The Old Covenant laws (Ten Commandments) were transformed into New Covenant laws through Jesus Christ. Following are the Ten Commandments from the old covenant compared to the equivalent new covenant commandments.

Old Covenant Ten Commandments Equivalent New Covenant Laws

3. Do not take God's name in vain

Do not swear by anything, avoid hypocrisy…

Parker, I am confused. What you said makes it sound like we were passed from one tough set of rules and regulations into an even tougher set set of rules and regulations,

Love God with everything in you... by doing that slowly we have the desire to be more Christ like, it starts with salvation, accepting the Christ as our Lord and Savior, and then as we continue to read and pray and worship we slowly grow and follow more and more of what Jesus wanted us to do... ^_^
