  1. There are so many lessons I learned along my journey with God, that I thought I'd share my full testimony in case some parts speak more to some than others. I was raised in an atheist family (in New Zealand), suffering through bullying within and outside of home. I would have killed myself if not for an online friend - only person who I felt had loved me. I never heard the gospel until I was 21, and would have spent an eternity in hell! I was seeking my own gain (to network with a singer), when she asked me to meet her at church (in Japan where only 1% are Christian! What are the odds?) I heard the gospel, and moved to tears, without questioning accepted God's gift of salvation. That was 10 years ago. When I shared the good news with my boyfriend and mum (those who were my greatest support), they quickly talked me out of it. I never gave up seeking the meaning in life, and explored Hare Krishnas and Falun Gong. Believing that truth leads to meaningful life, I questioned inconsistencies I saw there and was met with frightening hostility! I did stay with astrology and one day suddenly became very sick - almost dying of gallstones - something unheard of in a health-conscious female of that age. I didn't know God, but I remember swearing at the unjust universal powers that be. Through another coincidence, I befriended a Jehovah's Witness. Oddly he showed me Zeitgeist, while keeping his faith to himself so as not to impose. I didn't find out about his beliefs until years later (after surgery) when I asked him about it. I asked lots of questions and was astounded by the beauty and profundity of the Bible, particularly 1 Corinthians 13. I prayed heartily, had a premonition followed by an audible voice, and this is when I made my full-blown repentance. At the time, my atheist boyfriend and I were designing a game campaign involving doctrinal differences such as if God is one or Triune, whether to keep the Sabbath etc. I thus looked into these issues before attending a church, and went down a loooong rabbit hole of truth-seeking (on my own!). After about a month of research, I left him after he refused to accept Jesus. I joined a Seventh Day Baptist church (not having had any counsel from experienced Christians) and only escalated into trying to keep ALL the commandments (OT included) from there. Too bad I hadn't come across dispensationalism to realise what applies to whom and when! I stayed with the family of a little Messianic Judaism cult where we were led by an 'Apostle' and spent days delving into the minutia of headcoverings, beards and the true name of God. Unsurprisingly, there was a lack in areas of submission in families and love between brethren. When I was continually slandered, I brought it up to the sister, then to two witnesses, then congregation and then in her embarrassment she jumped out saying she will "kill me" and threw me out of her house. I had no fear. I had recently quit a job because I couldn't keep the solar-lunar Sabbaths, and the conviction of my heart was that I would be ready to die for the Lord. Instead, I (on my own again) questioned and questioned this and that until my research led me all the way into atheism and I denied our Lord the second time. I tried to get back with my first boyfriend, but he insisted our relationship be secret and strictly sexual. I turned him down and found myself another humanitarian intellectual. This relationship too was very rocky - we had our fun times but I wanted him to get his act together and make something of himself and he bristled at my controlling behaviour. God wasn't done with me yet though, and about 3 years ago I again came around to Christianity after digging around in conspiracies. I was quick to drop all the sin in my life, including fornication, and this angered my boyfriend. He debated me for hours each day, and I was amazed that I was able to pull out strong, logical apologetics out of thin air. Shaken by the strength of my faith, my boyfriend said goodbye to his spirit guide (who came to him suddenly in a meditation long ago), and prayed and fasted for 7 days to 'see God'. Alas, he said he didn't have the experience. The Holy Spirit was working a miracle through me, I thought, until eventually he talked me out of the faith and I denied our Lord for the third time. Ah, the spirit of Peter that I am! ;o; The Lord did bless our efforts though as my boyfriend ended up dropping a lot of degeneracy, but it was hard for me to trust it being genuine and trust issues continued to rip us apart. Oddly enough, because of the same life goals (homeschooling kids on a homestead and political activism to help liberate people from oppressors), and wanting kids to have stability, we ended up exchanging vows before God. At the time, we were learning about the benefits of following Christian morals and were considering ourselves 'culturally Christian', while keeping many new age practices. We joined an angry political group that wouldn't be at all Biblical, and in the pit of my stomach I felt this was a bad plan... While my husband's life was improving mine was continuing to slide - my physical and mental health continued despite finding the 'truth' about nutrition and making everythign from scratch, as well as avoiding chemicals.. and of course LOTS of personal development and increasing meditation. Our relationship too was getting worse despite my tips and tricks. We started our family just before I turned 31, and I miscarried in terrible pain 9 weeks later (no drugs taken so as to keep body healthy). This was followed by a terrible self-move to another city after which something major broke down in the house every day and we were biting each other's heads off from the stress. Our kitten died of toxoplasmosis which she should have NEVER gotten or died of (chance is less than .001%), and I was terrified how I might get infected and ruin our future baby - we fought about litter hygiene daily. Our other cat continued to cause problems until we got them a mate and things got worse. I got pregnant again and miscarried the second time. That was the end of the line for me - life was 99% pain and I couldn't take it anymore. I couldn't help myself and no one could help me. In desperation, I cried out for Jesus to save me, telling Him that if this is all a plan to get me back - fine, He can have me!! That very instant, I was soothed. Somehow I knew everything would be ok from now on, because "everything works for good to those who love God and are called according to His Purpose" Rom 8:28. My husband and I now suddenly had very opposed political views (and he considered breaking up with me for a while), and I was sharing my faith with the Godless group, but they didn't really care, increasing my feeling of being a useless human being. I didn't tell my dad, since he just gets angry, disappointed and parrots "religion is the opium of the people". I don't believe in hiding God's lamp under a bushel, and I care about souls, so I talk to everyone else in my circle - ALL non-believers, telling them my testimony and sharing the beautiful gospel of Christ as it was finally being revealed to me. I also couldn't help but mention other amazing facts in conversation that made the Bible real. The people closest to me (husband and mum) say they like me better as a Christian, which amazes me. I was never able to improve myself, but my husband says my temperament has changed. To me that's a miracle. Still, no one seems to have been moved to accept Jesus, but rather with every word and action that proceeds from them, Satan is planting doubts in MY mind. I want to be used by God for great works, but I feel not used at all. I repent and surrender every day, and study, so I don't know what else I can do to be a useful vessel. Lessons learned: -Online friendship can save lives! -Killing yourself is a bad idea since something better still awaits you! -New believers should quickly find Christian support, while not committing to any church or doctrine too hastily -Please don't hide your faith from the people around you - you never know who needs to hear it! -If we turn away from God, He being faithful will look for the lost sheep and will either bring it back through love or through chastening. Don't be surprised if you are given up to Satan's torture if that's what it takes for you to stop trusting in idols and repent -Be very slow to change your beliefs or commit to something for life - be thorough in research, counsel and prayer, especially in weighty matters such as marriage for life and your eternal life! Thank you for everyone on this forum who has helped strengthen me with scriptures and prayer. If you have gone through anything similar and want me to be your support buddy or anything like that please reach out <3 With love in Christ, Anna
  2. With all the talk about OSAS and Legalism and Repenting and all this STUFF......... I thought it would be a good idea to show you an idea of how to think about salvation so that its really made to be understood ....as so very simple. Here we go.. Adam had the righteousness of God. He was made this way....(let us make man in our image....same as us, regarding spirituality)........Adam had God's Spirit in him. He was "righteous"......exactly like God. When he disobeyed, ate the apple...... He lost his Righteousness...and he spiritually died. ..He was no longer ONE with God, and had became "fallen"....or you could think of it as..,,,,, disconnected from God's Spirit and LIFE. Salvation is God reconnecting you to him, exactly as Adam was connected to God, before He fell. So, What had to happen so that WE who have this "adamic nature", this unrighteousness as our very spiritual SELVES........... what had to happen so that we could AGAIN be like the 1st Adam,= "sinless", "righteous? What had to happen, so that we could be reestablished as the same RIGHTEOUS, as the original Adam? Well, Jesus, the 2nd Adam, had to come and die, and give us HIS Righteousness, so that we are reestablished like Adam was spiritually..... before Adam the 1st lost his righteousness. See it? So, Salvation, is God reestablishing us, as the same RIGHTEOUSNESS, as Adam had before he fell. Its the same "one with God" in Spirit, that is our "born again" redemption. This is the effect of being BORN AGAIN......we are SPIRITUALLY remade the same as the 1st Adam before he fell, because the 2nd Adam, (Jesus), took our sin and died for it all, and gave us in place of our sin, ..his very righteousness. "the gift of Righteousness". So, this recreates us...(born again) to be the same as Adam was, SPIRITUALLY, BEFORE HE FELL. This is what Salvation does for us. This is BORN AGAIN.< blessings, <B><
  3. Jesus is the Holy Spirit. God is Jesus, "God was manifested in the Flesh" = Jesus 1 Timothy 3:16 "God is A Spirit" is the verse, vs some phony bibles that say "God is Spirit", .. so, check yours.....becasue "A" Spirit, is a specific TYPE....Its a HOLY One...."Holy Spirit". See, there is an UNHOLY Spirit, the spirit of "anti=Christ", and then there a "A" Spirit, (God is A Spirit), that designates for you the literal and clear distinction between Holy and unholy....so, if your bible says...."God is Spirit"< John 4:24 then get yourself a real bible that says.. "God is A Spirit". Very important. And also check and see if your bible says..."GOD was manifested in the Flesh" in 1 Timothy 3:26, as if it says, "He" instead of "God", then get rid of this bible, as its flawed, and not literally accurate. A flawed bible creates a flawed Christian. Thats a fact. The Holy Spirit is the "comforter" and Jesus is the "Prince of Peace". The Holy Spirit gives you comfort, and this is the "God kind". Jesus said, "My peace , (MY SPECIFIC TYPE OF PEACE), This is the Holy Spirit)... The peace I give is NOT as the (spirit of the world) gives,".. John 14: 27.... because Christ's peace IS the Holy Spirit, The Comforter... which is a heavenly peace. THIS Spirit, is God's, and it is the One that "fills you", and it is the one that "indwells you" only if you are born again, as this is the reason you are born again, and this is why the NT says that "if you don't have the Spirit of God, ( Holy Spirit indwelling you) then you are none of God's", you are not born again, and you are not saved. Romans 8:9 The Peace of God is not "happiness" , its a deep wellness in the soul. Its a comfort that is deeper then feelings. Its supernatural. This is the peace of God, Himself, that comes to live in a person the INSTANT they "Believe on the Lord and you SHALL BE SAVED",= right then.....and this is why many cry and cry when this happens, because this peace heals broken hearts. This peace heals wounded souls. This indwelling of the peace of God, which IS the Love of God, fills the emptiness, and this peace replaces addiction, lust, greed, envy, pride, hate, with self control.... and fills the human heart with contentment. AS ALL THIS is the indwelling fruit of the Holy Spirit. ( Jesus the Vine into us the Branches) Its the "God Effect" that comes to live inside a born again Person. Its the "Kingdom of God" that enters you as you enter INTO it. Colossians 1:13 = BORN AGAIN
