And the last will be first.

What does this mean?God has been repeating this to me. What is He saying here?

Is this not the parable of the vineyard workers? Correct me if I'm wrong...please.

I always seen it as God being fair. No matter when you begin your walk you will be treated the same as someone who started their walk long before you.....

Did that make sense? I will have to read it again to try to explain my view better....

Maybe that will be good reading for me tonight.... :horse:

it is also from Mark 9:

33 They came to Capernaum. When he was in the house, he asked them, "What were you arguing about on the road?" 34 But they kept quiet because on the way they had argued about who was the greatest.

35 Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, "If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last, and the servant of all."

and I think here Jesus is telling us that we have to put our self last, that it is the true servant that will be first in His kingdom. Any time we do something for the glory here on earth, we are doing it for the wrong reason.

:horse:

I can't argue with that....

I'll make note of Mark 9 also.....

Matthew 19:23-30 and Mark 10:23-31

With God All Things Are Possible

Then Jesus said to His disciples,

Those who are willing to and do serve, even as a slave, will receive the greatest reward from Christ who is in Heaven.
