Luke 10:19 Behold, I (Christ) give unto you power to tread on serpents (Kenites) and scorpions (fallen angels), and over all the power of the enemy (Satan): and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. Did you get this from the Shepard's Chapel teaching? If not, why do you think the serpents are referring to Kenites in Luke?

I don't think the bible states this outright but there is proof in two places that shows that satan had to get permission from God to do what he wanted to and on both occasions God brought the subject up. Its us who give him the power and authority, when we listen to and do the things he asks, evrything from lust, hate , jealousy, unfogiveness, drugs,, alchohol abuse, power, greed, ye , he is not as limited as you think. In Hos Love I agree. There are some verses showing that demons needed permission to 'enter' their victim, but Satan (or dark forces) have way too much power in this world. We are only deluding ourselves if we think that Satan does not have a very powerful foothold. Remember how Jesus was tempted in the desert, and Satan said that if Christ bowed to him, then he (Satan) would give Christ control over all the cities he could see? Satan couldn't do this if it didn't belong to him in some sense? Here is some evidence (In my humble opinion) of Satan's control and influence 1) Disease 2) Evolution: Genetic diseases, imperfect bodies, lust 3) War (way too many examples to mention here!) 4) Ignorance: the biological (human) brain has many limitations, easily confused, and diseased. 5) The fact that no human political system has produced desired results (Communism, Capitalism, etc. all have a lot of problems) 6) Natural disasters that we have no control over If God were in control (in this world), I imagine that these things wouldn't exist. If that's true, then God lost control of this world when Adam ate the fruit. Think about it. All those things you mentioned have been a part of this world since Adam was kicked out of the Garden.
