  1. Manie you are therefore ''Free indeed'' Gal.5:1.
  2. I read a story which demonstrates P.U.S.H. Pray Until Something Happens. Any one have this?? to post.
  3. ><> Just tell them where it's at. Tell them what you think & why!

  5. xs.ucsm.ac.uk/gcsere/revision/xtianpers/chper2/page2.html For those who have been abused over time (& any who need to hear this word.) ''In Christ alone'', we can chose to forgive. We know that when we say yes to any of Gods words/promting etc He will show us the next step ''on the way''. If you agree with God that it is possible: ''in Him'' to forgive, (even your abusers, ) your prayers will (as always) be answered. I pray God may bless you as He did Job. Not forgetting is a hard lesson but part of the leaning curve. & the experience can help you to bless other's. ''It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.Gal 5:1''
  6. Ok, here is the encyclopedia definition: Parachurch organizations are Christian faith-based organizations which carry out their mission usually independent of church oversight. The prefix para, is Greek for beside, or alongside. Most parachurch organizations, at least those which are normally called parachurch, are Protestant and Evangelical. Some of these organizations cater to a defined spectrum among evangelical beliefs, but most are self-consciously interdenominational and many are ecumenical. Roles undertaken by parachurch organizations include larger more national or international movements: * Evangelistic crusade associations (patterned after the Billy Graham Association) * Evangelistic and discipleship ministries (such as The Navigators, and Campus Crusade for Christ) * Music and print publishers, radio and television stations, film studios, online ministries * Study centers and institutes, schools, colleges and universities * Political and social activist groups And smaller, more localized movements: * Welfare and social services, including homeless shelters, child care, and domestic violence, disaster relief programs, food pantries and clothing closets, and emergency aid centers (such as the City Missions) * Self-help groups * Bible study groups ><> ><> Having read all this what do you think of those who don't work out of a Christian group/church/body or organisation.?????
  7. Just to help those who believe that to state that someone or some group is in the wrong place (outside of Gods grace or interest) is judgemental to say the least. In my ignorance & in my minimal level of ''this walk'',I was born again :groovy: into a cult. This body of people followed the teaching of a man. ( Think on these things!!) (There is usually a man/woman in leadership)he quite correctly ''believed'' that he had been shown that he needed to follow the passage '' (KJ) ''Come ye out & be separated.'' People followed the man who had the message. (Not unknown ''even ''in the bible.) The other leaders unfortunately raised that leader above the position God gave him. But I never heard in that group that Jesus love ME!!! & that He died that this love might be exchanged between us. N.B. This was in the time that the world that I knew was saying ''stop the world I want to get off..(early '70's!!) Who else like me, now follows someone or group of the leadership of a body or church. Who they through known history; or their faith/ trust in them, are listerning to & being led by Jesus who lives & breaths through His body ministry. Each of us is respons-able for our own walk & others. Leaders carry the greater responsibility before God. His body, his spirit is at work world wide & we don't always know where the ''wind''blows or on whom. I quite happy to answer your questions. UK- Charismatic.
