Even more interesting would be the meaning of the volcano's name...and it's correct pronunciation.

I agree with Hunt, but I just hope it does not keep being pest in the travel realm, in November/December. We need to get to Norway!

BTW we have been routed through Frankfurt, Copenhagen, and Amsterdam on our flights to Norway, now, looking up tickets, they want to route us through Reykjavik Iceland!

:24: here in the Uk we have had one major ...every airline shut ....... incident because of this volcano and one that shut the airports in ireland and Scotland for a couple of days. It could be months before the volcano finally settles down again but apparently most of Iceland is unafected as the wind is blowing the ash the other way :24:

"Northern Ireland" NOT "Ireland" as you incorrectly put it. Political Correctness is a must im afraid. Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom, Ireland is not.

Why on earth are you going to the "land of the midnight Sun" in the middle of winter, when it's going to be cold and very dark? Sill Icelandic ,or anyother, Volcanoes probably look good in the dark.