  4. The bible says that Jesus bore our sin on the Cross, so then, who are we to not believe it. ? After all, if we are born again, then we have now become "the righteousness of Christ", and Jesus "became (our) sin". 2nd Corinthians 5:21, and what is also amazing, is that its God His Father that "made" this all happen. Here is a pretzel.....God is Jesus on the Cross, sending Himself down from Heaven, to Die as a Man. In John 1:10, Jesus was "standing on the earth HE CREATED", = "God said, LET THERE BE", in Genesis....... and this is JESUS now standing on it, and soon He was going to be hanging between the earth and sky that HE Created with.... words....and Jesus is the WORD ..... made flesh. On the Cross, Jesus is not just dying for sin, He literally became sin. I'll show you somehting else that is pretty interesting, as maybe you've not thought this or been shown it before... You all know this verse...... "we are not UNDER the Law but we are UNDER Grace". In other words, the reason for the Law....is that the law shows us our sinfulness, as this is the purpose of it, which then leads us to the One who dies for them on the Cross, gives us His Righteousness......you know, (Salvation). But notice this.... our NT says that the LAW was abolished, being NAILED to the Cross. Colossians 2:14 Now this does not mean the law and the 10 C's are no longer behavioral lifestyle guides regarding our Christian Discipleship, sure...but what it means is that because Jesus fulfilled the law in our place, the law now has no authority to judge us as sinners. Remember, God's law does this, not Jesus, not God. This is why Jesus never JUDGED any one, He always said. "sins are forgiven", "go thy way"...etc..... as that is why HE CAME, whereas the Law can not do this, it can only judge you to be a sinner, based on ITSELF as it reveals God's morally righteous moral code. So, Jesus abolished the law (took away its power to judge us as sinners), which is why Romans 4:8 has to be understood fully or Salvation can't be completely accepted or understood as it is meant to be, in both cases. So, there is Jesus, dying on the cross, and where is the Law that is abolished and NAILED to the Cross with him?? Its nailed. Where? Its above his HEAD. He is UNDER THE LAW, on the Cross, DYING. And we are NOT UNDER IT< because He died under it for us. "You are not UNDER the Law but under GRACE , <. see that? = Because Jesus is UNDER IT, on the Cross. He took away its power to JUDGE a born again believer. His death FINISHED not only our Eternal Redemption, but it also forever eliminated the Law's Legal right to judge us as SINNERS. <B><
  5. Here are some thoughts you might consider, regarding "Losing your Faith"...... and if your bible is near by.......... Here is the reality... > Your Faith does not save you. God SAVED you through your Faith. Big difference. Vital Distinction. So, falling away from it after you are SAVED, basically does nothing but allow God and others to esteem you as a backslider. This person is a sheep who is off the main path but they are not a "LOST" sheep, as they were previously found by Jesus's Blood and redeemed. There are a lot of Christian sheep who are no where near the path of Light, yet they are all Children of the Light. There is no verse in the NT that says....>"ok, you fell out of Christ". And that is because you can't. You are "bone of Jesus Christ's bones, and flesh of Jesus Christ's flesh". "ONE"...>"In Christ". "As Jesus is so are the born again in this world".... right now. "seated in heavenly placed, IN CHRIST....right now". And a backslidden (Christian) says,"" but, i downloaded porn yesterday, and today i stole money from my mother's bank account, and tomorrow im going to fornicate with my stepson again after he's back from Church.""" And this person, who is saved, yet doing all this..... is going to suffer down here. Not today, as sentence against sin, "reaping and sowing", is coming...but it does not happen the day you sin.....but its COMING.... So this person is going to HURT for what they are doing........its coming.........."Sowing and Reaping". This is explained by Ecclesiastes 8:11 Its explained by the "long-suffering (Patience) of God. However.....Paul details it the same.. = that if they dont turn from their "works OF the flesh", repent..... and get back into the righteous walk, then they will "reap what they have sown", be "chastened of God" over and over, and if that won't make them stop, they will , over time, lose everything, except for their Salvation. Family, job, money, friends, lifestyle .GONE.....and then they will get sick, and then they will die. Romans 8:13 As THAT is the final result of SIN, (sinning), as a believer, and continuing to LIVE IN IT. Seems fair... But, what is also a fact, is that this born again person, wont suffer in eternity for those sins, because Jesus has already died for all of them, on a Cross, on Earth. We as BIBLE believers are to understand that in Eternity, in Heaven, the only Sin that God evaluates, to evaluate you, is the one that rejected the Cross. This is the unpardonable sin., as if you do this one, then you prevent the Cross from taking your sin,.....and you die "un-pardoned".....= the un-pardonable....sin. = Christ Rejection. This is actually choosing to go to Hell. Bad choice. See.....Its only a Christ Rejector......it only THIS sin, that is alone dealt with In Heaven, in Revelation 20:11. Great White Throne. Believers die and meet Christ because we Trusted Him on EARTH, but if you didn't, then you dont meet Christ as your Savior, you only meet the JUDGE who Sent Jesus here, and you Rejected Him. And now God will reject YOU.......= Hell .... = THE LAKE OF FIRE ! So, if you are not saved, and you are reading this... please do not reject Christ and meet God as you Judge. Please don't do that. Received Jesus, Trust in Jesus..... kneel at the Cross and receive the LOVE of God.... End up happy in Heaven, and eternally so. Down here, on earth, a believer's bad behavior is dealt with by THE LAW OF... "reaping and sowing". And God will also correct a born again believer, .. Hebrews 12:6...and will anyway. Most Christians have not been taught all this basic NT understanding, but, i just told you, Saints...so, if this is not what you have known before........now you do. The born again meet God as their Father. The unsaved, meet God as their Judge. On earth, all meet "reaping and sowing" for sin or "works of the flesh"..., so, be sure your deeds are not the type that are going to harvest a season of pain in your life. It will come for you, if you do. Your sin will find you out, and it will HURT YOU when it finds you. See, we as humans, we want to judge how WE see it. (self righteousness) But God's ways are higher then ours, as in as high as Heaven is from the earth, is how differently God's thinks and behaves, as compared to how we would try to do the same. WE, as humans, can't even grasp how a holy God would come to earth and die for the UNGODLY. So, that is why, many believers can't stand the fact that God's Grace continues to be the same, for people who are born again,, but who don't live a holy life. What we want to think about them, is that they deserve hell. Thats how we feel.... That's our flesh. That is how it reacts, against the Grace of God, at times. The more of a legalist you are, the more you will have these types of feelings and beliefs. The more you are like Jesus, the less of them, will you have. But God does not see it OUR way. He only sees HIS OWN as "through the Blood". Our flesh rebels at this........but that is not How God responds to THEM. They are His Blood bought Children, and He does not love them less because they are horrible people. He saved them knowing they would turn out to be rotten stinking Christians. But Christians they are, and to HIM they belong, as "new BIRTH", as the Blood Atonement.....decided this for them. To God, ALL sin is pardoned on the CROSS and offered as SALVATION. In fact, that He does not charge you for yours, as Christ has already died for them ALL, is explained in this NT verse. Romans 4:8. If you reader, have not studied this verse deeply, then you are lacking even a shallow understanding of Grace. And you need to study this one also..... Hebrews 13:9. AS if you don't follow that one, early in your born again "babe in Christ" experience, then you'll end up as a devout Legalist on a forum like this one at some point teaching Galatians 1:8. Really. So, sgain....about "losing Faith".... A weak analogy would be : a marriage contract. Say you are married, and your wife or husband hates you. Hates you......Despises you.....and wished you would die....they wish you were dead. Well, do their feelings and attitude and "heart condition" and "words" .... end the marriage? NO < because there is a contract that overrides their hate and words. So, its the same with the Blood of Jesus...It overrides all we do wrong, after we are saved, including what we SAY or DO. ""where SIN Abounds (in the LIFE OF A BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN), .. GRACE more abounds". "God who began your salvation in you, will HIMSELF be FAITHFUL to COMPLETE it". Philippians 1:6 "Jesus is the author and FINISHER of your FAITH" Hebrews 12:2 In other words, you can't out-sin Grace. Many try it, but it can't be done. You can only "fall away" from it, and become what Paul is describing in Galatians. ""are you so FOOLISH< (that you use to Trust Christ to keep you saved) , but now you are gone BACK into the (flesh) worrying about the 10 commandments, and the law, and lifestyle, as the WAY you keep yourself saved"? You are FALLEN.......(gotten away from),........"Fallen from GRACE." This is the Legalist. So, understand that "holding onto your faith", is not principally different then keeping the 10 commandments, regarding its inability to save you or keep you saved. A person says......"but my faith is what saved me". And the NT says...."no, God saved you, through your faith". And Jesus said while ON the Cross, "it if finished". A believer says.... "ummm, well, ok, faith does not save me, it's God through the Blood of Jesus who SAVED me.....I see, BUT....what if i fall out of faith". ????? What if you do? What if you don't. This does not stipulate or control or condemn the redemption that has happened to you. "New Birth". "New Creation IN CHRIST". Faith does not do this, it only allows GOD TO DO IT TO YOU, FOR YOU, through your Faith. HE DID iT. ITS DONE. .... if you are born again. Ok, well, there are Legalists that hate this understanding. They will hate my entire Post. They hate it, because it does not allow them to feel they are saving themselves, and that of course, is their problem. Their legalism has replaced real FAITH In Christ ALONE... and so, Now they have resorted to faith in their faith, or its faith in their works.,, or both. This is Legalism. Legalism is literally a person climbing up on the Cross in their self effort to keep themselves SAVED. The legalist, has replace Jesus with > SELF Faith< (what i have to DO)... to TRY to KEEP themselves saved. Thats their issue. This is the issue of Legalism. Paul wrote all about this, in Galatians. Find a lot more about it there....... So, It really does come down to one realization. Its not what you trusted to SAVE YOU< but its what you are trusting to KEEP YOU SAVED.....is the issue. AS right here is where a legalist "falls from Grace", and into "self saving." This is why the legalist can't talk about the Cross, can't talk about Grace, can't talk about the Blood of Jesus with joy or deep understanding...... and how could they?... They can only talk about THEIR savior...which is themselves, trying not to "lose it"....and here comes their list of "do's and don't does to keep themselves saved. ...........10 commandments, overcoming, enduring to the end, the Law, lifestyle, holding unto their faith... and their "saving myself" list just keeps going and going, ........... And what is not on their list, is the Cross or Jesus or the Blood. So, that is the Legalist. They are "fallen from Grace". Grace no longer has a part in their redemption, in THEIR Mind, but in God's perspective these are just people who lost the light and pride kept it turned off . If they were born again, then this is unchanged.......and thank God for that. --- And one more about......." quitting faith, losing faith, ...." Lets say a Christian born again mother has a 2 yr old, that is kidnapped and murdered. So, they catch the person, and he goes to prison for life. But, in her broken and devestated heart, she is asking "why", Why didn't God prevent this.. ?? !!!!! So she says, and means it.... ="" I HATE YOU GOD. BURN IN HELL JESUS> DIE HOLY SPIRIT, .. I hope Heaven BURNS with the Angels in it SCREAMING !!!!!!!!""""" Now do you see that? You are awake now....right? Do you really think that God is going to cast HIS Child of God into the Lake of Fire for eternity....for those words, and that attitude? Is God's love unconditional ? Is the Cross weak at Redemption? Jesus, who is GOD, said that He is ""touched with the FEELINGS of our FEELINGS"". He knows exactly why we feel what we feel, and why we behave like we behave. So....no....this hurting broken destroyed woman is not going into the Lake of fire because she is literally blaming and hating God, and will continue to.......and may die this way, as a broken heart can kill you.........if its broken enough. And if she dies....then she'll meet Jesus, and there is her little girl."mama",, "mama". Talk about happy tears........ So, why does God Hating mama not end up in the Lake of Fire is she dies hating Christ ??? Because this person belongs to God.. She was bought with a price. Redemption is not a temporary solution. Redemption is an Eternal forgiveness. She is "in Christ", and "Christ IN this woman is her hope of Glory". YET....Christians have this idea that God is some sort of anemic, sensitive, can't deal with anything...... vengeful, lightning bolts, revenge seeking, neurotic, emotional infant. But the fact is, God is Love and Love is God's Grace, and Grace is the Blood Atonement, and this is so strong and so eternal, that you cant wash the Blood Of Jesus off your born again spirit by a bad attitude or a mouthful of Hate or a lifetime of living in the flesh. Salvation, is an eternal blood bought contract between the Blood of Jesus and your initial Faith, that results in you going to heaven to be with the family that GOD Joined you to, and put you in, based on THE CROSS.....ALONE. Its because.... once you signed up with Faith, God signed you up with His Eternal Blood. God , is Jesus on the Cross.....shedding His blood to bring you HOME AND KEEP YOU THERE. This is GRACE. Therefore, when you are "atoned for" by God's blood, (GRACE) it does not become voided by hatred, backsliding, or anything we do, and that is because it is GOD who created the means of the CROSS to accept us, and once He does......then that is the final answer. "Accepted in the Beloved". Now here is a little bit more for you.... So, "Faith, faith, faith"., what if i lose my faith". Ok, there is a unique answer for that question also given in the NT. Its in Romans. "Whatsoever is not of FAITH is sin..." So, if you lose your faith, you have sinned. And Romans 4:8 says that God does not charge your SIN to you....after you are washed in the blood of Jesus....so, the "lost faith" sin, is just one more that is under that blanket of Blood, ... all washed clean.. White as snow.
