  1. Spaceman that's exactly what it is. The enemy is the ruler of this world, and as more fall away from the knowledge of the truth the more control the enemy gets. God's presence brings love, peace, and joy. The enemy is here to kill, steal, and destroy. And the one things he's after is our faith. Without that it's "impossible to please God."
  2. Was no lesson learned from the Old Testament? When God's Children disobeyed they were severly chastised by God with the use of other peoples of the land. But once they repented and once more in His grace those other people were literally wiped out by the hand of God. Doesn't that speak of God's favor over His Chosen. I would not be the one to stand angainst the Jews!
  3. Isnt that still just being thankful for the good things in our lives? Can we be thankful to Him even when our lives are falling apart? Praise Him in all things? You are right in that aspect. The Word tells us to praise Him in the midst of our troubles. This scripture is so powerful because 'God inhabits the praises of His people" where God is there is no darkness. Not only does this build our faith but it pulls down the workings of our enemy. God had told the children of Isreal to march around the walls of Jerico once for 7 days and on the 7th day to march around 7 times and the walls would fall and the city would be theirs. And delivered what He had promised because they were faithful. If you know the story you know that the praisers where before the army, Not the soldiers. What the Old Covenant was for the physical the New Covenant is for the spiritual. If we praise our way thru our battles the victory will be ours. I also read your testimony. How powerful thanks for sharing it. It was a blessing. Your sister in Christ Stacey
  4. I just came back from a Bishop TD Jakes conference and he spoke on the same topic. Too many christians today are thankful for their new cars, and new homes, and large salaries. How about being thankful for our salvation, and our healings, and the well being of our children, and for His sacrafice for us. I'm thankful that My Daddy has brought me through some of the most horrific times of my life, where I knew that Icouldn't take a another step, if it hadn't had been that I knew my children needed me I would of thrown in the towel. But I have learned that with the help & power of the Holy Spirit He gives us backbones of steel. There's a fairly new song that is so powerful it says " If it hadn't been for Him Iwould never had made it!" I know that's my new anthem. Thank you Daddy for keepin me!
  5. No abuse is not from God. "If we being evil want good gifts for our children how much more God our Father wants for us." Whenever God deals with His children it is for our edification and building us up. God is a God of faith ( He speaks those things that be not as though they already are) so when He needs to discipline us it is to build our faith not tear it down. So in our walk of faith God brings us to the place He has predestined us to be in. And that is always in a forward and upward walk, not backwards and down.
