By Ron Paul, 14th District of Texas

The 9-11 Commission report, released late last month, has disrupted the normally quiet Washington August. Various congressional committees are holding hearings on the report this week, even though Congress is not in session, in an attempt to show the government is

We have far more to fear from an unaccountable government at home than from any foreign terrorist.

Yes. The problem is two parted. The terrorists being there is a part of the problem, however 100% of the responsability of a rampant goverment is the public. The fact that people voted for Bush is moot at this point, there is are not enough people saying no to things like the Patriot Act (1 & 2). The goverment is touting that going against the Patriot Act is going against peace, justice, right, our very country, and sadly people are listening; possibly even intimidated. Just my thoughts, thanks for the article.

Good stuff, but the foriegn threats are a problem also.

We can't ignore that now. We have made plenty of messes overseas, but have helped around the world as well. To simply pull our troops home tomorow from every other country would be disasterous in today's world. A policy of pulling back would take years to do it in safety, but I'm all for it.
