  1. There is a lot of debate surrounding ( Song of Solomon 2:7 ) as to whether the "Subject" which in this case is the speaker is the bride or the groom? why the "Direct Object" which are the "Daughters of Jerusalem" are addressed as Masculine Plural in The Old Testament Plural even though "Daughters of Jerusalem" is by and in itself feminine plural? whether the "Indirect Object" is the bride, groom or even just referring to the general affection of love? However, regardless of all the debatable aspects of ( Song of Solomon 2:7 ) mentioned at the top of this post, is One of the main overarching meanings of ( Song of Solomon 2:7 ) is that love is gentle & patient? What would it have meant to the ancient biblical readers at that time? ( To sort of elaborate, would the ( Song of Solomon 2:7 ) bible verse been a good reprimanding verse for ( 2 Samuel 13:11-14 ) Amnon who raped his half-sister Tamar (Genesis 34:1-5) Shechem who lay with Dinah by force
  2. Could someone please post an online internet resource that clearly shows which Song of Solomon (Song of Songs) bible verses are attributed to the bride, and which verses are attributed to bridegroom? There probably are a lot of online resource with extensive exegesis paragraphs explains each verse line by line. However, I'm looking for something that is sort of like a movie script that will allow readers like me to easily & quickly see who is speaking. For example, something like the following: Song of Solomon 1 Bride: (1:2) May he kiss me with the kisses of his mouth! .................................. ................... ....... Groom: (1:9) To me, my darling, you are like My mare among the chariots of Pharaoh .......etc................. ...etc................... ....

  5. Beauty of Jesus The Songs of Songs : 5:10-16 There is perhaps no other passage in scripture (apart from Revelation 1-3 ) where the Person of Jesus is revealed in 10 facets of his personality. The passion of the Holy Spirit to exalt and honor the person of Jesus is evident here. It is a great tragedy that in our time the body of Christ spend so little time to consider the person of Jesus, we tend to be more focused on our personal needs and fail to make him our obsession. However if we were to make him our obsession, all other issues will come in line and we’ll find that in the revelation of him we are changed from glory to glory. The daughters of Jerusalem ask the bride: how is your beloved better than others! She responds by simply speaking of His beauty. We know that He is the perfection of beauty, transcendent beauty. But here she is speaking of beauty that she had beheld and tasted of. He is delightful a delight to behold. He is beauty beyond comprehension, exceeding beauty. Holy, Holy, Holy is the LORD, God of hosts. Only those who stand in bridal intimacy before him can see him for who he really is. Here is a summary of what the bride has beheld in gazing upon him: My beloved is dazzling. He is radiating with light. As the Son of man, He is unique. He stands alone fairer than the sons of men (Psalm 45:2). His leadership over my life is perfect because He has been tempted in every point as a man, faced every kind of pressure in life, endured the deepest pain and sorrow and has overcome them, when I cry out to him, he runs to my help and brings aid. His dedication to me is unceasing, eternally vigorous. His banner over me is loyal love. He cherishes me and embraces me even in my weakness calling forth the things that be not as though they were. His emotions towards me are strong, fervent and intense- that's because He is so in love with me. No one else will love me and care for me that much. When He speaks ,His words are filled with grace and truth. His hands, they are strong and mighty to save. His tender yearnings to show mercy is beyond my capacity to comprehend. His ruler ship over my life: he deals with absolute justice and mercy in every situation. His ways are ways of pleasantness, and all his paths are peace . They lead to life and in the end it will deliver a crown of glory to me. His whole countenance is full of majesty, strength and beauty and fragrance. And above all, there is nothing as exhilarating as the pleasure of loving him. This is my beloved and my close friend. This is why I am lovesick for him.
  6. The seal of bridal love Introduction The Song of Songs is about the journey of a young maiden, how she matures in the anointing to love. She matures from a young maiden to a reigning bride in full bridal partnership with Jesus. The Holy Spirit is speaking here. He is giving us the reason why the bride matures in her journey through the wilderness 8:5 who is this that comes up from the wilderness, leaning on her beloved? This is the bride at the end of her journey. She is not coming out of the wilderness but up, from the place of ruling and reigning with Christ in the heavenly places, leaning on her beloved. Have you ever seen the way of a ship in the midst of the sea? It’s a sailing ship and it’s sailing right into the storm. As the boat sails directly into the storm, it tilt on one side, it’s leaning on one side. You’ll think that water will soon get into the boat and it will sink. The greater the storm, the harder the boat must lean and the faster it will go This is what the bride has done throughout her journey. She has harnessed the power of the storm to go deep in the heart of God. When you set your heart to wait upon God in your wilderness journey, He will turn that which the enemy intended for evil into a season of growth. The harder you go after Him, the more you are leaning on the beloved. Now what you have gained through waiting on God is gold refined in the fire, it’s an eternal treasure and it’s yours forever. The seal of bridal love 8:6-7 set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm: for love is strong as death, jealousy is cruel as the grave: Its flames are flames of fire, a most vehement flame. Many waters cannot quench love; neither can the floods drown it….. Jesus is speaking here. This is the key verse in the song. This is what He is asking from His bride: Give me ownership of your heart, set me as a seal upon your heart and as a seal upon your ministry God wants to release the anointing to love on his bride so that you will be empowered to stand, to grow in love, to endure all the strategies of the enemy along the journey. This anointing to love is progressive and we need to mature in it. There is a love that is as strong as death, many waters cannot quench this love nor can the floods of persecutions drown it. This love has a most vehement flame for our God is a consuming fire. In the natural water always put out fire but God’s supernatural fire cannot be put out. God’s love poured out in abundance in our hearts is more powerful than the floods of many waters. The Holy Spirit wants to bring our mind emotions and our heart under the seal of His divine fire of love that there will be a oneness of heart with the Father and the Son, that the world will see it and know that the Father has sent the Son. But we need to contend to mature in the anointing to love. Christianity is not passive. Jesus taught us to hunger and thirst for righteousness, to take the kingdom of God by violent hunger. The kingdom of God suffers violence and the violent takes it by force. Paul taught us to fight the good fight of faith, to contend for the faith, to run the race set before us with patience endurance. This seal of divine fire of love is progressive. If we will contend for the seal of bridal love to touch our heart, we will mature from a young maiden to a reigning bride, one who is equally yoked in love with Jesus. One who will run together in mature partnership with him in ministry and maintain unbroken intimacy with him in the midst of ministry
  7. Song of songs I love the song of Solomon. The song is a love story; a romance: the romance of the gospel. We were redeemed by love so that we would enter into the highest heights of love. The song describes the kind of intimacy Jesus wants to have with his bride. Jesus is a bridegroom King; he has burning desire and strong affection for his bride. Jesus wants a lovesick bride, one who will mature from a young maiden to a mature reigning bride. There is a journey that we must take to mature in the anointing to love. There is a love that is as strong as death, many waters cannot quench this love nor can the floods of persecutions drown it. This love has a most vehement flame for our God is a consuming fire Believers are betrothed to Jesus. They are brides to be. Only those who have been prepared in beauty will be made ready for the marriage of the Lamb. The maiden matures in love in the book. She is the maiden (the bride to be) who is awaken to love and she matures in love from a maiden to a mature reigning bride. Understanding this song will help us grow in our progression of holy passion for Jesus. It will give us a revelation of the divine pattern and principle needed to develop mature love for God. It will equip us to discern what God is doing in the different seasons in our lives as he deals with us to mature us. Jacqueline Worship warrior ministry
