israel. True That is essentially true, and not all that call themselves Israel today are the Israel of God. My ref. is to that people of promise in the world who God will restore when they repent and bow to the Messiah. The various Israelites in that nation today cannot be sure what tribe they are of, though many are of Judah. Today all Israelites must come to God on the same ground as the Gentiles and be saved, else they will perish in their sins. Christians have an obligation and expectation to be supportive to that little nation for the sake of their preservation 'til the Lord comes, for they are at least part of the covenant people of God. - Seriousseeker
  13. Someone once posted a topic compareing the development of America to Israel. It was interesting and I'd like to consider what they were saying. Does anyone know to post or know of these things? Regards.
  14. Hi I think I'd want to say that my soul has found assurance though a hope that doesn't disappoint, of an inclusion into an everlasting kingdom, and if they were interested they could inquire into Jesus Christ.
  15. You only have 3 options: 1) The Universe created itself from nothingness. 2) It has always existed. 3) It was created. To answer: 1) Nothing can't create anything. 2) The Universe is not eternal due to the evidence of it's ever increasing rate of expansion from the initial Big Bang event, with the farthest galaxies moving away faster than the nearest ones, and the fact it is heading toward "heat death" (energy is being converted from usable forms to unusable forms - the "Entropy Law" - processes with entropy happen, by definition, over a period of time. An infinitely old universe with entropy would now be cold and dead). Thus, as the Universe is running down, but has not yet reached that temperature polarity, it is solid proof it has not always existed. And there is zero proof for infinite regress. Stephen Hawking himself, in his lecture "the beginning of time" said, "The conclusion of this lecture is that the Universe has not existed forever. Rather, the Universe, and time itself, had a beginning in the Big Bang." So, what's left? Answer: It was created. maybe the glory of calvary sent ripples through time past and future demanding that things come into service
  16. Jesus has imputed to us His righteousness...so that means our status is righteous even as we clean up our lives
  17. What happened here? 1 Timothy 5:23 No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for your stomach's sake and your frequent infirmities. And here? Mark 2 17 When Jesus heard it, He said to them, Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance. Jesus Himself acknowledges the need for doctors. Jesus provided for everything we need for wholeness spirit, soul and body and we must learn how to recieve what's needed. Doctors do a valuable work..
  18. Hello, The Bible says as follows: 2Pe 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. The Word of Faith movement have an emphasis of teaching us to believe God for His promises, as described above hence a partaking in the divine nature. The church at large have been living far below the standard of living as described above that we're to experience and would do well to heed these valuable teachings I have personally benefited greatly from Faith teachers and thank God for them, and am wondering if others bare witness?
  19. Hi, just say, when God starts something He's faithful to complete it. Php 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
  20. To tell you the truth I didn't get this from any scripture, but I did hear it from our preacher a couple months ago in a sermon. It surely makes perfect sense to me, if you can't forgive yourself of the sins of the past and they keep coming back to haunt you, then your still dwelling in the past and not focusing on eternity. Well Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, Philippians 3:13 Yes Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Isaiah 43:18 There As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us. Psalms 103:12 Is Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. Philippians 8:9 >>>>>()<<<<< Be Blessed Beloved Love, Your Brother Joe good scriptures thanks
  21. But it still should be important to everyone here. It was the Catholics, was it not, who determined which books would appear in scripture. Hitchey, he is talking about the canonization of saints, not Scripture. The canon of Scripture was being formed long before the Catholic Church came on the scene. Paul considered Luke's Gospel to be as authoritative as the Old Testament, Peter considered Paul's writings to be Scripture, many of the New Testament epistles were circulated around the various churches such as Ephesians, for example. In addition, find that by the middle of third century, most of the books we have in the NT were considered Scriopture. The books receiving the most controversy were Heberws, 2 and 3 John, 2 Peter, and James. The councils of Hippo, Carthage and Laodecia all confirmed the current 27 books we have today in the New Testament as authoritative, before 400 AD. Thanks alot! I'm glad for having recieved this information. Where does it say that Paul considered Luke's gospel to be authoritative?