  6. I wanted to talk to you about your Salvation, which is your personal and private relationship with God. Maybe you are not enjoying it. Maybe its become a dead weight in your heart, that gives no joy, no life, and no hope. Many Christians are exactly like this. They have long ago trusted the Lord, they are born again, and yet, over time, what use to be LIFE in them is now a slow torture. Almost a misery. So, let me talk to you about this, and lets easily solve this so that you can once again know how it use to be when you were first saved, and life was BRAND NEW, and all you wanted to do was have more of God. Remember ? To get back THERE........is very easy to do. Its not a slow progression back. And in fact, i want you to see this picture in your mind.... Take a look... You see a path that is leading across a pretty field, and at the end of the path is a yard, and a small white cottage stands in the yard. Its in the early evening, not quite dark, its Springtime and there are candles burning in the windows. In all the windows, there are candles glowing a golden glow. The brown wooden front door is wide open, and standing on the porch, by the open door, all dressed in white is Jesus. Its Jesus. He is standing there. He is looking across the yard, and into the path. He is looking at you because you stopped just before you walked across the yard to Him. You can see His face. He is smiling gently at you. You notice that His arms are open as if to give you a warm hug. Then you see what you really didnt expect. You see that Jesus has tears in His Eyes. In His eyes are tears. These tears are for you. These are tears of longing, and hope, and joy, because He has wanted you to come home, and has been waiting, and waiting, and waiting.... And now you are there. So... Go to the Lord. Go Home. - - Ok, if you are away from the Lord for a while, there are generally only a few reasons. One, is that you have been sinning, and you feel so guilty and condemned in your heart. Two, is that you have some bitterness in your life. Maybe a divorce. Maybe someone you loved died. Maybe you are just very unhappy with your life. Its such a struggle. But what you are feeling is that you blame God. You blame Jesus. You are angry at them.. Three, Maybe a Christian has hurt you. Maybe a church has greatly disappointed you. Maybe both, and you are just not wanting to be a part of any of this, anymore. Now there are other things i can list, but, ive learned that most of us, when we are not close to the Lord, ... its because of those 3, so, no matter what your reason might be, ..being away from the Lord is the same empty feeling, its the same sense of no direction and no hope, yet its so very easy to solve this situation, whatever it is, that is keeping you away from God who loves you. So, How do you get back? Well this is very simple. You see that picture i gave you? You see that Jesus? He is there all the time, just like that. And yet what we do sometimes, is we dont see Him like this when we are not close to God and Christ. Instead we see our feelings, our disappointments...... we feel our guilty condemnation... and our bad feelings lead us to believe that God is upset with us, and in fact, He is not. God is Love, you see. And the only thing He will ever do or feel, towards His Child, which you are, is to feel Love towards you. God's only thoughts toward you, His Child, are good thoughts. God only and always wants the best for you. God is love, and that is all He ever has to give you. And this love, is expressed into your life and into your heart as His favor, blessing, peace, hope, power, self control, and Love. Now, i listed 3 reasons that might be the reason you are not as close to the Lord as you were once. And if you are reading this, it could be because you are someone who feels that God is so distant and you are so unworthy. And.... no matter the reason, or the reasons, and no matter how you feel...... God is always at the door, waiting for you. Jesus is never going to turn you away. He will never require you to do anything so that He would accept you or love you. God's love is REAL LOVE, because it is unconditional. You see, God loves you, because that is what He does....That is who He is.... And His Love's only requirement is that you Let Him Love You. And THAT, my brother or my sister,..... is how you return to God and Christ. You realize His Love and you allow It for yourself. You allow it for yourself.... And when you do, and as soon as you do, you will feel His presence, and you will know it. And no matter what you have done, or what you have felt, if you will just see Jesus, standing at the door, looking at you, ... then you can understand How God Loves YOU. Let God love you. Allow God to Love you...... He is still waiting...... always. <B><
  7. A mystery is something that has not been uncovered or revealed. The Trinity is really not a mystery, as this is a misapplied definition that someone once used who didn't understand it, or didnt want to believe it, and it has sort of hung around Christendom, seemingly forever. Now then......The Bible lays out the reality of God's existence, generally, as 3 distinct aspects, yet as One individual whole.... So, here we go.... Lets take a look : First......Think of yourself......are you a spirit , a soul, and a body?......... How many is that?......Well, you are Tri-part being. You are 3 in One. Have you ever noticed the sun in the sky? The Sun: is Heat, Light, and Actinic rays. (ultraviolet, etc). That is 3 parts of the same ONE..... So, is that a mystery? The reason most Christians think of these type things as mysteries, is because we live in the natural world, we exit in the natural realm, and so, what we don't see with our eyes, = "mystery". "seeing is believing". So, God is 3. But He is One. ... Like this : Christ said that He is "In the Father", John 10:30 Thomas kneeled before Christ and said...>"my Lord and my GOD",..... and Jesus didn't correct Him. John 20:28 Christ said......."touch me not, i have not yet ascended to my Father and yours"........ John 20:17 The reason the Pharisees wanted to kill Jesus is .....1.) Envy. 2.) Legalism: Religious Spirit, and because Jesus said......"Before Abraham was...... I AM"....and this is Jesus referring to Himself "pre incarnate", as in Genesis 1, when He was not yet "God manifested as a man, in the FLESH". John 8:58 1 Timothy 3:16 So, we see that Jesus is talking about Himself (referring to Himself as God), before He was later come down from heaven as " God manifested in the FLesh"....... John 8:58 and 1 Timothy 3:16 Ok then, i wrote a simple and quick "Trinity" study recently that i'll now post for you to use if you feel like studying all this, that im posting for yuo Here is the rest.... - 1.) John 1:10.. If you read it, you'll read that Jesus was in and literally placed His feet on the World HE created. 2. ) Colossians 1:6 says that through JESUS, and by Jesus, all things were created. 3.) 1 Timothy 3:16 says that "God" was manifested, (was made flesh and walked among us as a Man) "" 4. ) John 20:28 says that Thomas the Apostle, upon first seeing Jesus after He rose from the dead , said... "My Lord AND MY GOD".... JESUS is the "word made flesh". God made all that you see, by speaking words. "Let there BE...... light, nature, creation, all of it"....>"Let there BE" is like saying, let there BECOME..... God spoke it, and it (creation) appeared. Genesis 1. In the beginning was the Word and the Word (Jesus) was with God, and the Word (Jesus) was/is God. So, there you have Jesus as the Word before He was sent here to die, being worshipped as God after He was sent here. That is God the Father, and Jesus as the Word made flesh = 2 Then add the Holy Spirit, the comforter...... = 1 2 +1 = 3 Three are "One", as Jesus says. "I and my Father are ONE"..... yet, they are each, one of themselves. "Trinity".

    Grace on grace

Just as there are two steps of grace...so Christ is to abide in us AND we are to abide in Him. His divine nature is within us at regeneration...but not His perfect walk...as Paul attests to in Romans 7. Without abiding in Christ we don't have the victory over the flesh that Jesus imparts to us through His resurrection. Jesus went through death and came out victorious...for US. In Him we have victory over sin and the power of death that causes us to sin. So then we give thanks to Jesus for His victory that WE can walk in by faith. Grace through faith! IOW...we only enter His life by abiding in Him... If we have received the initial grace that is Christ IN us...then we are to then go to God (the throne of grace) to get the fullness of grace and power. John 1:16 Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. It should really say...His fullness is grace on top of grace. It is His faith added onto our faith. The faith OF Christ was worked out in Jesus' humanity as He walked in this Earthly place. It is available to us as we enter into Him. We put on His victorious humanity when we put on Christ.
