It has been one of those weeks. Only worse.

I have seen death, and searched long sandy beaches for it as well, with only a forlorn pair of sandals as a monument to a life.

I heard the hurt in a good friend

It has been one of those weeks. Only worse.

I have seen death, and searched long sandy beaches for it as well, with only a forlorn pair of sandals as a monument to a life.

I heard the hurt in a good friend's voice.

I have worked from dawn to late into dusk, and sweated in heat and dust, fighting for water which just would not flow.

I have suffered verbal abuse from every side.

But does that all really matter?

Not really, because it is already in the past.

Tomorrow is my future, not yesterday, or today, or right now.

And Jesus is my tomorrow, my future, my yesterday, my today, my right now.

And right now I need to be reminded of that.

So for all of you out there who have had one of those weeks.

Be reminded.

Oh, and one last thing about the future. That which we fear has not yet occurred.

So why bother?

(and other such whimsical thoughts....)

Don't feel compelled to answer, move on, nothing to see here.

Just a tired soul trying to put the ramblings of his mind into some semblance of order.

I think I might be going mad :whistling:

back off from a good solid (non penetrable material like block or brick) wall 25 to 30 feet and run as fast as you can and right before impact tuck your head down...

after you regain consciousness you will find relief that you are still alive  a much improved emotional state then that of insanity  Love Steven

i think my vocabulary is going to expend from just reading your post and looking up new to me words... assuming I memorize them that is. Which psychology says is best done by associating a particular thing that needs to be memorized and or remembered withing a context. I guess it means associating a picture of a man in a dark coat and no brighter hat on a bus stop or walking pass one and on his way up the street through the outpouring of the record rain levels, and some imaginary dark swirling form or shape(minus the colors) to represent chaos added to the picture... all to better remember the word "forlorn". or use the word "resemblance" to better the odd of remembering "semblance". :)

a much need reminder... but one easily heeded.

compelled i am. and actually inspired to pen down some of my own tired soul and its trying to put the ramblings of my mind into some semblance of order and or forlorn. say, if i myself understood what i just said, because i think i might be going mad myself.

sound to be an idea most appealing... minus the pain of the impact and the risk of death though, somehow i can? Edited by Aleksander

Your whimsical thoughts are just fine, Fez.

Thanks for the word!

Matthew 11:28

Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Fez old pal, all you need is an ice cold beer and a long soak in a hot tub.
