Guest Posted February 22, 2011 Share Posted February 22, 2011 What do you think of the Peace symbol? Is it just an upside cross within a circle, or is it something else? Peter was crucified upside down, remember? I learned at a young age, in the 60s and early 70s when it was prominent in the protests against the war, that it is actually an emblem of Satan. The secular world has no idea of its meaning, but as Christians shouldn't we know what it stands for and not place it on our cars or wear it on our tee shirts? From what i know, during that time it was the phase of the hardcore "superspiritual" christians that saw the devil's hand in everything. anyone remember when they said the smurfs and carebears cartoons were satanic? There were several "ministries" on the radio during that time that found the devil in almost everything . . . Rock music, "christian" rock, and yes, even the smurfs and carebears . . . . Right! It is semaphore for ND or nuclear disarmament. Lets not read into it something that is not there. It stands for what it stands for, and has been adopted as the peace sign, as has the peace flag. It has been used more for the force of good, rather than evil.