  9. I wanted to show you something, that might be a huge revelation to someone with a sincere heart, who has not realized an unfortunate fact regarding their own personal (Christian) belief system. Lets do the math. It works out like this...... What is your personal Savior ???? Let me show you a few worldwide favorites that wont work out, in the end.. ---------------------------- A person says......"we believe that salvation is the Cross, but that you can "fall away" and be lost. A.) The savior is always what YOU BELIEVE KEEPS YOU SAVED. So, in this case, the Savior to this person has become...>"not falling away". So, where did the Cross go? or, A person says.....>"he who endures to the end, the same shall be saved". A.) for this person, their Savior is "ENDURING to the end". So, where did the Cross go? or, A person says.....> "As long as you hold unto your FAITH, you are still saved". A.) for this person, holding unto their faith is their personal Savior. So, where did the Cross go? or, A person says....> "As long as i KEEP ON working out my salvation with fear and trembling, i stay saved. A.) this person is trusting in their lifestyle as their personal Savior. So, where did the Cross go? or, A person says...."As long as i dont apostatize or backslide, i stay saved. A.) This person is trusting in keeping themselves from apostatizing or backsliding as their personal Savior. So, where did the Cross go? Now see how that works? In all 5 cases the MATH seems good, but the end result is DEVOUT LEGALISM. This is Christ rejection pretending its the Faith that God accepts. Paul wrote the letter to the Galatians to expose it. The end result : is that all these types have "fallen from Grace". The end result : is that all these people have replaced the CROSS with what they are to DO, as their particular heretical method to try keep themselves saved.
  10. As ive posted many times on this Forum, ....the fact that Legalists (all live in the wrong parts of Hebrews, (Ch 6 & 10) ......Matthew (before the Cross),...... James, and the Old Testament. They are really quite unacquainted with Paul. If they were a student of Paul, who said, "be a follower of ME, as i follow Christ".... it would be because they have been taught correct "Pauline Theology". If they knew anything about Paul, they would know that Jesus took Paul aside, and no other Apostle, and taught him "justification by faith", and 99% of the doctrine of the Church. So, when you are a student of the NT, you are a student of Paul, and from Paul, you learn "sound doctrine". If you have not been taught what i just showed you, then you are lost in the theological weeds, and that is why you have no idea about Grace, and can't even talk about it. You can't even discuss the Blood Atonement, or "justification by Faith". You will have no idea that Jesus is not only your Righteousness, but He is your redemption, and your sanctification and your justification, BEFORE GOD. .. In the EYES of God. If you are a legalist, all of this basic "Christianity 101" is Chinese to you. Its a language you dont speak or comprehend, and you will not be speaking it any time soon, unless you find someone like me to teach you, or you get away from whatever cult, church, or spiritually corrupted people who have led you into the dark..... and find the LIGHT. As, they will be happy to keep you right there with them in their darkness, for as long as you let them. Thats a fact, and i say this to you in love.........you need to find a way out of your heresy group. And to continue. If you are a legalist, then probably noone ever taught you anything about God's Grace, or How it works, or WHY it operates in the life of a Born Again person, the way it does. If you are a legalist, you have never been taught this verse..... and this verse is the first verse i teach a new Christian to memorize and LIVE With until they are saturated with what it means. Hebrews 13:9 This is a verse that the devil will hide from a Legalist. This verse teaches that you are to establish you HEART....with GRACE. And what this means, is that you are to come to a deep deep understanding of What Grace is, and How Grace Works......because if you don't, you will probably be led astray from theological soundness, and end up on forums ranting about "commandments" and "law", while you try to convince real believers that they can "lose it". Is that you? In other words, if you dont do what Hebrews 13:9 tells you to do, in the beginning of your walk with Christ, you will probably end up as a Galatians 1:8 Thats a fact. So, i want to help people who can be helped, and teach people who can be taught... (who are not so theologically locked into place by the pride of their self righteousness,) to understand Hebrews, and especially a few verses in Chapters 6 & 10 as these are the satanic goldmine for Legalists. Its their bread and butter from hell. Its their end game circular reasoning prison, that they all use when trying to reduce The Blood Of Christ to "working to stay saved" or "holding onto your falth to save saved" or pretending being born again is temporary, = "you can lose your salvation", they preach and preach. So, believers.... If you can get this revelation im about to give you, then it will help protect you from worrying about losing your salvation, because many will twist these Hebrew verses im going to rightly divide for you, to try to cause you to believe you can lose you salvation. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Some rules. There are a few things you need to know, so that you have the theological groundwork necessary within you to even begin to understand this Book, and Chapters 6 and 10. And by the way, the book of Hebrews is to be avoided until you have studied much and are truly truly grounded in all of Paul's epistles, so that you become grounded in Grace, and the understanding of "you are the righteousness of God IN CHRIST". I'm not kidding. But, lets take a look at this, because, this will help you to at least understand what Chapters 6 and 10 are really all about. Here is your need to know list. : First, Hebrews are unsaved Jews. 2nd, Apostles in the NT are saved Jews who are able to do signs and wonders. 2 Corinthians 12:12 And this is important to know, as you will learn, in a bit. 3rd. "Signs".......are for the JEWS. 1 Corinthians 1:22 You have to understand that a spiritual gift, comes from HEAVEN. It is a Heavenly gift, and all Apostles could perform these signs (Heavenly GIFTS) that were for JEWS. 1 Corinthians 1:22 Now, all those facts, are necessary for you to understand before you jump into the Book Of Hebrews. Also to know...very important..... When an Apostle is writing a letter, he always begins the letter with a greeting. And from these greetings, we "rightly divided" their words to understand who the letter is meant for....as this gives us an understanding of it so that we don't misuse the letter theologically or doctrinally. And Hebrews, is the most misused Letter in the NT by people who say they are Christians. AS i told you before......Legalists, LIVE in Hebrews, a letter that is NOT addressed to the CHURCH. Get that. Very important for you to realize it. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok here we go. The Book of Hebrews, is not addressed to the Church. The book of Hebrews, is addressed to HEBREWS...these are UNSAVED JEWS. This is why the letter is not addressed to "the church". Now be sure you understand that.....as i keep saying... = very important to understand. Now, let me show you what happens when an Apostle is dealing with religious (HEBREWS) Jews, who are hateful, hate-filled, and antagonistic. Lets look at how this all plays out during and after this Apostle is preaching the Gospel to them. And remember... This Apostle is showing them "heavenly gifts", 2 Corinthians 12:12 as these unsaved HEBREWS have a right to expect "signs", as that is 1 Corinthians 1:22. So, this Apostle, does everything He can possibly do, and they still wont have Jesus as their Messiah, and it plays out like this in Hebrews Chapter 6 and Chapter 10. - - In Hebrews 6 and 10 10 "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened who have tasted the (heavenly gift)... If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. "" ---------- Now Saint.....Here is how you rightly divided those verses. And i will use Ch 10 & 6, where unsaved Jews (Hebrews) are being shown the signs of an apostle (tasted the heavenly gift), heard the Gospel, and still refused their Messiah. There is a JEWISH Apostle, (perhaps Paul) who is preaching the Message of the Cross to Hebrews (jews) who are not saved. They are rejecting the message, rejecting Jesus as Messiah, and this Apostle is warning them of the consequence of Rejecting Christ. He ESPECIALLY explains in detail their rend result for rejecting Christ, when a "Signs of an Apostle" is happening in front of them.... 2nd Corinthians 12:12 (Tasted the Heavenly GIFT).... This apostle has Gifts of the Spirit and he has just let them see the signs, as "Signs are for the JEWS". 1 Corinthians 1:22... So, here you have a Jewish Apostle, preaching to Lost JEWs (Hebrews) and He is giving them the works....>Not just the Gospel, but "Signs of an Apostle", 2nd Corinthians 12:12... this is THEIR "tasting the Heavenly Gift", this is, them LITERALLY SEEING SIGNS....THE MIRACULOUS.. these Jews are seeing this... THE Spiritual Gifts this Apostle has, which come from HEAVEN...and these jews are STILL DETERMINED TO reject their Messiah, while seeing this JEWISH Apostle's SIGNS., and hearing him preach the Truth to them. This means, these are hard hearted hate filled religious Jews (Hebrews)....and that is why this Apostle rips into them...with....""" you are trodding underfoot the blood""... He is telling them....You are no different then your Father's (elders) who KNEW Christ was Messiah, and they spit on His Blood that was shed for them.... and they stood there at the foot of the Cross and told Jesus...."Come on down Jesus, you can do it right, .. isn't that right, MR MESSIAH"? That is what is going on here readers........and This APOSTLE tells them.......If you do this, as you are doing.....you have no way to be SAVED....as you have "sinned willfully" away your SALVATION.......= you have willfully rejected the ONLY ONE Who can save you... You are willfully choosing to be a CHRIST REJECTOR and ""there is no more sacrifice for you SIN", if you do this.........as Hebrews 6 explains to them... and to us. So, that is Hebrews 10 & 6. ..... That is a JEWISH Apostle, using signs, dealing with unsaved HEBREWS - Religious JEWS who have the same Hatred in their hearts that was in the hearts of the HEBREWS who wanted this......."crucify him......crucify him.......crucify him">... And Pilate told them that Jesus's BLOOD was on THEIR Hands, as he washed his in that bowl, and then turned THEIR MESSIAH over to the whips and The CROSS. These unsaved Jews in the book of HEBREWS are also "trodding underfoot" AGAIN, the blood of Jesus.....same as before, when their Elders did it, with Jesus hanging on a Cross as proof of their Christ Rejection. This Apostle, is comparing these HEBREWS Christ rejection, as exactly the same as the Hebrews who originally "trod underfoot the blood of Jesus", and stood there glaring their hatred at Him, while Christ hung dying.
