It was great and there was NO ROOM left on the mall, It had a bigger attendance that anything Beck could hope for. Go to CSPAN and look at the video and then form an opinion. Why do you assume I also didn't watch it live? I watched this and Becks, and no way was there anywhere close to the number of people at the "sanity" rally that Beck had at his rally. The news last night said the sanilty rally had about 60,000 people. Beck's rally drew between 300,000 and 500,000.

This was satire. Satire or not, the AP report indicated it was liberal-leaning. I have two friends, both "bleeding heart Liberals" who attended the event. I have not heard of any Conservatives who attended. How is this non-polarizing?

Anything that strays from fundamental and unchangable christian values whether they be spiritual, theological or political is on the Left and no professing christian should be supporting it. Why do you believe that Mr. Average Joe Democrat is a gay supporting, pro-choice, entitlement seeker who has disdain for fundamental Christian conservatives? What information leads you to this conclusion? I don't know every Democrat, as you don't, but the ones I do know work, pay taxes, go to church, some are pro-life and some are not.....but none of them hold Christians in contempt. Most of them are Christians themselves while a couple are just no religion at all and only a couple of them are planning on voting for Obama a second time around. I don't believe that being left of center is the same as being a far left lunatic; not at all. You just can't pigeonhole people that neatly.....not realistic. Btw, when I was a Democrat, I didn't believe in any of those things you listed and I sure didn't have disdain for fundamental Christians; instead, I wanted to BE one! I love that and I've actually never heard it before but it sure works, it sure works. I made that one up myself. For you see, bats are not blind - they have two perfectly good eyes! They see in the dark via sonar radar. With laryngitis, then, they are truly blind. (Usually I'd say, "As blind as a bat with laryngitis," but for some reason I felt like shortening it this time.) I think there is a mixup on Republican vs Democrat and liberal vs conservative. Would Jesus be a Republican or Democrat? No. Would Jesus have conservative views? Yes and we can name many that the liberal will call "insulting."
