Most of our food is shipped over a thousand miles before it's eaten, and farming uses a large amount of energy and fertilizer which raises the price needed for the farmers to exist. Oil prices are our main problem in the US concerning food prices. Not only that OO but the winter grains have been either under water, burned up or lost in drought, couple with what you wrote food is going to be sky high. Even the UN is concerned that the food aide to all those needy countries will not be fulfulled due to all the weather related problems. We hear so much about the weather every year that it's hard for us around here to judge how much they really know about it. When farming, one seldom gets really good weather, it's almost always either too wet or to dry or too cold or something. but that usually just keeps us from having bumper crops..... I've grown very tired of listening to the UN, they still think cow burps are causing global warming. It was -5 here two days ago, and that's not wind chill. So, it's kind of hard to know who to believe and who not....... but I do know the price of oil from the small checks we get every month. We have part royalty interest in two oil wells close to our house...... brings in from ten to twelve dollars a month... LoL