  11. Behold

    John 3:16 = OSAS

John 3:16, the most universally "known" bible verse ever created...(probably), actually teaches OSAS, and is in fact OSAS. They are the same. God's Grace is OSAS John 3:16 is OSAS Let me show you. Lets study this together. So....once again, let me define OSAS, so that you understand it properly, as there are many liars let loose in the world who have created a false misunderstanding about this term, and so, you need to know what it really means. The Truth. Here is what it really means... OSAS really means... What saved you.......keeps you saved. We are KEPT saved by What saved Us. = We are saved by JESUS, and we are Kept saved by Jesus. Philippians 1:6 Hebrews 12:2 OSAS means, that the Blood of Jesus, that saved us, keeps us saved. Thats it. Thats what it means. And here is John 3:16 that explains it as i have just defined it. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world......that HE GAVE His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever BELIEVES IN JESUS, would not PERISH, but HAS eternal-everylasting life." This verse is one of the ways the NT defines OSAS, and there are many many others. So, lets look at this scripture, in LIGHT of OSAS that means....>"we are saved by Jesus and we are KEPT SAVED by Jesus. = OSAS Now, im going to drill down into this verse a little bit for you, so that you can get the wide perspective of it, in case you are a preacher, teacher, .... or maybe you want to do a Sunday School lesson on this verse, at some point. Therefore, (as always) i'll rightly divide it for you, using in context NT verses that support it. John 3:16........."For God so love the world that He GAVE His only begotten Son. So, how did God give Him?.......God gave Jesus THE Christ, to the WORLD, as a virgin born male, who is the "2nd Adam" who does not literally have an earthly father, which means Jesus is not born with a fallen Adamic (sin nature). Jesus's spiritual nature, is God, because Jesus is God. So then.. He lives a sinless life, and goes to the Cross and dies there..... bearing our Sin. (God so Love the world) the verse says and this is why and to whom Jesus was sacrified ...... And once this is accomplished...(Cross = Salvation), then Jesus says from the Cross...>"it is finished". And that is correct. Salvation, The Blood Atonement is now a completed OFFERING, to the WORLD, to all who would come.... Its a finished Salvation that is waiting to be given for free, ALL THE TIME, EVERYDAY, to anyone who will by FAITH "believe on the name of Jesus, and you shall be SAVED". Then.....and here comes OSAS.. you read in the verse that the born again who have obeyed this verse, (BELIEVED) will never "PERISH".....so, that is explained in John 10:28 were Jesus says you will never "perish", (can't go to hell, can't be damned)(eternal security)... and the born again are also GIVEN .. (you dont earn it) "Eternal Life". Listen Saint... Eternal life IS not a time frame.. ok? This phrase does not mean..."infinity and forever"..but rather, this is the POWER OF JESUS created concept that refers to living with Him and God, in the family of God, as the Body Of Christ, in ETERNITY. "Eternal life", is Jesus Himself, who IS the "resurrection and the LIFE"..... See that "life"...... THAT is eternal Life.......and here it is again...... John 14:6... Jesus saying....."i am The Way, The Truth, and THE LIFE"......and there it is again. Jesus is talking not about a time frame, but He is talking about HIMSELF< who IS Eternal Life... John 11:25 .. So,= this is OSAS......the fact that if you have Jesus..."Christ in you", and you are "in Christ", then because JESUS IS ETERNAL LIFE< then you have it right now, because you have HIM right now, and He has YOU right now = OSAS. Your Eternal Life, does not start after you are DEAD...... You have it NOW. You, the born again, are translated from darkness to Light.....right now. Jesus is the Light of the World and you are Children of the Light.....right NOW. Or as John says in 1 John 5:13 "i write these words so that you will KNOW". Know what? What does John want you to KNOW? ? ? That if you have BELIEVED on CHRIST, then you have ETERNAL LIFE. HAVE IT.........not waiting for it....but HAVE IT, = right now. So, see how ALL that fits like a glove with John 3:16 ? This is the interesting thing about OSAS.....This understanding, is all over the NT. The NT is filled with verses that speak about how Jesus saves you and keeps you saved. Paul will tell you. John just told you, and in fact the entire NT is the Blood of Jesus being written to you as a revelation of God, and how He saved you using a Cross and KEEPS YOU Saved with the Blood of Christ that was shed for you. = OSAS. blessings, <dw><
  12. Maybe someone reading this is not so happy, and needs a hug. So, If i might give you some thoughts that could possibly be a new set of "new eyes" for you. First, life is hard. Its difficult. Life tends to be a test that just keeps on testing, and it can be so tiring. At one point the Apostle Paul was just sick of it all, and wanted to go and be with Jesus and the Father and the Saints and the Host of Heaven, but He decided to stay here instead as He knew it was "More needful"..really mattered that He stayed, as the "Church" was still brand new and needed Him so much. But Paul was tired of "life".....the grind...and so, also there is this fact.. "Jesus is touched with the feelings of our sad feelings". He lived here as a Man, God became ONE OF US.....and so He understands exactly how it feels to be in this world and in this Life. Your NT says something that you'll probably never hear a preacher preach, but i'll tell you. It says that "Jesus learned obedience by the things He SUFFERED"... down here. And that is Jesus the MAN, being on this earth, dealing with LIFE< just like we do, and that is why He is so filled with compassion for us always......that he understands exactly what makes us feel, what we feel. I live in Israel, and i live sometimes in the States, and ive walked where The Lord has walked, and its HOT in the SUMMER where He always had to walk, where he LEARNED all about TIRED and Thirsty. Jesus is touched with the feelings we feel, my brothers and my sisters. Jesus KNOWS your NAME. God KNOWS your NAME. Everything we feel,......= God, as Christ has also felt, yet without sinning. And because God is touched by our grief and our pain and our frustrations......we should come to understand that He understands us perfectly when we pray, and He is able to give us comfort where we need it the most. God gives us grace for LIFE...for these TESTS....regarding the fact that Life is a test. So, = When you need more Grace, when you need more help from God, then lean on Him more. Spend more time with Him,.... as His Grace that is His power to lift you up and out of tests and trouble, is more generous and readily available when you spend more time with Him. Really. You've heard this...>"god helps those who helps themselves"...? well, thats not really exactly how it works., tho it is true that we function within the natural and God functions within and outside the Natural Realm. It is true that we do all we can, then God takes it from there. Yes, thats true... Its true that God rewards effort, but its also true that end results we leave to GOD. So, when you want more Help, you give God more of you. When you need more help, then give God more of yourself. When you give Him all of you.......ahhh, there is the final answer, isn't it? Works every time. So its more true to say..>"God helps those who need more help from Him". Thats actually how Christianity works, for our benefit. When we are WEAK, then God is Strong in us, for us, and through us. When we get down on our knees, then God LIFTS US UP. God makes something out of nothing, and the reality is, as compared to God, we are all quite nothing ....... And , ....everyone has seasons in their life that are not what we would choose, and we are stuck in them. Take heart, because, everything changes. Life IS Change...and whatever you are feeling that is making you unhappy.....It will change also, so be ready for the next.....as Life is always..the next and the next change, and for the Believer, we have God with us because He is IN US. So, no matter what, He will always work out whatever is going wrong, and recreate this for us, as a benefit. Every season of time we are going through , if bad, then God will make it a benefit for us....and if Good, then God will make it a benefit for us. All in time. God is really good at everything He created, and He created it all. 3 specific things He really does well are : 1.) Redeem the lost for eternity with the Blood of His Son. 2.) Change hard circumstances in our personal lives that we need Him to RESOLVE so that we can have peace again, and hope again, and LIFE again. 3.) Making our dreams a reality. He is really good at all of these, Saint Your bible teaches that God "thinks on you"....This means He literally thinks about all of His Children. US. And you know this must be true... we know it is, because this is our Heavenly Father, who Gave His Son for us. We matter to Him....that much. And let me tell you......there is no love like His that you can find down here, as this is God loving you, and its not like what we find with our family, friends, wife, husband, children, pets. its better, its bigger, its wider, its deeper, its more fulfilling, and its eternal. God's love is truly unaffected by our behavior, and is always unconditional. God is Love. Also, we are all in it together, all stuck down here, as Believers, waiting for something good that is soon coming. What is coming is JESUS and us leaving this place with HIM. And we are all going to leave it, if we are born again. But the BEST News is, what is on the other side is not like this place. Its going to be SO GOOD., and it will NEVER EVER END. Finally, Let me ask you a question. Whatever it is that is keeping you from being as happy today as you want to be.. that seems so important to you today..... Well, in 1,000,000 ...On Million Years from now, you will be alive, and you will be with God and Christ and me, and all the born again believers here,.... and so...A million years from now, as you are enjoying God and all He has for us that we are waiting for....A million years from now, do you think you will care THEN about what it is that you are caring about now?.....Will it matter to you then? Will it matter to you.......then ? Thats something to consider, anytime you find the cares of this life are causing you some pain.
