This weekend, the U.S. and Israel sent an armada of warships through the Suez Canal and it seems that war is imminent! So how could this fit into the prophetic picture? The fishers precede the hunters in bringing/sending the Jews back to Israel. The Nazi hunters were brutal. I sure hope the hunting from our nation doesn't have to come to that. Does this mean 2 have been found? There were 12 tribes - well, 13 actually, if you want to be technical. Joseph's tribe was split into Ephraim and Manassas. But the tribe of Levi had not inheritance. The Kingdom of Israel split into 2 during the reign of Solomon's son Rehoboam. 10 tribes to the North and 2 tribes (Judah and Benjamin) to the South. The Northern Kingdom was conquered by Assyria and the people taken into captivity and scattered throughout the world. The Southern Kingdom was conquered by Babylon and most of the people taken to captivity. In Babylon, they were called "Jews" after the name of the southern Kingdom, Judah. When the Jews of Babylon (the tribes of Judah, Benjamin, and Levi) returned to Israel, they kept the name "Jews." Although the NT does mention one person for one of the other tribes (Anna was from the tribe of Asher), it's either unknown or debatable what happened to the tribes of the Northern kingdom, and thus they are considered "the 10 lost tribes". They were named Asher, Dan, Ephraim, Gad, Issachar, Manasseh, Naphtali, Reuben, Simeon, and Zebulun