  8. I read an article this morning, I think on Worthy News. I read so many. The article was on a Russian Professor that stated that America would decline and separate into 6 or 7 different countries - PAC Coast, Atlantic Coast, Northeast, Heartland, Texas, and the South. Very interesting that someone outside our country has a greater understanding than most Americans do. If america does part in a civil war which is extremely possible, who will be responsible for paying the tab? I'd say give it to the liberals since they were the ones who actually got us into this mess in the first place. The Republicans were just aiding and abetting for many shouted but no one was listening. The idea that America would turn its back on the US Constitution, the Dec of Indep., the Mayflower Compact, the bible and very specifically, THE CHIEF JUSTICE, is absurd. Is America suffering from a mental disorder? Everytime a nation turns its back on G-d - LOOK OUT! Woe in the biblical sense is about to happen. The issues surrounding WWII are the same today. Anti-semitism is on the rise. And WHO is standing by the phrase NEVER AGAIN.?! Evangelical Christians. That is who. Not even most Jews in America are doing that. THere are some christians, I hate to use that false accusation toward them, but that is what they call themselves, that physically violently state that we have to tolerate other people's behavior even when it is perverted. How absurd can that be? Perversion is not just simply homosexuality, it could also be making false accusations and false statements. It could also be standing in a place of worship and demonstrating. Why will the Evangelical Christians not take a stand and use scripture when that kind of violence or Hamas is being purported on G-d's House. Take a stand Evangelical Christians. I will make my stand with you, but I am not a christian. I cannot be since I was born a Jew. It is the only religion that requries you to be born a Jew to be a Jew as it is made very difficult to convert. You can be an Orthodox Jew who follows the teachings of an Orthodox Rabbi called Yeshua ben David. Politics and reiligion - Where shoudl christians stand? Either make your stand or plan to move out of the country. Persecution is coming or is it already here? Believe what you wish, but make your stand on biblical principles. No one can argue with time honored traditions of men AND of G-d. ><> ><> To you & other American do you know which country now holds you purse strings. Who has your country borrowed too much from. In Asia & the far east!!!!! Be ''Blessed ''!!!! your not on your own we're in the same place that you are.
  9. ><> ><> I'm none to up on U.S. politics so please bear with me. 1) Surely your joking about the separate states of the two??? 2)Or is there no bias to one side or the other.?? 3)Doesn't the leanings of conscience or history play any part in you way or choice of who you vote for?? Please tell me you fellows; what else in you life is not tainted or part of the World? ><> PLEASE check this out for the separation of government & Christianity ><> Jesus in History - Jesus Uncensored Some of you individually seem to think God has some blank areas in His scheme of things that there are some things he doesn't get involved with. 4)Please tell me you fellows; what else in you life is not tainted or part of the World? 5) Are there no Christians in you government. NOW??? Please tell me you fellows; what else in you life is not tainted or part of the World?
  10. ><> Just as Jesus broke the bread & shared it around as a gift of food given by Him to others so it is with all that He gives us ( Including gifts of the spirit & talents.they are to shared around to others for His name sake.
  11. [iJacqueline just to say I'm with you in your recognision that Jesus is alive at at work with or without us being involved, as is the Holy Spirit. I believe that you are humble & checking your thoughts & action. You are in a lonely place having the gift of Discernment, Words of knowledge with the prophetic edge. You would be wise to have a prayer partner, some one to share your thoughts & your understanding of the words etc that you get.
  12. Moe of a similar vein.--------> Luke 19:41 As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it 42and said, "If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace
  13. My Highlights & emphasis Habakkuk 1 1 The oracle that Habakkuk the prophet received. 2 How long, O LORD, must I call for help, but you do not listen? Or cry out to you, "Violence!" but you do not save? 3 Why do you make me look at injustice? Why do you tolerate wrong? Destruction and violence are before me; there is strife, and conflict abounds. 4 Therefore the law is paralyzed, and justice never prevails. The wicked hem in the righteous, so that justice is perverted. Isnt this our universal cry in these times across the nations 5 "Look at the nations and watch and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told. ---><> Time before His return. Ie now ??] 6 I am raising up the Babylonians, [Muslims & other fanatics] that ruthless and impetuous people, who sweep across the whole earth to seize dwelling places not their own. 7 They are a feared and dreaded people; they are a law to themselves and promote their own honour. 8 Their horses are swifter than leopards, fiercer than wolves at dusk. Their cavalry gallops headlong; their horsemen come from afar. They fly like a vulture swooping to devour; 9 they all come bent on violence. Their hordes advance like a desert wind and gather prisoners like sand. 10 They deride kings and scoff at rulers. They laugh at all fortified cities; they build earthen ramps and capture them. 11 Then they sweep past like the wind and go on guilty men, whose own strength is their god." Habakkuk's Second Complaint 12 O LORD, are you not from everlasting? My God, my Holy One, we will not die. O LORD, you have appointed them to execute judgment; O Rock, you have ordained them to punish. 13 Your eyes are too pure to look on evil; you cannot tolerate wrong. Why then do you tolerate the treacherous? Why are you silent while the wicked swallow up those more righteous than themselves? Habakkuk 3:16,17. 16 B. Yet I will wait patiently for the day of calamity to come on the nation invading us. 17 Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, 18 yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. Heb. 12:4-11 4 In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. 5 And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons: "My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, 6 because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son." 7 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? 8 If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons. 9Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live! 10 Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness. 11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. ><> ><> There is & has been repentance in many groups & settings is this a call to us likewise ??