  13. So, in this Thread, which is the sister Thread regarding the one i wrote to you yesterday, .. in this one i want to drill down deeper. Now, we are talking about "Legalism" which is not a word found in the NT, yet, Paul wrote an entire letter to the Galatians, that is talking to, and about, Legalism....Legalists. This means, that even early on, in the history of Christianity, you had the Father of Church Doctrine writing about Legalism, as this is an issue that is so common. Most of you know, that Paul, and no other Apostle, was given by Jesus The Christ Himself, 99% of the advanced revelation that the Church came to understand as "sound doctrine", and "Doctrine for the Church". So, its fitting that Paul would be the one correcting the heresy that is "Legalism" as this twisted theology has been ruining Christians and creating havoc for about the last 2000 yrs, give or take a day or 2. This heresy "legalism" is in direct opposition with "justification by faith", and so, we understand why Paul would say of it, that it is an "Accursed of God" theology, and cursed is the person who teaches it and preaches it......Galatians 1:8 Ok, lets find out who is a Legalist here, as this is another means by which you can begin to escape the mental process that has led to the theological breakdown that you have, if you are a Legalist. After all, if you are a legalist, you don't realize it, as that is the nature of deception. If you KNEW you are deceived, you would not be deceived....now would you? So, who is a Legalist? This is simple to understand. A legalist is anyone who believes that you can lose your salvation. This means that if YOU believe that you can lose your salvation, or anyone you find on forums like this one, who is totally devoted to no other pursuit then to try to convince you that you can "lose it". These are the enemies of Paul's theology, enemies of Grace, and the enemies of sound doctrine. And there is one other situation that qualifies you completely, as a Legalist. A Legalist......has "Fallen from Grace"...or another way to understand it, is, they-you, have left Grace, and are now pursuing self-righteousness. And again, what is "self - righteousness"? Its the belief and pursuit of "saving yourself" by deeds, works, commandment keeping, sin confession, etc........both before you are saved, and after you are born again. So, unbelievers and believers can both be "Fallen from Grace", but only a believer can be born again. And what is the principal issue that a Legalist is suffering from inside their mind and within their theology? Its very simple,...they are not trusting in God- Christ Alone TO KEEP THEM SAVED, and are themselves trying to accomplish this with works, deeds, commandment keeping, sin confession, enduring to the end, holding onto their faith"....etc. = ALL SELF EFFORT. So, a Legalist who is born again, started out trusting in Christ for Salvation, but somewhere along the way, they stopped BELIEVING that God and Christ will KEEP THEM SAVED. Then enters their "self righteousness", which is to be understood as, "trying to keep self right, with God, or working to make Self right with God". This is the same mistake, same Spiritual fail, as found within any other religion, as all religions have one thing in common, which is....."trying to connect with God, thru self effort". So, a Believer who is doing this, the Legalist, has fallen from Grace. Grace is the REALITY AND THE Understanding that God thru Christ saved you and Keeps You Saved. GRACE, IS Salvation. Grace, Is Jesus The Christ. Grace, Is the Blood Atonement Grace, Is Eternal Life. Grace, Is Redemption, Justification. Grace, Is Eternal Security So how does not trusting in God & Christ to ...KEEP YOU SAVED.. insult God and The Blood of Jesus? Well, realize.....that someone has to get ALL the credit for Salvation, and Salvation is not just having your Sin forgiven.....Salvation brings you into Heaven after you die, or are raptured. Salvation makes you an "Heir of God and a Joint Heir of Christ".. Salvation, "seated you in Heavenly places RIGHT NOW", Salvation has made you "bone of Jesus bone, and flesh of Jesus Flesh", Salvation has put you "IN Christ", Salvation has "translated you from darkness to Light, made you a Child of the Light", Salvation has given you "Eternal Life"", and Salvation has recreated your new Identity "in Christ" so that "As Jesus IS in this WORLD....right now...so are all the Born again", as "all things have become NEW", and that is including YOU, if you are born again. You're new ID is "In Christ"...Colossians 2:10, "Complete in God & Christ", and GOD expects you to see yourself as HE sees you, as these scriptures just showed you. So, all that is some of what salvation did for you, and so who gets all the Credit for making all this happen for you and to you, and that includes getting you into Heaven thru Rapture or death?,? A.) God and Christ. B.) Not you. So, its insults Both of them, when a person sets that aside (Falls from Grace) as ALL THAT IS GRACE..and starts pursuing works, commandment keeping, confession of sin, enduring to the end, Holding unto your faith", as your reason- means of, in your Legalist's mindset = Making your self right with God (self righteousness) to keep yourself saved. This insults God and the Blood of Christ when you do this...when you stop trusting God thru Christ to KEEP YOU SAVED, and you start believing you can LOSE IT, then start doing all sorts of works, to try to keep yourself saved. So, if you believe you can lose your salvation, then this means you are a Legalist who has turned-fallen from Grace, turned from trusting God to keep you saved, and in doing so you are now insulting God by trying to keep yourself saved. Now here is the verse that a Legalist refuses to believe, and by not believing it, they turn to works and worry and trying to stay saved by whatever means they can keep doing, and doing, and would try to convince you that you need to be doing, also, to "stay saved". Here is the verse.: Philippians 1:6. " BEING CONFIDENT OF THIS (FAITH) = God who began your Salvation IN YOU< will be FAITHFUL to COMPLETE IT". And that is not you, if you are a Legalist. And if you believe you can lose your Salvation, then you are refusing to believe this verse and trust "God who is faithful to complete your Salvation", and by your turning to your "self salvation" attempts, thru all that you are doing to try to accomplish it for yourself, you are insulting the very God and Christ that you say you are following. STOP !! And you are doing this because you have Fallen From Grace, and you are taking the FULL Credit for Salvation away from God and the Blood and Christ, by refusing to BELIEVE That God will complete your Salvation.....Keep You Saved . So, that is Legalism. Its the mental trap that creates a Circular belief system inside the mind that causes you to BELIEVE that you can lose your Salvation. A Legalist then starts trying to resolve this, by works and effort.. And THIS BEHAVIOR and Belief system take over and denies God full credit due for your Salvation,....... = by trying to finish your Salvation, when in fact, its already finished on the Cross, and will be completed by God, and is given as a GIFT to the World. So, Legalist, you are to live holy, and abstain from the appearance of evil, and you are present your body and life as a living sacrifice to the One who bought you with a Bloody price, and you are to always, be doing this. That is your Christian Discipleship... Thats on you. But you are to never set Grace aside, and the Blood Atonement aside, and try to keep yourself saved.. As you can't.......as only God can do this for you, thru Christ, and did.
  14. The good news is, Legalism is not a life threatening condition, but it is a spiritual and mental health issue. So, lets get right to it, so that if you have been infected with this heresy, you can begin to find your way out of its theological darkness. What is Legalism? Lots of Christians have random ideas about what it could mean, but here is what it is.......This is NT legalism as found within the belief system of any believer, who is a legalist. Its simply that they believe, that, the Cross and the Blood Atonement, began their salvation, but didn't complete it. So, they take it upon themselves, to finish their salvation by : Works. Keeping Commandments. Presenting an attempt to live a holy lifestyle. Holding unto their faith, in their minds. Obsessive confession of Sin. Chasing with their lifestyle some idea of what they believe "enduring to the end", means. Legalist's are trusting in and counting on their " religious behavior", to finalize what Jesus began and finished already for them on the Cross, which God gave them for Free, when they BELIEVED... ("Justification by Faith, without the deeds of the law") So, all of this SELF EFFORT, is denying The Blood of Jesus its FULL CREDIT DUE for saving them and keeping them saved. So, how did you get into this circular reasoning mind trap? Well, the main culprit is that you are involved with teachers and other believers who are also lost within this self righteousness maze, and so, because you are surrounded by them, you dont realize your situation. Let me now ask you a question. Do you believe that Jesus The Christ deserves FULL Credit, for saving you and keeping you saved? ????? If you said "yes", then why do you believe that you can undo what you can take not credit for, which is the Cross? Its because you have been taught to think of your Salvation as : 1 part Jesus... and the rest you have to do, to finish the job. You have been lied to, by people who also believed the lie. So, to be free from this..... what do you have to resolve within your belief system....what do you have to get the revelation OF, so that you can see what you have been believing, so that you stop giving the Cross some credit for your salvation, and your commandment keeping and works, all the rest? How do you stop taking some of the Credit for your Salvation for yourself, which insults God's Grace, and God's Son? How do you stop trying to make yourself right with God, by self effort, and realize and begin to trust in Christ Alone, now and forever, to be the only and sole reason you will end up in heaven after you die. ??? And THAT, is what you have to first realize you are doing, as until you realize it, you won't understand the depth of the insult you are committing against the very Blood of Yeshua. So, here is how you start the recovery. First.....you have to come to a full understanding of your position as God's PROPERTY, "bought with a Price", that has recreated your eternal Identity as, "IN CHRIST". In other words, you have to begin, TODAY, to see yourself ONLY as God sees you, and not as you see yourself, regarding your Born Again status. You have to learn to accept how God views you, and let go of how you see yourself. When you read....>"as Jesus IS< so are YOU in this WORLD".....you have to believe it. So... Start here: Colossians 2:20 "And you are COMPLETE in Him, (In Jesus)." Now do you see that word COMPLETE? Do you understand this word? Does it mean , partial, or, a work in progress, or nearly? ? And who are you complete in? And who is complete in Jesus?......= Its every born again Person......is that you? And why does the verse say you are "IN HIM"< as the context for "complete"? Its because this is your STATUS, according to God, as a born again family member of God. And what is it lacking, if you are COMPLETE?...... Nothing. And how is this verse to be understood, not only as your eternal "sonship" status, but also, your eternal Salvation, as they are THE SAME THING....... So, IF this verse tells you that you are not only IN HIM< but you are COMPLETE< in Him, "in Christ", then what verse explains how Jesus has become your SALVATION?....as Completed, as designed by God the Father? This verse : 1st Corinthians 1:30 ""But of God, are ye IN Christ Jesus, who of God is MADE UNTO US = wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption". Now do see this part of the verse....>"who of GOD, is made unto us".... Thats the key, as what this means, is that God has taken righteousness and sanctification, and REDEMPTION , itself, and MADE IT unto us". In other words, WHO/What CHRIST IS, God has "made unto YOU". This is SALVATION....This is GRACE.....This is the Blood Atonement, as they have recreated you as "The righteousness of Christ". This is who you are now, since the day you were born again, and for all eternity. In other words, it has become, by God's power through the Holy Spirit , not just a part of us, but US......... WE have become what God has "Made unto us"...... We ARE =righteousness, sanctification, and Redemption, itself. THis is what the Cross has accomplished for us, when Jesus said ::"it is Finished" "Let the REDEEMED of the LORD...say so." So, Legalist..... what are all your works, all your good deed doing, all your commandment keeping, as compared to what God Himself has ALREADY made you to be, ....as COMPLETED, In Jesus?
  15. Legalism, is Galatians 1:8. Its very specific, and here is how you should understand it. Its when a person's belief system regarding Salvation, is that "Justification by Faith, ALONE", means to them, that they must add their self righteous works TO IT.....to complete it. Legalism means, that a person believes that Salvation is the Cross + Their Christian Discipleship (Their Works)....... In other words, they pretend that The Blood Atonement is God's Salvation, but what they really believer and argue about and teach, is that the Blood Atonement, is only a part of Redemption, and their WORKS, and yours, COMBINED< is what God accepts to save you, and keep you saved. Legalism is the heresy that teaches that The Blood of Christ + Works, is Redemption. = Galatians 1:8 Legalism is pretzel logic, that tries to corrupt the words of James, in an effort to subvert the doctrine of "Justification by Faith", that Jesus gave to Paul, personally. Now, what is the NT idea - explanation, regarding "self righteous"?? Its that a person is trying, by their works, deeds, effort, and enduring, to make themselves right with God, either before they are born again, or they are trying to maintain their Salvation, by their works, deeds, effort, and enduring, AFTER they are already saved. So, what you need to understand, is that a.... Works + The Cross = Salvation theology, .....Legalism......is actually trodding underfoot the Holy Blood of Christ, because this person, this theology, is actually teaching that Christ's Blood is not quite enough, and that "works" are needed to finish the Atonement. Legalism, disrespects and insults The Holy Spirit and The Blood of Christ, by teaching that a person's works are in some way of equal value, and need to be combined with God's Blood shed on a Cross for Salvation to be completed in a person's life. = Galatians 1:8
  16. Behold

    Jesus <> God

2nd Corinthians 4:6 : " For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ."" Let us search the way this verse reveals how Jesus is God.... John 1:10 So beautiful. --------------------------- """For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness......"""" This is not only a reference to Genesis....."let there be LIGHT". But its a reference to and a description of Yeshua, who IS TRUTH, John 14:6....& came to this fallen (Dark) World He created, John 6:51 and shined and still shines, as the "Light of the World". Its also a statement regarding spiritual darkness, as the state of the fallen, defined as "the World", as they are described as having their "mind's blinded" by the Devil. 2nd Corinthians 4:4. As.... if you are mentally - spiritually blinded, then you are INSIDE Spiritual Darkness, and it is INSIDE YOU. The verse continues... "hath shined in our hearts".... Here the idea is, that The Truth (as shining) is being revealed to us, concerning Christ, who is the shining Light of the world. He is not "a" truth, but in fact Jesus is "THE" Truth. John 14:6 and continuing the revelation, (the shining)... and now explaining the "why" of the (shining) revelation.. = what is the purpose? "to give the knowledge".... as this is the reason for all "Light" that is given. Its to reveal and impart... Its a means to open the eyes of your Spiritual UNDERSTANDING.... as something revealed by the shining Light of revelation, is an opening into the understanding of a spiritual knowledge. This is the purpose of the shining of the light (revelation) into our hearts.... And what is the revelation? First.... That Jesus has been revealed to us, by our spiritual awakening. (Quickening). We have been given the revelation that Jesus is the Messiah, The Savior, The Son of God, who is the One sent from and came down from Heaven, John 6:51. and that Jesus alone is Salvation...."THE way". "i am THE resurrection".... "that you may KNOW that you have eternal life", as Jesus IS eternal life. The reason you have eternal life right now, is because you have Jesus, who IS Eternal Life. and foremost the revelation is to expose THIS Truth.... = "of the Glory of God......(where ?) .= IN THE FACE of Jesus Christ."""" And what is the Glory of God? Its His essence.. Its His Righteousness, ..... Its His nature..... it's His image..... Its HIMSELF, revealed as JESUS the Righteous, whose name...is HOLY., and Holy is the Lamb. They are the same. They are One. In the beginning the word was God, and God Timothy 3:16. is manifested in the Flesh as "I am". This is why when Thomas, upon first seeing Jesus after He was resurrected said...."my Lord and my GOD", and Jesus didn't correct Him, as why would God correct the Truth regarding Himself ? ??? So, THIS = is why you have this verse in the NT.....> "if you've seen ME (Jesus) you've SEEN the Father,""", as God and Jesus are mirrors of each other. Jesus is the image of God, the Face of God, the Grace of God, the Truth of God, The Blood of God, the Word of God, the Spirit of God, the Glory of God, the Righteousness of God, the Heart of God, The Love of God, the Forgiveness of God, and the Power of God. Jesus is God.
