I resent the U.S. threatening it's friendship with Israel as a means to coerce them into compliance with world demands. They can't influence Iran into doing what's in the world's best interests but since Israel is so vulnerable and agreeable why don't we just badger them instead? The U.S. must figure since the Muslims aren't going to be very flexible in their demands they will just push on the one who has less going for them. Something's got to give right? It's a bad move on the part of the U.S. and it doesn't bode well for our futures as we shift from being a blessing to Israel to becoming a hindrance instead. They are fortunate that they are not living in the American colonies during the 1760s. Tarring and feathering was quite an effective American practice. According to PBS, it began to appear in New England seaports in the 1760s and was most often used by patriots against the tyrannical Brits. While the practice stopped short of murder, it was often used against tax collectors. In March 1765, the British Parliament passed the Stamp Act, a tax to be levied on documents from legal papers to newspapers to playing cards. By November 1, 1765, the day the Stamp Act was to officially go into effect, PBS says: "there was not a single stamp commissioner left in the colonies to collect the tax."
