Not everyone who has wealth is in love with their riches. It is simply a matter of education, stewardship, and following God. This whole idea that it is evil for those who have any form of success, work hard, use their money wisely, and allow God to use them to further the kingdom... It is just wrong. But I believe we will have to agree to disagree on this. God bless, GE

Those aren't my words someone else said that but I don't know who. You see guys, the money is ok and good, it pays the bills, and buys food for eating. But we have to remember that if we have a lot of it we can tend to get caught up in money. It is just as Isaiah said. Money is an object just like a brick. You can use the brick to bash someone or you can use the brick to bash a guy who is attacking an orphanage. You could also use many bricks to build a prison and force innocent people into that prison. Or you could use those bricks to build that very same prison and put criminals behind bricks for good. Either way, the streets have less people. Those bricks could also be used to make the Berlin wall all over again which could separate families and friends from one another. But, the bricks could be formed into a powerful wall used to keep enemies at bay. Its your choice and your choice matters. God understands our choices. God bless, GE No GE but it is sure a good way to test someones heart.I am not talking about just having some money I am talking about having alot of money. Say for an example a man gets an offer for this HUGE promotion at his job.We are talking big bucks.Everything he has always dreamed of.Yes,he is thinking success but this job would be more work.He also was told that he might have to take a few trips out of town with this wonderful new promotion. His friends have told him that their are also a few women in this organization and some of these married co-workers have gotten together with these women and had some fun.Maybe too much fun. This man loves his wife and children very much. How many men are going to pass this up and say "No way,it is just not honorable"?.And walk away possibly jeopardizing his current position. I disagree with your view. Everyone is different, what is only some money to certain people is a lot for others. You view that wealth and money is inherently bad, which is wrong. There are people who have been trained to handle vast amount of wealth and still lead a godly life (Joseph, Abraham for example) because responsibilities has been added on to them as their abilities increased. I personally knew a couple of such people. Many people use their position of power and wealth to blessed people, just because you can't handle it or you don't think they can, mean that they can't. What you mention is a specific case that the person facing it should decide depending on his susceptibility to temptation and walk with God. Why? Rom 6:16a 16 Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death,... what is death but the cessation of continuance with God does money continue ...No Isa 55:1 55 "Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you who have no money, Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk Without money and without price. NKJV does the world continue... No 2 Peter 3:10-11 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. 11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness NKJV therefore it is that Rom 6:16b-17 or, of obedience leading to righteousness? 17 But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. NKJV What doctrine? We see it in the temptation of Christ where we are to deny bodily substance and all that is in the world... Because in this manner only can we know and show the world that He 'IS' worth more to us then the things of this world! It is the path of life to God to reckon ones self dead to self and this world but alive to God... No Wonder their response was such as it was including even themselves in the inquiry- Matt 19:25-26 25 When His disciples heard it, they were greatly astonished, saying, "Who then can be saved?" 26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." You cannot immerse yourself within a system that has been in design since the fall of man, a system, that was given over to satan for his use ... and think it benign! Eph 2:1-3 2 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, NKJV Notice the course of this world -clearly a different course than the one we are now to be walking! The point above is if you spend your energy and focus on that which passes away you cannot be in obedience to The Lord Who says are focus is to be this way Col 3:1-4 3 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. NKJV It really is a no brainer! Love, Steven