  17. Saint, If you've been invested, over time, on any Christian Forum, then you have come to the realization, that about 30% of the people who use a Christian Forum are sincere, and sincerely interested in learning more, growing more, and want to use a Christian Forum, for these reasons. But then, you have the other 70% who live on these forums, with no desire to learn, but only a desire to fight, create chaos, and if possible, create confusion within someone else's belief system, regarding their Salvation. And the worst of these offenders, are Legalists. And you need to protect yourself from their poisonous heretical bible twisting mania, as it can infect you, and truly harm your walk with the Lord , and more. Lets get to it. So,... Your New Testament explains that you are to "Discern", .. And this is related to life situations, personal desire, purpose in life, but it also means you are to do it with other people and certainly with other Christians. The scripture that supports this is : 1 Corinthians 2:15. Saint, being able to discern will keep you safe in life, and will keep you from being led into dark theology that many on a Christian forum would have you believe, to your hurt. Now, how do you discern if a person is a Legalist? Well, here are the classic signs..... First, this heretic will live and obsess on the Old Testament, and also on only 3 books in the new Testament. 1. Hebrews Chapters 4...6....10. 2. James 3. Matthew Next, this heretic will try to convince you that you can Lose your Salvation. They will be found on a Christian forum, or anywhere, trying to do this to other believers. They will start Threads, they will endlessly rant and post, always using the Old Testament, James, Hebrews, and Matthew. Pay attention to this. You'll begin to discern it. Next, they will always talk about works, commandments, enduring to the end, dead faith, holding onto your faith, and never will they be able to deal with Pauline Theology, or believe that Salvation is completed. They will never accept Grace without the condition of WORKS being added to it, to "keep you saved". "Yes, i know that Jesus shed His blood to save us....BUT, here is the rest of the commandments, enduring to the end, holding unto your faith, confessing your sins.....that you must DO< to STAY SAVED">.. Discern this Saint, as you will be hearing all about it, very soon. Now keep in mind that the Legalist, does not believe that God & Christ will KEEP THEM SAVED.....so, their entire Christianity is a bitter, joyless, self effort to do it for themselves, and this is why they are endlessly trying to convince you that you need to be doing it also. They believe that you can lose your salvation, because they find it impossible to TRUST that God and Christ, will keep them Saved. They read Philippians 1:6, that explains that God started their salvation IN THEM< and will complete it.....and they refuse to accept this, as they are convinced that they need to keep themselves saved, = "Self- Righteousness". They read Hebrews 12:2, that says that Jesus started their Faith and will complete/perfect it, and they refuse to accept this, and instead will try to keep themselves saved by "holding unto their faith". Understand, that Faith does not save you.. but rather God SAVES YOU thru your faith. Faith is not the Savior.....The Savior is Christ on the Cross. Faith does not save you, but rather God giving you His righteousness, and HAS, if you are born again, makes you acceptable to Him, is what is saving you, right this very second. So, i mention that you are to discern any teacher, and the best way to discern them, is to find out what they believe about Salvation, and in fact, if they even understand it. Consider that if a person does not understand God's Grace, (Salvation), then how can they understand anything else in a New Testament. As obviously, if you dont understand Grace, The Atonement, Justification by Faith, then how can you understand anything else that matters, regarding the New Testament, and "sound doctrine"? Our New Testament, tells us to "establish our Hearts, with Grace"...Hebrews 13:9 This means to nail down, what Paul has taught us as "sound doctrine" regarding "Justification by Faith", so that you are not led astray by heretics. Rest assured that if you are ever going to grow in Grace, and receive more revelation and New Testament understanding, then you have to study, not read, but study, Paul's epistles. And not just a little bit.... As this Apostle, is the only one that Jesus chose to personally give to you what you know that is "Church Doctrine" Everything that a real student of the word needs to know, that matters, that is the "main thing", "sound doctrine" "church doctrine" ...= you will find and discover by studying the words of Paul. Paul is the only apostle who told you to "be a follower of ME, as I follow Christ"... 1 Corinthians 11:1 IN 2nd Peter, Peter says that Paul's letters are "scripture", and equal to the Torah. (OT). Imagine an apostle saying that another apostles letters are equal to SCRIPTURE, the word of GOD. But that is he wrote, as that is a fact. This is why most of our NT< is composed by Paul. So, this is one more way for you to discern a Christian's soundness, and accuracy, and truthfulness, regarding what they believe. Notice if they are of the understanding that Paul's Theology, and His Epistles matter most to the believer, regarding understanding what God wants you to know, ...."sound doctrine"..."church doctrine". Legalists, have a spiritual blindness toward's Paul. They will twist one or 2 verses of his verses to try to teach you that you can lose it....but, they have no grounding in his Theology, are not familiar with his letters, and will never be, as Paul is the one that explains in Galatians 1:8 that they and their theology, are "cursed of God". And Saint, when you run into one of these, and they are foaming at the mouth to try to get you to doubt your eternal security, and they are only too happy to TRY to convince you that you can lose you salvation.....you remember what i have told you in my 3 Legalism Threads, and you can discern these heretics and protect yourself and your family. Now, its a good idea if you discern me. You should try. See, i have no fear of this, and welcome your examination. Here is what i do......I give God and Christ full credit for saving me and keeping me saved. I give them full credit for Salvation. I would not dare pretend that i can save myself or keep myself saved by my works, or anything that i can ever do, such as keeping laws, confessing sin, or keeping commandments, or enduring to the end, or any of this phony baloney, self righteousness. I know who the Savior is, and its not ME. I would never try to talk you out of your salvation, or cause you to have doubts about your salvation being completed, "in Christ". I would never have you living your Christian life, in fear, worried that you might go to hell if you don't do certain things and maintain a certain lifestyle. See, God didnt save you because of what you would or would not do LATER, after you are SAVED....He only saved you and keeps you saved because of what Jesus the Christ did for you on a Cross that has Redeemed you, for eternity. Thats IT. Bottom LINE. So, now, also discern my understanding of Salvation, as i explain it simply. The issue is RIGHTEOUSNESS. We dont have any, of ourselves, ours is "filthy rags" according to Paul and the book of Romans,.....and this condition that we are born into, is called...."LOST". "Lost", means, in Christian Terms, that our unholiness has created a disconnect and a division between us and Holy GOD. So, to solve this disconnect, and to build an eternal bridge between Himself and us, He offers a means, whereby we can have His very Righteous, for ourselves. And this Righteousness, is "Christ's righteousness". Without it, we are lost and bound for hell. But with it, we are delivered from Eternal Judgment , = hell = Lake of Fire. So, God wrapped Himself in Human flesh, was born of a Virgin, and Jesus as God and fully man, was manifested in the flesh to save us. 1 Timothy 3:16 "Save us", means, God as Christ lived a holy life AS A MAN, sinless, which resolved the issue of the Law, that was judging us as unrighteous and lost. On the Cross, shedding His Blood, ...God as Jesus the Christ, bore our sin's and removed the law from its capacity to judge us in eternity. Christ rejectors will face God as Judge, and the Born Again, meet God as their FATHER..."abba". God then, (as we hear the Gospel and believe in Christ), takes our sin and lets Christ die for it, and He takes Christ's righteousness, and imparts it to us, gives it to us, so that we become Born again, new creatures, and have now the very Righteousness of Christ, as OUR Righteousness. And from that moment, (born again) God never again imputs our sins to us....Romans 4:8, and we are "accepted in the beloved", we are family members, for eternity, and nothing can change this, because its all provided for us, and given to us, and kept for us for FREE. Philippians 1:6
  18. Hi. I've been seeking the Lord for my Salvation and I come across the responsibility of man as mentioned in the Bible. So, I wanted to ask about the Responsibility of man and the Grace of God, Sovereignty of God. The Bible in different places commands us to do something, or rather, to change. For example, In 1 Peter 5:6, "Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time." James 4:10 "Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up" Matthew 23:12 "And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." Ezekiel 18:31 "Cast away from you all the transgressions that you have committed, and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit! Why will you die, O house of Israel?" 2 Chronicles 7:14 "if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land." And GOD, throughout the old testament, keeps telling Israel and even other nations also at times like- Nineveh (Jonah), through Prophets, etc to Repent and turn to HIM. And in the New Testament, we are told to Repent and Believe. These verses seem to put it up, like humbling oneself or having a new heart and a new spirit, to Repent, as human responsibility to do what's been asked of us to do. And so it implies also that we naturally have the ability to do what's been asked of us to do and that it's possible for us to do it without God's help, just by our will? Because if we can't', then why would He ask that of us? But the Bible also puts things the other way, which seems opposite, that we can do these things only by God's Intervention/ Grace, power: Acts 16:14 ".....The Lord opened her heart to pay attention to what was said by Paul" Luke 24:45 "Then He[Jesus] opened their minds to understand the Scriptures" Acts 18:26-40, The case of the Ethiopian Eunuch Ezekiel 11:19 (cf. Ezekiel 36:26, Hebrews 8:10, Jeremiah 32:33) "And I will give them one heart, and a new spirit I will put within them. I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh" In Daniel 4, God humbles Nebuchadnezzar, after which he praises God, for doing so and humbling him. So, what should we do when we come across such commands in the Bible? Should we wait for God to do something that we can't or we don't have the ability (will) to unless God intervenes in some way, or, should we do what we are commanded to (to Repent, be Humble, change our hearts and minds) assuming that have the ability(the will)? It is said that we have the ability and faculties for dong what we are commanded to do, that if we 'will', we can do it, but that the problem is that we can't Truly 'will' without the work, influence of God in our heart. Spurgeon says about this : "The question is, are men ever found naturally willing to submit to the humbling terms of the gospel of Christ? We declare, upon Scriptural authority, that the human will is so desperately set on mischief, so depraved, and so inclined to everything that is evil, and so disinclined to everything that is good, that without the powerful. supernatural, irresistible influence of the Holy Spirit, no human will ever be constrained towards Christ". If this is True, then, How should we then carry out our Responsibility ?
