G-d .......thats their business. But, why don't they use it, in the writing of their own language only. I was merely pointing out, about the usage of the English language. In the English laungage, the G and the D are part of the letters of the alphabet. To say God verbally, or even when writing it, it has to have a vowel in it. No one is suggesting that YOU (directed at everyone here) has to do this...or even approve of this. Some people show reverence to the Name of God in this way. Is there something wrong with showing reverence to that Name? Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean it's wrong. To say that "our way" is the only right way when there is plenty of room for honest disagreement is legalism. ...speaking of false piety??? THAT is how an observant jew would feel about everyone saying he is falsely pious for maintaining respect of God's name. Some people in this thread have the attitude of "well it doesn't offend me so to hell with everyone else" That is not showing respect...much less love...to those we don't understand. In light -f the fact that y-d said " -H .......Y-U are just a stupid jerk." and it was stated and implied -nly t- try t- get a p-int acr-ss and he wasn't calling any-ne a stupid jerk, you still have t- take int- c-nsideration that wh- he was p-sting to, might have felt insulted -r mist--k it t- mean that he was calling her a STUPID jerk. Perhaps a different phrase f-r illustration purp-ses c-uld have been used t- keep any-ne fr-m misunderstanding the p-int that was trying t- be made. If someone thinks they are honoring God by spelling it without the vowel, who are you to pass judgement? Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another.
