Sin:

Rom. 5:12 "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:"

Rom. 5:19 "For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners,..."

1Cor. 15:22 "For as in Adam all die, ..."

------------------------------------------------

Deut. 24:16 "The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers (2Chron.25:54) :every man shall be put to death for his own sin." (2 Kings 14:6)

Ezek. 18:20 "The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him."

Ezek.33:20 "O ye house of Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways."

Jer. 31:29-30 "In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the children's teeth are set on edge. But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge."

Don't the top verses contradict the bottom verses?

Your thoughts?

What's your question? Have I asked God? Have I asked Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John? I've asked for YOUR opinions, and if you don't have one that's fine, but don't just say, "ask God" and expect me to leave it at that.

I've read the scripture, but the question is the scripture itself. I'm asking for some honest opinions(preferably backed by facts)not Bible quotes.

Actually the top verses you are referring is talking about SIN that are sins of commission, whereas the verses in Romans is referring to the inherited sinful nature that we are born with.

The New Testament is talking about Spiritual death, but the Old Testament references are talking about consequences resulting in physical death.

With much agape love,

George

Prime:

In addition to my above post let me just say this concerning your last post.  Differences of time play a major role in the supposed contradictions of the Bible.  Conditions true at one time may not be true at another.  For example, in the Old Testament, GOD promised HIS people physical prosperity if they would remain faithful to HIM (Deut 28-30).

But, in the New Testament, the emphasis of blessing SHIFTS from earth to Heaven.  GOD now promises Believers that HE will reward their obedience in eternity (Romans 8:18-25).  In the Bible there will always be differences of perspective.  Many alleged discrepancies are due to the imagination of the critic who is more interested in finding problems than in finding solutions.  If this seems to raise an excessive number of problems, keep in mind that science, law, history, and medicine are full of situations where conflicting information exists.  Yet seldom does anyone toss up his/her hands and assume that there are no answers just because answers have not yet been found.  In reading the Bible many times it just boils down to a lack of understanding by the reader as to what the AUTHOR meant.

The bloodlines are different because one is simply the bloodline of Joseph, while the other is the bloodline of Mary.

Wow George that was amazing! Praise God in heaven. In you we have a great administrator because you lead us to the scriptures and there we find the answers. I am so amazed that from now on I will not simply skim over the geneaolgies whenever I read the Bible.

Prime - You have to admit this was pretty covincing, huh?