  19. 1. My Life Before Christ Before I found my true love, Jesus Christ, I was full of lust and perversion, proud, sadistic, angry, vengeful, argumentative, disrespectful to my family, manipulative, self-hating, apathetic towards life, anxious, God-hating, brute, depressed, black metal loving, Christian hating, evolutionist, Jesus Christ denying Satanist. To give a quick back story, when I was 11, I had an experience with an entity. At the age of 13, I became obsessed with aliens and UFOs to the point I sought contact. After succeeding, I had several disturbing experiences with what I now know to be demons; I thought they were aliens at the time. At the age of 14, I learned about Tarot, and got my first deck at 15. It was at that point I got into "New Age", experimenting with channeling, believing I was an indigo child. At the age of 17, I left the "New Age" and ventured into Vampyrism. Half a year later, I delved into Crowley and briefly looked into Satanism. Near the end of my 17th year, I decided I'd become a LaVeyan Satanist when I was 18; the age I considered myself a legal adult. Six months into my eighteenth year, I became a Theistic Satanist. I stayed in that for a number of years, branching off into generic dark occultism, then to Atheism, and finally as a result of several supernatural experiences to Theistic Luciferianism. During this time, I experienced numerous nightmarish manifestations. However, I was too blinded by pride, stubbornness, and a lust for power and knowledge to care of the end road. I knew I was going to Hell, I knew Hell was real, I knew Satan hated me, and I even went so far as to tell God Himself to scrape off my name from the Lamb's Book of Life. Towards the end, I began building a Luciferian order, gathering members, building doctrine, and so on. It was at this point that I knew I was far beyond the point of no return. 2. How I Came to Jesus Christ God saw it fit to take the things I was obsessed over, the things I worshiped, and shatter them so completely, I could never pick up the pieces. Everything I believed in, He destroyed. Everything I loved and which I would escape into, He obliterated. Nothing remained. At the time, I didn't know God was responsible for doing this and ended up lost in a two-week long depression of the likes I had never experienced before. I literally cried when I would look up at the sky, so I kept my eyes to the ground, secluding myself in the darkness of my room as much as I was able. Once the depression turned into a tolerable numbness, I told Satan I had no interest in lying about things anymore for him. I told him I was simply, "done" with all the deception and didn't care that I was breaking my oath and my contract, nor of the consequences of doing so; I was fully prepared to lose everything. With that, I walked away from Luciferianism, deciding that while I was still going to Hell, I could at least do some good in the world. I felt so hopeless, so confused, and so lost, though I knew not to expect forgiveness from God, though I apologized to Him anyways, leaving it at that. I took everything occult I owned, shoved it in a bag, and to the landfill it went. I deleted all my files, destroyed my organization, renounced everything from my past, and moved on. One week later, despite how unworthy and disgusting I felt about who I was and what I had done, I repented fully to God. Two weeks from that point, when I was still 33 years old, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I prayed that I would come to know and love Him. 3. My Life With Christ The lord has transformed me. Where I was full of lust and perversion, The Lord has caused disgust and nausea to well in me at the very thought of my prior perversions. Where I once championed pride, The Lord has brought me down to show me humility. Where I was once sadistic, The Lord has shown me mercy and compassion. Where I was angry, The Lord has shown me joy. Where I was vengeful, The Lord has made me detest vengeance. Where I was argumentative, The Lord has been teaching me patience and longsuffering. Where I was disrespectful to my family and elders, The Lord has blessed me, healing the wounds I caused, teaching me respect and patience. Where I was manipulative, The Lord has shown me service. Where I was self-hating, The Lord has shown me that I'm made in His Mighty Image. Where I was apathetic towards life and nature, The Lord has shown me the beauty of both, for He made it all. Where I was God-hating and unloving, The Lord has planted and watered a seed which is growing into love. Where I was brute, The Lord has shown me grace. Where I was depressed, The Lord has showered me with peace. Where I was confused, The Lord has shown me knowledge and has lit my way. Where I loved chaotic music, The Lord has turned me to harmony. Where I hated Christians and sought to divide them, The Lord has converted my heart, blessing me with a need to bring unity. Where I was an evolutionist, The Lord showed me the truth of Creation. Where I denied Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ has redeemed me. Where I was a Satanist, destined for Hell, Jesus Christ brought me to the wonderful and precious knowledge of His saving Grace. Praise His Mighty Name! Thank you, Jesus, for showing me that even as far as I fell, You were there, always, and you never stopped loving me. For the unbelievers reading this, know that Jesus Christ is real and so is His Power and Authority. Know that He can save you as He saved me if only you ask Him. Know that He can transform your life and give you real purpose, real love, and real knowledge if only you will turn to Him.
  20. Greetings, What are we grateful of today? If I can make a suggestion, it would be before you get out of bed, the first thing you do is tell God how thankful you are to be alive and share your gratefulness with Him about anything else that you are inspired about. I need to do more of this myself, but I think God appreciates that sort of thing. 🙂 Peace
  21. I've encountered a teaching that seems to be quite prevalent, at least here in Israel. I first heard it taught in "The Purpose Driven Life" by Pastor Rick Warren and I have since encountered this teaching in 3 different Messianic Congregations here in Israel. That message is basically, 'forgiveness does not mean trust: that we as believers must forgive as Jesus taught, even 77 times (or 70 times 7 times) but that does not mean trusting the other person. They must re-earn our trust' and I basically just accepted this message as fact since it does seem to be reasonable. Then a few months ago, I finally watched the 1935 version of Les Miserables. For some inexplicable reason, I had been wanting to read or watch it for the last year or so but kept putting it off. When I finally encountered that scene with the Bishop and Jean Valjean, something hit me very hard about it. The way the bishop gave Jean the silver candlesticks when the police brought him back to the place and then the way the bishop told him before he left that he is always welcome there and that the front door is the proper way and not by any other means. It may be fictional, but it reminded me of a factual story. The story from "The Cross and the Switchblade" and the way in which David Wilkerson led Niki Cruz and gang to the Lord. How he had finally gotten several gang members and others from the community together in an auditorium to share with them the Gospel message and how David Wilkerson asked Niki Cruz and his gang to take up the offering. As they were going through the passage up to the balcony, they noticed an exit door and were about to run off with the money when suddenly it occurred to them: 'This guy is trusting us. No one has ever trusted us before' and they brought the offering up to David. That single act of trust was instrumental in dissolving NYC gangs and eventually lead to hundreds of inner city Victory Outreach Missions throughout the world today, including one in Haifa, Israel. So I started asking myself, "Why is it whenever this message of 'forgiveness does not equal trust' is taught, they do not bring any scriptural support for it?" And I'm kind of hard pressed. I am no doctor of scripture but I am quite familiar in a general overview sort of way and usually when I am troubled like this, the Lord will bring to memory scriptural support. But none arises to memory. Three insights have been occurring to me and I'd really like some input here: 1) Forgiveness minus Trust really equals unforgiveness; 2) The person may be being hypocritical, saying to the other that they are forgiven, but their behavior, attitude and actions do not outwardly demonstrate it; 3) We are supposed to show to others the same Grace God showed us. God doesn't tell us, "I forgive you but now you must earn my trust". How then could we approach His Throne of Grace... How then will He welcome us into His Home? If I am way off base here, then please let me know. I've been wrong many times in the past, and will be pleasantly surprised if I am way wrong about this: it will be an excellent reminder of how fallible I am and how much I need to be involved regularly in open discussions with other followers of Christ. God Bless! Joe
  22. Greetings, I just wanted to talk a moment about some really great things God Almighty is doing and guiding me in right nowo. God is so gracious to be teaching me right now more about letting go of the past and focusing on the present. I mean minutes, seconds and milliseconds. Its so easy to think of tomorrow being something that we can do nothing about. But what about a moment ago? What about a minute that a thought comes in your mind that could hinder what God is saying to us? God thinks differently than we do. His thoughts are higher than our thoughts and His ways are higher than our ways, (Isaiah 55:8-9. Just yesterday I was at work and found out that our largest lawn mower has sold by my coworker, to someone that I had talked to before about buying it. In the furniture store I work at we have ways to identify the other salespersons sale and their customer. Not being there the day before, it wasn't possible to know if it was a conflict in this, but it crossed my mind. While walking around, I was beginning to find myself questioning this and my feelings. As I began having emotions about missing this great sale and income opportunity, God spoke to my spirit, " Thats in The Past. Are you going to spend your time and emotions on yesterday, or are you going to trust ME for the present, HE asked"? After all, my store is only a means by which God gives provision. God is THE one Who gives me ALL things that pertain to life and godliness. Our lives are described as a vapour in God's Word, (James 4:14). Focusing forward was my lesson for that situation and not putting my trust in something that could take my attention away from my Lord and Savior. Living in the moment is a key to being able to hear God more clearly. I know that the past happens instantly. Moment by moment, and second by second. Time has many measurements by which we can easily live our lives. God is teaching me that the past isn't about just not worrying about the things that have gone by yesterday, (in which we can not do anything about) . The past happens fast enough to leave you unable to hear God's voice for the very moment we are in right now. I want to be ready to live for God to the best of His ability. To be in the awareness of God's guidance with every fleeting second.
