Boycott Ends: PepsiCo will not use aborted fetal cell lines for flavor enhancers

(Largo, Fl) Children of God for Life announced today the stunning news that PepsiCo will not use aborted fetal cell line HEK-293 (human embryonic kidney) in their contractual agreement with Senomyx to develop flavor enhancers for their beverages.

I am glad to hear this. I stopped buying Pepsi products when I found out what they were doing, in spite of the fact that I prefer their Throwback drinks to those with high fructose corn sweetner.

I never even heard of this...but, ewww...just the thought of that is disgusting. I'll definately write and express my thanks for Pepsi for NOT doing that. ICK!

actually its more of a publicity farce, pepsi never inteded to in the first place-they did already use them to develop the flavor, but once it was developed they were going to synthesize it. All the pro life people stood up and boycotted it-thankfully, though a bit to late, and they came out and said that they were definetly not going to do it. Im glad that their no longer doing it and arnt planning on it again, but its to bad they had to do it in the first place, and that it was done before people caught on to it.