  14. I know of an American hero who wears his shorts over his pants. ; ) ; ) ; )
  15. ><> ><> We thought we had.!!! How? By teaching about Him to people who had no knowledge of the Lord? I don't follow. Could you explain more about how you felt that you had grieved Him? This was a church where many including the leader was Holy Spirit filled & therefore open. but then we spoke into their traditions & culture. I see. You thought that you had been too bold and presuming with them, is that right? I am not sure if that would mean that you had grieved the Holy Spirit, as often we do feel very brotherly toward those who are Spirit-filled and as a rule very open. Being too open may have been the problem, but God would mitigate any potential harm, I do believe! However if you feel that way, then the discipline of the Lord is your guide. ><> Yes you got it. thanks.
  16. You apparently know more than any of the dim bulbs in Washington, kross. Our government's meddling with the markets is one of the main reasons we will be in this mess for years. (Think of the bailouts for the auto and airline industries, then major banks.) I am waiting to see some Senators indicted......pressure needs to be applied unrelentingly on Congress until this happens. ><> ><> Same over here in the UK the banks ''gave'' money to those who couldn't handle it gambling on the lives of the weaker population. Mamon is very tempting & easily worshiped.
  17. ><> ><> We thought we had.!!! How? By teaching about Him to people who had no knowledge of the Lord? I don't follow. Could you explain more about how you felt that you had grieved Him? 18. I believe that acknowledging the Holy Spirit releases Him to do His work . I was in a Communist country, it was suggested (1994 ) that we told the youth group; in the building 12ft. from the church building, what was happening in the UK church. We told them all about the movement of the Holy Spirit that time. We were told after the event that those people had a totally different view of a spirits, who they saw as mischivious &/or damaging humans. But we prayed repenting for forgiveness & some years later we heard that there had be a moving of the Holy Spirit amongst them; that they had come alive. A battle won in us & in Christ.
  19. We have to accept the unconditional love & grace of God as our grand children do of us. Accepting as children do, not trying to work it out or rationalising it. Children like to use the name Daddy, Grandma, Mummy, Granddad they enjoy saying the names & are proud to know the name & person. Jesus loves us to call on His name(nature) & to relate to Him. He is not our Grandfather but Father. Do children know they are loved or do they just accept?? They certainly know when they are not.!! He says follow my rule & commands but not ''or else''. Human parents love (usually ) conditionally, they expect or even demand obedience. God says obedience is better than sacrifice but loves us unconditionally. There are no happy disobedient children naturally or spiritually. Grace abounding
  20. The example of that phrase being true for once. :shade: Even here we have to do it IN FAITH.---------> We had an elder (one of four) who constantly took us to the ''edge''. Where I truly believe all Holy Spirit filled Christians long to be, readied to jump at Gods prompting. Excited by Natural curiosity, the adrenaline rush, or for obedience sake & denile of the power of ego/self. He would go to the length of asking; in a prayer meeting, for a named person to pray or even prophesy, you never could relax in your flesh with him around. I miss him but hold on to the fact that he took me there (the edge) & that where I'll totter expectantly. God is a ''gentle man'' & we are His children He loves us & would never harm us. We can trust Him & Him only in all & every situation. He only wants the best for us. Faith is not faith until acted on.
  21. Rom 8:1-18. & Gal. 3-4-5-6. There is much teaching us to recognise & live in the blessing & saving grace Jesus won for us on the cross. What place in our lives as Christians does Tradition have.? Individually how much tradition should we allow in our life. :embarasse If you believe you know better do you help others walk in that freedom.? :shade: Does Tradition stunt spiritual growth.?
