  1. those who endure to the end will be saved

  2. 1Pe_5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. Do you think this is a stage of tribulation that the Christian may face and then relax? Or do you think we endure hardship to the end?
  3. 1Th_5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Psa_103:14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust. I feel we're to identify with the former as transformation is expected, plus a new creature. 2Co_5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
  4. 1Co_2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Most, I think see it as the finance and the business and the city life. But I also see that it has aspects like the humanism and the various new age type religion that all try to find commonality etc., and even a universal consciousness which many might esteem as God. I believe the Christian faith is at difference with all that, claiming that our faith is set apart from all that, having definition. I has to be like that as it's a quality of life found no where else.
  5. Sometimes we are called the Body of Christ, other times the Bride, other times a temple, other times living stones... In other places trees of Righteousness, we're a chosen generation, a Royal Priesthood a Holy nation....? A Church... I know Paul explains the Body regarding Joints and ligaments and such, but isn't he hinting at the harmonious, complementary functioning of the church as would a human Body? How do you see it? I find some might be burdening the Lord and others by a kind of cumbersome claim to one another that seems a bit too binding. Our binding together ought to be a covenant thing imo. rather than some kind of soul tie. What are your thoughts?
  6. The verses I'm considering are these Mat 13:57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. Mat 13:58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief. Relating it to real life. It's like some who maybe knew you from young may quench you not realising that you have changed and are changing. I find a similarity that way among others.
  7. There's an ex friend of mine insisting that it's the "I". Personally I see it causing confusion as he seem to have list orientation as in being such an "I"hog he intrudes on the identity of others. This seems to be his challenge against the Christian faith. 8. There's some who suggest that becoming acquainted with the "I" and you've found God, but this sounds wrong to be as there can be intrusion in your life which is undesirable among other things.
  9. Personally I feel it's when new Hope in Christ is birthed, because at that point one's whole world becomes new.
  10. God Bless, Psalmone.

    Your brother in Christ,

  11. Is the Ark in Ethopia?

I'm a Bible-believing Christian. I just thought these claims were interesting that's all. And if the were true at all there seemed to be a certain favour toward the Ethiopians. Because the Queen of Sheba converted somewhat as indicated here; "And the Queen said, "From this moment I will not. worship the sun, but will worship the Creator of the sun, the God of Israel. And that Tabernacle of the God of Israel shall be unto me my Lady, and unto my seed after me, and unto all my kingdoms that are under my dominion. And because of this I have found favour before thee, and before the God of Israel my Creator, Who hath brought me unto thee, and hath made me to hear thy voice, and hath shown me thy face, and hath made me to understand thy commandment." Then she returned to [her] house." http://sacred-texts.com/afr/kn/kn036.htm Jesus even mentions her favourably in the gospels. Luk_11:31 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
  12. Is the Ark in Ethopia?

Maybe God was going to redirect their focus to other things, namely the spiritual substance of the faith. Though it appears again in Revelation 11.
  13. Is the Ark in Ethopia?

Yes. That's it. If the kebra were true then they'd just be accommodating with a copy of the Ark. The Ark was hidden anyway so people mayn't have noticed. Again the Kebra says that the elders and nobles agreed to keep the matter secret too. Could it be that God was doing a hidden work through the Ethiopians? Because they said an Angel helped them carry it away.
  14. Is the Ark in Ethopia?

The Catholic Church teaches many things. Some that are extra-Biblical but relies on tradition that is not supported by Scripture. The over-emphasis or missplaced emphasis on Jesus's mother, Mary, is one of them. It might be important though. It might add something to the perspective we already have. interestingly in the Kebra Negast it sometimes refers the the Ark as "Our lady" What we are discussing is scripture, not something someone wrote. The Kebra Negast is not scripture and though it may refer to the Ark, it is still mans words, not scripture. I understand that. Though I wondered whether some scholars would consider it with less dismissal than that. It may be important, it's a little-known document and after all it concerns the lost Ark.
